Disney World Newbie here, and I'm taking my wife and six year old daughter to DW on June 4th to June 11th. The wife and I are both born on the same day (June 9th) and so we're taking advantage of the free admission special. It is also Donald Duck's birthday as well, and he happens to be my favorite Disney character so I am very stoked to go to DW on that day. Plane tickets are all paid for, and we're staying with an aunt who lives close by. I'm still trying to figure out the admission ticket processes, park hopper passes, fastpasses, and such. I've been directed by some of you DISers to some websites, so I'll be doing some heavy reading and determining the best way to plan for this trip. I do have a couple of questions:

Anyone know if DW is planning any type of celebration for Donald Duck? Surely they wouldn't leave the duck out on his 75th b-day.

I would love to see Scrooge McDuck when I visit DW. Is there a character schedule that I can look at for appearances?

Congrats on booking your trip!! They probably aren't planning anything huge for Donald Duck's Birthday.

You can pick up a times guide on your way into the park it lists some character greeting times on the back. But, I'm not sure if Scrooge McDuck makes appearences anymore.

The only time I have seen Scrooge McDuck is at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

Booked back in December, but just found this thread. My Wife, daughter, son and I will be heading down for another visit to DW this June!

Dates are the 16th through the 24th. Staying at Coronado Springs for the first time! Can't wait!

We are at the 134 day mark.
And I love to see everyone else's count downs!

we are staying at BWV..... rented points from DVC... so VERY EXCITED!!!

We just booked our trip also. We will be in Orlando June 5th - 12th. While, this is my 5th trip we've always stayed with family in the past. Staying onsite, June 9th-12th. The rest of the time staying closer to the family. Woo Hoo!! Can't wait!

Where are you staying onsite? We are at the 115 day mark. I can't wait to hit the 90 day mark to make ADR's as I keep changing my mind on where to go.

Anyone going in June who will be on the lookout for other DIS folks? We tried a couple of years ago to do the limegreen thing (LGMH's on our hats and packs, sometimes a LG shirt) -- but never got any waves or indications of other DIS'ers. Limegreen was popular that year anyway for non-DIS'ers.

Looks like a pretty long list for June in first post.

We'll be there the first week in June (starting the 4th). Our nod to the DIS is our lime green mono-strap back pack. So if you see us, we'd be glad to acknowledge you!

We are staying June 13-20th at All Star Sports. Can't wait to make ADRs, never done it before. First time with Dining Plan. I know I want to do SciFi Drive In & Coral Reef. What do you suggest for Characters? We've done Crystal Palace & 1900 place w/ Mad Hatter. What is the lime green thing? We've been married 12 years & have gone once or twice a year, even before we had kids!! My husband has probably gone once a year since he was 10! I can't believe I'm just finding this site! Thanks!

June 13-20. Board Walk Inn. Great day today. We payed off our vacation package. Airline tickets are bought. We are ready to go to Disney World!
