Counting down on one hand now! 5 days!

In other news...I worked on my Oct '08 scrapbook last night during Food Network Challenge, Next Food Network Star, and Chopped. I was able to get the 2 pages I'd skipped before finished, add a couple of things to other pages, and complete 6 other pages. What does that translate to? For a Sunday - Saturday trip...I've finished through Monday! I've got one more page protector left in my scrapbook!

I also gathered up all the artwork my DD has done at daycare/preschool and mounted it onto pages...now to find just the right scrapbook to put it in...And I suppose I need to do one for school, since she starts Kindergarten this year, right?

I think I can keep myself busy enough this week that it'll be Saturday before I know it!

Old Navy Flippy Floppies are the only ones I buy
It's good to wear them AFTER they are broken in real good though. I have a high arch and I make sure to bring my most broken-in flip flops that I own. I don't like the other flip flops because I have wide feet and I will get blisters on the sides. The Old Navy ones are wide, open, and very comfortable. I can walk allllll day long without any problems when wearing them.

Gotta love the Old Navy flip flops (I've worn them for years and now I get them even cheaper with my employee discount!). I have about 11 pairs of them and most likely, half of them will be coming with me!

Does anyone want to do the SINGLE DIGIT DANCE with me?

Maybe I can wear my flip flops the first day since it will be AK and will not be a whole day type thing and see how that goes. If not, have any of you just taken gym shoes in your backpack just in case? or that to much stuff to carry?

I REALLY love my flip flops but do not want to be the one holding us back.

I think flip-flops are a good choice for AK, especially since it's hotter there. You probably don't want to get your tennis shoes wet on Kali River Rapids, because they will stay wet!

3 days and a wake up If I say it that way it sounds shorter. We leave Friday to stay overnight near the airport. Fly out Saturday morning.

I have decided how I plan to tell the girls. I got them new disney crocs and I will put a note in each pair.. I plan to roll it so when they unscroll and read it, it will sound like CInderella requests their prescence at Disney. I plan to give this to them the morning we fly since I know if I told them the night before no one would get any sleep.


I have a number of things to do before we leave and I am trying like mad to get all of my work done now so I can come back and relax. Sometimes I need a vacation after Disney.

We surprised our DD back in January and it was so much fun! We told her the morning we left as well. You're exactly right with not telling the night before....no sleeping! I just love surprise trips!!!

We just got back Saturday evening, if anyone has questions I will be happy to supply my answer. And no to scare you, but it was hot, crowded, and did I mention hot as h*ll hot. The buses were a nightmare. I have seen crowds worse than this, it just wasn't the smaller crowds of the past 2 Junes.

My AAA TA called me this morning to ask me if I had trouble with the buses as another one of her clients called her about their issue and I told her how bad it was. We were at POFQ, BTW.

Do you think the crowds will be a little smaller now that Star Wars Weekends are over? I'm getting a little paranoid. I usually go the first part of December or fall.

Be prepared for it to be hot and crowded. If it's not, then it will be a surprise and you won't be disappointed when it is. Remember, you will be in Disney World and a crowded wdw is better than none at all!!!! Use the FP system, early mornings, and EMH. You will be ok
