June 6-11 AKV-Jambo!

We are leaving June 5 and driving to Detroit to spend the night near the airport. We were going to have a 6:30pm flight on June 6 but we were able to move it to an 11:30am flight! 6 more hours of Disney!

So, "officially", it is 15 more days, but in my mind, vacation starts in 13 days, 15 hours and 18 minutes! (But who's counting)

Exactly 4 weeks left! Our documents are in...I wonder if I can start packing this weekend....? Definitely going to go shopping today for some of the things I need...

3 days of school left (although the kids get out at 12:30 on Thursday.)

Ok so I'm getting scared. Many that I have told that we are going next month say things like "stay dry" and that I should have picked a different month. Apparently "everyone" knows that June is the -rain every single day and not have a dry vacation- month in Orlando.

People, tell me that there is hope!

This will be our third June trip and yes it will rain most afternoons for a very short time. Then the skis clear, the air is cool and the night are perfect. One thing though - after heading back to the resort several times to swim only to have the storms roll in - my son says - why dont we swim in the morning? This year we plan to start our day with some pool time a few days. Don't worry it will be fine.

Hey, I was just going to type this....

Seriously though. I was, LOL. Just to reiterate, the words above are so true. This is summer in Orlando\Florida. It's going to rain daily, for short periods, then clear up, and sometimes clear out the parks, and generally become gorgeous in the evenings! It's not a big deal, and certainly nothing to worry about.

Just go, have a good time, and hope the rains chase folks out of the parks while you lie in wait for the ride que to shorten.
