I'm so glad that it is so close. I looked it up on a map and it doesn't look far at all. Your birthday is the day that we are leaving WDW. We're having a late lunch at Chef Mickey's and then spending the rest of the day hanging out on Cocoa Beach.
Yes, it is really close. Right now, all that I have planned for my birthday is breakfast at Crystal Palace and dinner at Raglan Rd, whatever happens in between happens, but we are going to close down MK at like 1am. Oh, and I have my birthday shirt I made in 2009 that I am going to wear!
I just keep getting more and more excited about our trip!! I wanted us to spend a night on the way down there at Gulf Shores, AL b/c I went there with my parents as a child several times. I didn't get a ressie in Gulf Shores, but on Orange Beach which is just down from Gulf Shores. I guess it'll have to be close enough. Unless I can find somethin on the beach actually in Gulf Shores. Now, I'm just a little worries about the drive. According to Google maps, it's an 8 hour drive and we'll have the time zone change. I just hope we make it to Orlando in time to check in and get to DTD for our Ragland Road dinner ressie.
Is it 8 hours from Gulf Shores? It has to be more than that. Seems like it anyway. I would allow more than that. And I am nut sure where on I10 the time changes to EST. I know it's at least 1.5 hours from Tallahassee to I75. I know the Western Beltway cuts out a good bit, so that does make a difference. We even go that way to stay at the HI, because I knew getting into Orlando at 5pm we would hit evening rush hour. I don't envy you one bit.
