ok, I just thought about this b/c I was trying to figure out what time to go see my fil in the hospital today. The soap at the hospital is really what made me think of this question. How bad does the soap in the park bathrooms at WDW smell? I'm really picky about the smell of the soap I use when I wash my hands. The soap at the hospital (and my school) both smell so bad that I end up using lotion or my B&BW hand sani after I wash my hands to get the stinky smell off. Will I need to make sure I have some B&BW hand sani with me or lotion when we go to the parks?

That's if we get to go. My fil went to the doctor today and what we thought was a pinched nerve (bulging disk worst case) is a laundry list of things and the worst of them being a cyst looking thing on his spine that may be cancer. He goes to the surgeon tomorrow, but the doctor he saw today didn't think he would be able to run appliance service calls anymore. Actually, they don't want him walking more than a few steps max and told him to stay in a wheelchair. If he can't run calls (and my bil is unwilling to run them on his own), that only leaves my DH. Which I don't know if he can, or they will let him, take time off for a vacation. The fil could be having surgery as soon as this week or next. I swear I feel like Gandalf is standing between us and WDW saying, "You shall not pass."

I totally feel for you on this. My inlaws are 90 and 87. She has alzheimer's, he is just getting more feeble. They had no daughters so they look for me to do most everything. Every year when it gets close to time to go, I pray, cross my fingers, toes eyes, hoping nothing happens to stop us from taking our trip.
So here's some pixie dust hoping everything turns out ok for you and fil , and nothing stands in the way of this much needed vacation!

I mentioned this on the Facebook page, but didn't get much feedback. I know I said I didn't like CBR, but we can up grade for $110 (total) more than Pop for the 3 nights we will be there, just not sure we will like it. We really didn't care for it the time we were there. The reservation is in a preferred location, I'm just worried that we will spend a lot of time waiting for the buses.

I think we mainly hated it because. Were there for such a short time and the love bugs were extremely bad (it was in Sept 2008).

I need some opinions. What would you do?

I know I'm late responding to this but better late than never right!
We have stayed at CBR 2 times and have enjoyed it both times. We chose to stay in preferred location and was not far from bus stops or the food court. Buses were fairly regular except the day we decided to go to Epcot. Only park where we had to wait awhile for bus. But it's really a very pretty place. Hope this helps.

I got mickey head earings, a beauty and the beast Jim Shore statue, and my hubby let me get a BEAUTIFUL Coach travel bag I've been eyeing. I talked him into it since i'll be taking so many vacations, haha!!

All the talks of luggage tags got me thinking of my wonderful bag!

Congrats on the MM. I was hoping Disney would make some magic and I would get mine on my birthday, but it just didn't happen. Oh well, now I guess I have something to look forward to! Any day now it should arrive. I'm getting a bit nervous since I haven't got it yet, but I have found that living on post (Fort Meade, specificly) mail tends to get here a few days later than everywhere else....

Normally I would have Mickey mail by now, but I'm using a TA this time. Anyone know when I can expect to get mine?? Her email a while back said if I didn't have it by 2 weeks out to call, but that seems like it's cutting it close!

We too still havent gotten our mickey mail . If it doesnt come today then Im calling ME myself to have them resend the tags, then I'll let Disney know it must have gotten lost in the mail. They said on Tuesday that it had already been mailed, surely it wouldnt take more than a week. Ive gotten ebay items from overseas faster than this!

Thank you for the pixie dust as we really really need this vacation. Your right, it can be hard. Then I have my own mother complaining about how much I do for the in laws and how much I don't do for them. I'm not an only child, so it's not like they can't get anyone else to help them. My fil is actually in the hospital right now. He had spinal surgery on Thursday and will more than likely not be home until Monday (at the very earliest). It's not the surgery they are keeping him so long for. Normally he would be out by now. With the fil having diabetes, acid reflux disease, and just having blood clots go to both lungs in January they are keeping an eye on him longer. The mil's mom has inoperable lung cancer and could go any day. I'm just worried something will happen while we are gone, as my mil said we would not make it home by the time of the funeral in West Texas.

I wonder why the CM on Tuesday didnt tell me they were mailed back then, she made it seem like it was just a couple days before. She said oh you should receive them this week! Oh well, I just want to make sure we have everything before we leave...they told me otherwise to make my own ME tags lol!

We'll be staying off-site (for the first time since our first trip - got a ridiculous deal by booking flight/car/hotel with Allegiant), from 6/8-6/11.

So excited - can't believe it's less than three weeks away!

I haven't gotten my MM package yet either. We leave on June 21st and I usually get them 45 days out. Plus I ordered extra ME tags that I hope come in the same package.

I was at AAA yesterday and was told over the last few weeks or so they are having a very hard time getting final documents, etc from Disney. One of their agents was very aggravated and on the phone with Disney trying to figure out what to do for a family that was leaving this week and still hadn't gotten their stuff.

I bought my first one during our July trip in 2010. I got my second one this past November. Then Disney Store online had a sale after Christmas 25% off with free shipping and now I have 3 Dooney Bourke bags

Thank you. He's been in a lot of pain and they put him on some strong pain meds. This morning he kept not breathing and turnin blue and grey so much that they finally put him in ICU.
