***Official June, 2012! Hot, hot, hot!!!***

Morning, I went AWOL for the weekend, I ususlly try to do that, the weekend is hubby time, since I don't see him much during the week. Besides we took off and went to Zoo Weekend at the Mongomery, AL Zoo, it was so much fun.

As far as tolls in FL, there are 2 that we go through, one on the Turnpike and it's $2.25 and then one on the Western Beltway that is $1.25. I usually get a roll of quarters just in case and we have a good bit of it left over, unless we go to the exit with the Target and I think it's $0.50.

My hubby says we are going no matter what his boss says, so I guess we will be at WDW in 65 days, it can't get here soon enough.

I guess the DIS just had me paranoid about tolls. I remember reading a post one time where they were talking about how you just couldn't go anywhere on a major road outside the Orlando airport without being a toll road, or maybe it was someone talking at the airport. Honestly, now I can't remember which it was. I was jsut worried that between getting from our house to WDW and WDW to Cocoa Beach, we would run into a lot of toll roads. If it's not going to be much more than that, I have way more than enough in the minivan already. I bought a couple more of the mini-M&M tubes this weekend. Maybe I can use those for the penny presses. Have a tube for the quarters and one for the pennies.

I agree, it can't get here soon enough. I just wish we could have more time at WDW. Hopefully, we'll get to go back in January and do the things we didn't get to this trip.

I haven't noticed any issues.

So like I was saying....yes I did notice issues like you were talking about.:lmao:

I just didn't know I was having them until after I posted this. I know that I made a post on a dinning review asking if the cheese soup at Le Cellier had a strong beer taste to it. I look in my subscriptions to see if she answered and that thread wasn't listed. Then I went and found the thread, and my post didn't show up.

I have no idea about around the airport. We always drive, since we are 6 hours away and I am terrified to fly. Since they opened the back way, we haven't even gone down I-4 to get to WDW. I think there is one toll booth on I-4 and I think it was like $0.50 The Western Beltway as so little traffic and you cna seen WDw in the distance which makes it so exciting. There is a back gate where you can slow down to take pictures of the arch.

Yeah, not sure how much we will get done, but with long park hours and the MK open until 1am on my birthday, we should have no problem at MK. We did get a lot done in January, but I don't like the early park closings. After this trip I don't know when we will go again, possibly next June, we want to take a Disney cruise for my 40th birthday and maybe do a land and sea type package. Just not sure I can wait a year to go back.

My in-laws are moving from Cali to Texas and I think we might have to visit them since they will be so much closer.

When you find out, I 'd love to know, too, since we have a lunch there on our arrival day. I was thinking about getting a bowl of cheese soup and the Chocolate Moose.

Actually two months from today I will be there!

Will do!! If you add the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon in the middle, and that was exactly what I was thinking about ordering when we eat dinner there.

If they can leave the mushrooms off, I would love the Filet Mignon. I had a fabulous Filet Mignon at Yachtsman in January, it melted in my mouth. I haven't looked at the lunch menu since January, so I can't remember what it was I wanted, then we cancelled that reservation for Yachtsman.

Two months from today is the preplanned birthdate of our newest grandchild. Can't wait for her to get here or to go to Disney 3 weeks after her birth - of course without her, but next year whe will be in tow.

Congrats on the new grand...My son made his first trip with me when he was 15 months old...Trip in June for graduation <time flies> will be his 35th...I think. :confused3

She said that it wasn't a strong beer taste, but it does have a strong sharp cheddar cheese taste.

Oh, good, Thne I will give it a try, I love cheese. I would think the beer would cook down, but I have no idea, I have never cooked with beer.

That's what I assumed as well, but then I had my bil's potato soup. The beer taste was so strong that I had to force myself to eat it in order to be polite. Maybe he didn't cook it long enough for the strong beer taste to be out of it. :confused3 I do know that he had added more potatoes to it and some of them were still raw. Maybe he put more beer in it when he added to additional potatoes and then just didn't want to wait for the potatoes to be done and the stong beer flavor to be out.

Possibly. I have made soups and stews with beer before (both pale and dark beers, I have a great Chicken Stew with Guinness!) and they have never had a strong taste. I have also had tomato soup with Gin and the Gin was not strong. When you cook with beer or other alcohol, it should compliment the other flavors... not overtake them!

