*****Official (??) June 2014 Thread -- Party Like It's Hot!*****

No issues at all. Granted all we did was leave for lunch and reenter via International Gateway, so we were only out of the park about 2 hours. But no, we never had any issues.

We waited at least 2 hours for our spot. We always stake out something really early on the 4th.

Thank you so much. I appreciate all your advice :goodvibes

Whoop whoop, only 60 days to go. FP+ opened for me last night 11 pm CST and I was able to snag a E&A FP for me and my DD5. She is going to be so excited!!!! I am excited to not have to wait in a long line or tell her we can't see them! I got my DH and my DD12 a FP+ at the same time for SM since they didn't want to meet them. Now we will just wait to see if we walk up with them if we can get a Child swap pass for me without having the FP before we head to meet them. If I don't it won't be a big deal. I was able to get everything I wanted now I hope that I don't second guess my plans.

Since we're in L.A., we were able to book our FP+ on 9 pm Sunday. (Because 9pm Pacific time = midnight Eastern time!) Got everything we wanted except Wishes and MSEP are not showing up yet.

Also still hoping against hope that Lion King will reopen early.

Oh, I didn't think about that! It will be good to take advantage of the time difference since it will be hard to adjust at 6am when we get there. At least there is one good thing about it!

FP+s = booked (barring a changeout if the mine train comes online!)
Online Checkin = done!
First Disney Gift Card = bought! (got gas credit for it at Randall's)

Really feel like it's around the corner!

What was your experience like? Any surprises? Did you book online, or did you use an app?

No surprises, it was easier than i thought, i booked on line, but them made changes with app, both very friendly.
If you Dont see your prefered times at first, book and them yo can change each fastpass individually for any other time or change atractions

Congratulations JennyMP03 :cheer2:

Now you can enjoy your trip planning. For both trips, lol. All the very best for your new job. How long will you be teaching there for?

Thanks so much! You're always so kind and have been helpful to me in planning characters. It's definitely more fun to plan now that I know we're going for sure!

It's a year-long contract with the option to apply for renewal if you want to stay and continuing teaching.

Went over to the base and picked up our ticket/exchange vouchers. Need to link them in my account.

DS3 has a cold, but that is not dampering his mood. He was running around with his R2D2 mouse ears on and now he is dancing with DD16's Small World doll. Anyone care to sing along? This is the french girl. I wish she said "Ooh La La" but I can do that on my own.

I passed on help and info that many others on here have helped me with at some time or another. It's a great community :)

That's going to be a life experience that will probably play a key role in shaping the way you look at life in the future. :thumbsup2

So on another thread about June crowds somebody pointed out that early June might be lighter than usual, because so many schools had LOTS of snow days to add to the end of their year. We only had 3.5 and are getting out May 30. So I hope early June is better than usual!

I did our online check in. Since we're not going to arrive until maybe 9:30 pm, I thought it would be best to check in online, and reiterate a couple of our requests that we already gave them.

I want to try to change the credit card attached to our Magic Bands- it defaulted to our Disney Visa, but then I remembered that I don't charge anything to the DV after putting the package on it, so I don't mess up the 6 months no interest. Hopefully I can do that. We normally buy Disney gift cards and use those to pay for things in the parks, but a cc on the bands would be convenient. I'll have to see what DH would prefer.

I think our time will fly by until vacation! We had two track meets this week, and four meets on three nights next week (MS and HS). Doesn't give me much time in the evenings for anything else. Plus now we will have to try to catch up on DWTS and Agents of Shield when we miss it (we don't have DVR or anything like that)!

I have to agree. School was originally scheduled to let out on May 30, but is now out on June 6. Our calendar had the make up days marked at the beginning of the year so we knew it could be as late as the 13th and so before the snow and ice fell, we set our vacation dates as the 14th-21st. They almost went all the way, but were able to get approval for adding 9 minutes to each day and cancelling a few other off days.

And we had Spring Break also. Some others were not so fortunate in the nearby counties.

Time is flying, but then it's also slowing down in some ways. :woohoo: Enjoy the trip and all your activities. Good luck at track!

We get out May 30th here in Colorado which is why I booked for May 31st. I hope there are many people who will be going later due to snow days! :)

I posted in this thread before, but my trip has been contingent upon me getting a certain job that would enable to to quit my current job at the end of May and take my Disney trip during the first week of June.

I received word this morning that I GOT THE JOB! :woohoo:

Which means my Disney trip is now definite! I let my little cousin know that we were going for certain and she was so excited! We both are!

WDW in June, and then moving to South Korea in August to teach English. It's going to be quite a summer. :goodvibes

Awesome and congrats! I think Disney is a fitting going away present. :)

it's been a while since I posted here but i am getting so excited for our trip. Only 67 days left to go. ADRs are made. now just waiting for FP+ day. popcorn::

Our schools are getting out June 6th because of snow days, but I had already booked our trip for June 1st. So my kids aren't making up the days, I talked to the teachers and they all said to go for it. That last week is going to be nothing but movies and field days anyway. I'm crossing fingers for lighter crowds too!

Oh, I always wondered how schools had "snow days" thrown in to the middle of year and not have to make it up. I guess they do. :confused3 That would be hard to plan for.

My school is out on May 29th, But DH's school isn't out until mid June so we have to wait until June 18th to go. Drives me crazy that his school goes so late in to the summer! (His school takes a week off in Feb. called Ski Week)
He has one day to pack and then we go! I wish we were going early June.

My parents are renting a big van, bringing two grandkids and a daughter along while the other eight of us will join up with them on June 8th, Sunday and share one of those big 7 bedroom villas with oodles of bathrooms. FAMILY REUNION! We've all got 5-day tickets. Only my husband and kids and I have been to WDW since 1984 and they don't understand how much there is to do!!!! AHHHH! I've gladly taken on the assignment of tour guide so we'll hit the highlights as best as possible.

Also my dad is medically fragile but wants to have a great time and do as much as possible. My plan is to spend all our in-park time together, let the kids do their things but encourage them to hang around the old folks a little bit as well for the things we can do as a group.

Already found out that another family I know will be there at Kidani. Anyone else already know someone else coming to Disney World the same week you are?

Hey guys :) I'm new to this forum, my wife and son and I planned our first trip to wdw, we are from California so we know Disneyland too much and we finally decided to make a trip to wdw after saving enough money !!!
