Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

I hope you are all feeling better soon! My son has been battling his allergies and they are making him miserable. I hope when we get to Florida the change of climate helps him! I'm not feeling very Disney happy this week...work and health issues with my ds. He has a birthmark on his head that is showing signs of change. I've made an appointment with his dermatologist tomorrow. I just hope he doesn't want to biopsy it and that this is nothing.

My son (now 21) was also born with a birthmark on the top of his head, it was about 1/2" in diameter and looked like reddish shiny skin and the circumference looked like a ring of dry bumps. We would try to keep it covered in the sun, etc. When he was about 16 or 17 it changed in appearance and we went to my dermatologist who said it was actually some type of wart thing (I can't remember exactly what she said). She sent us to the local ENT to have it removed and they did it in the office.

Lucky you! We are driving....yuck.....but the good thing is we are doing it over the course of 2 days so it will only be about 4 hours per day. We will be checking into CSR on Sunday....we will see you there!!

Where will you stopping to stay? We are just South of Atlanta but drive all the way, it is only about 6 to maybe 7 hours if we stop alot. We leave out Friday night about midnight, Dh has decided he wants to drive all night and miss the I-75 traffic, but I know he just wants to get there sooner

We have decided we will head over to Daytona on June 13 and drive up I-95 to St Augustine and Jacksonville then back to I-75 to go home, since I haven't been to the coast in a long time and we don't have to rush home.

Flying...I don't love it, but I LOVE being there in a few hours with minimal fighting from the dcs. When I was little, we always drove from Chicago to FL, every Nov., in the station wagon and later the van. Good times...kinda!
So, I had DS atthe Dr. today. He had a headache yesterday and said his ear hurt today. Turns out it was swimmer's ear, so we have a prescription and the dr. said to be sure to take it to WDW. Also, our Dr. is a Disfreak...he had on a Mickey tie!

Oh, and there is a Travel Channel Disney show marathon in progress right now! I have three days to kill since we are all packed and ready right NOW! The wait is going to drive me nuts!

We just packed tonight and have a few more things to throw in, other than that we are ready to go!

I got out all of the otc medications (that you bring and hope you never need to use!) and toiletries. Then made my (hopefully) last trip to Wal-Mart to pick up something for the trip.

Maybe today I'll bring up the suitcases! It'll really start to feel close then.