The only time I have ever cooked with beer is when I have cooked brats in them before putting them on a grill. His soup really just tasted like beer, raw potatoes, a hint of cheese, and some funky sausage.

ok, so I have been thinking about this all morning. There is a very slight possibility the only reason I am is that I am trying to think about anything but the school work I am doing, but that is only a very teenie tiny possibility. :lmao:

This is the first WDW we will be going on that online check in is available. I know you can do it up to 10 days before the trip, but is it really worth doing? Does it make your request more likely to be granted? We will be checking in no later than 10 AM on Monday June 4, so I don't know if the check-in at the Pop Century will be that busy.

I do it and love that my packet and keys are ready when I get there, even when we arrive at 7am, sometimes there's a line and sometimes there isn't. I don't generally make too many requests, but they have been granted the few times I have, maybe because we check in so early.

The only time I know that I got the complete opposite if what I requested was when we rented DVC points, and it was completely opposite of what I requested, but it worked out.

That sounds utterly disgusting. The times that I have ordered something that had beer in it or was dipped in beer, I didn't taste the beer. We ordered the Drunken Chicken at Raglan Rd and I was worried that it would taste like whiskey, but you couldn't taste it at all, it was amazing and got them to send me th recipe, I just haven't tried it at home yet. I love wine cooked in food, you can't really taste the alcohol, but the flavor of the wine is light.

The only request that I really have is to be on the first floor. It won't be pretty if John has to go up and down those stairs without risers. I'm usually not worried about any room requests. Actually, the only time I have made one was on our last WDW trip and we requested a woodsview room at the WL as close to the otter pond on as high of a floor as possible. We didn't get right by the otter pond, but I was ok with our room. We were on the third floor that faces the otter pond, all the way at the end of the hall closest to the dock.

It was!! It was very hard to stay polite and say how great it tasted. We are planning on eating at Ragland Road the night before we check into the Pop Century. I can not wait for the Sheppard's pie and the bread pudding.

Pop has elevators. I don't do stairs unless my life is in jeopardy, I am terrified of stairs, sounds crazy, but I am so afraid I am going to fall down them, I have fallen up stairs and that's bad enough.

I have medical requests because of the instability of my ankle. I also use an ECV until I can get this ankle right. I don't like to admit that, because of all the comments, but I have to use it or I'd have tostay home

We're eating there on my birthday, so I can have the Sheppard's Pie (I haven't found one anywhere that is as good as theirs). They released a new menu today on Facebook and it doesn't look like they have the Drunken Chicken anymore.

oh, I didn't know they had elevators. He is better with elevators than he is with stairs, but he still doesn't like them. I don't like stairs with out risers either. Thank you for saying that about falling up the stairs. I have done that before, and it was on stairs without risers at a motel.

I hope it gets better soon, so you don't have to use it. I know that has to be hard to get all the looks and comments. My DH and I started walking to get in better shape for our WDW trip. When I was explaining to him that yes he was going to do this, he just said that if he got tired he would just rent an ECV. I got so made that I literally slapped him in the forehead. I told him that if he could not get his Pooh sized rear up and walk with mine everyday that he just wouldn't go on the trip. That with our size, even if we did really need one for medical reasons, people would just assume we were just fat and too lazy to walk on our own. To which he thought would be really funny to respond with, "well I am too fat and too lazy to walk on my own", so he got another pop int he forhead. Luckily, he has seen the wisdom in what I was saying and is now walking with me. We had to slow it down some b/c he tripped and hurt his leg. We'll keep doing this after our WDW trip to just get in better shape. My doctor wants me doing 45 minutes of exercise 5 times a week to try and help with my high blood pressure and border line diabetes.

My DH thinks it's odd that I like it since I normally don't like my food touching at all. I don't know if you have a Cheesecake Factory near you, but there's is pretty great. That's what I normally always get there. Well until I decided to try something different and tried their gumbo (plus I was craving gumbo). It was so good, but just WAY too big. We went there last week and I halfed it with our oldest. Well I guess it was more like shared. I took one of the little bread plates and put gumbo on it and then I was full. My mom keeps telling me that with as little as I eat, my bottom should be much smaller than it is.:lmao:

Where is the menu? I have looked for it and can't find it. I would love to look at it. My DH thinks that I've become obsessed with looking at menus.
