Official JUNE 2009 Thread!!!

We're under 80 days now and super excited!!! :yay:

All I'm worrying about now is crowd levels and weather.

I'll be down this weekend, anything I can pick up for anyone to get them through the last few weeks?

Hehe, I'm starting to worry about this too. We are going to be in WDW June 16th through the 24th. VERY excited as we are past the 90 day mark, ADR's made etc. etc.

The problem is, I'm SO worried about the crowds. This will be our first June trip, due to daughter being in school now, and we have always had the pleasure of traveling in the April\May time frame and faced minimal crowds.

Ah well, we'll be in Walt Disney World for 9 days. How bad can it be! :goodvibes

Anybody want to give up the "Hidden Mickey" in each ride? I'll have to tell my kids about that when we get there.

Heading down June 5-13....can't wait.
We were lucky enough to book the Treehouse villas. Should be one of the 1st to occupy these very cool looking houses!

Have not been since 2005
Looking forward to:
Toy Story Mania
Expedition Everest
Finding Nemo Musical
Kim Posible Missions
American Idol Experience

Lots of 1sts for us:)

:cool1: I just booked the Sunset Safari at AKL for me and DH!:cool1:

I was shocked when the itinerary planner said that they still had openings for June! Since we are over a week inside the 90-day booking window and there are only 12 seats available each night, I was sure that we'd be shut out. I had not seriously considered going because of the expense. But, it will be DH's first trip to the AKV and we could only book a value room, so I wanted to do something to really "wow" him. This is going to be our early anniversary gift. (Our anniversary is in September and we both are stuck working:headache:) We are going to do the safari and dinner on the last night of our trip. The kids will get their first experience with Kids Nite Out. I wanted to let them go to Simba's Clubhouse, but the youngest will only be 3 and the minimum age is 4:sad2:. Oh well, they will have fun anyways.

Now, I am double-happy!:cheer2: I get to take an awesome safari AND I get to eat at Jiko!:dance3:

We're going to be staying at Pop Century from June 3rd-10th. My mother, sister (18) and I (22) LOVE Disney world but haven't been there in about 4 years! :dance3: We'll be celebrating my sister's 19th Birthday on June 8th. We actually planned the vacation as a suprise for her and just told her about it last weekend. She's veryyyyyy excited! In the past we've stayed at the Beach Club (our absolute favoriate), Yacht Club, Contemporary, All-Star Music, Port Orleans, and Key West. We decided to stay at Pop Century this time mostly because of the price. However, we like that it's new and we think any resort at WDW has to be awesome!

We're doing the DDP this time for the first time and we hope it works out. We have all of our ADRs, except we couldn't get into the Mexican Restaurant in Epcot even though I called more that 90 days in advance! Boo! (it's one of favoriates).

Here's our plan:
June 3rd: MGM, 50's Prime Time
June 4th: Epcot, France for lunch, Coral Reef for Dinnre
June 5th: MK, Chef Mickey's for Breakfast, Crystal Palace for Dinner
June 6th: AK, Yak and Yeti for lunch, Ohana Luau for Dinner
June 7th: Epcot, Japan for lunch, Marakeesh for Dinner
June 8th (B-day!): LibertyInn Tavern for Dinner (our favoriate spot!)

Obviously, right now we have more than 7 sit down restaurants planned, so we need to narrow our list a little bit.

We also got the Water Park Fun & More tickets...don't know when exactly we'll have time to go there though!

Anyways, we're just super excited and I wanted to share our plan too! If any one has suggestions on restaurants to cut out, let me know!

Have fun with all of your planning!! :wizard:

I'm a bit concerned too. We've never been in June either.

MAKHayes-DisneyDiva & rotlex,

This will be our third trip to the World in June. For our first two trips it was crowded but very manageable. Just use the Fastpass system and try to take advantage of early extra magic hours and you will be just fine! :thumbsup2

This will be my Third Time going in June and the crowds are there but they are not too bad. This year all the numbers for the crowds look a lot better than last Year the biggest wait we had last year was the Aerosmith Coaster and it was a little over a Hour. We got on Expedition Everest in 20 Minutes.

How is the temperature in June? Last year we went in the middle of July and it was a scorcher. A little too hot for us so we are hoping June will be a little more tolerable.:goodvibes

June is still HOT HOT HOT, but we have gone in June and July and it just seems more bearable in June, like there is a breeze or something. :confused3

Count us in for all the fun!! I just booked yesterday. We were just there this past September and hadn't planned on going back......BUT I had that 40% resort PIN code and it was burning a hole in my Vera Bradley purse!! :lmao:

We'll be there May 31 - June 6, staying at POR.;) (Got a little secret about that, but can't tell as my DD might see this post! It's a little suprise for my kids.)
