Its been really hard....our DS have only been once, 9 years ago so DH and I wanted to do something special this summer since older DS heads to HS in the fall.
Younger DS gets out of school at 10 am on the last day, which is also our anniversary. We drive right past the airport to drop the boys off at Grandma's, where they think they are going while DH and I go away for a long weekend for our anniv.
Soo....it will be "normal" for all four of us to be packing up the week before. Just some of their clothes will be "in the laundry" (secretly packed in our big suitcase) and we will tell them about one exit on the highway before we pull into the airport.
I cannot wait...I think I am almost MORE excited about the moment of telling them
....nah, I'm going to Disney World for a whole week with my family!!!!!![]()
I need a little reassuring. To put it briefly, I promised DH this trip would be relatively relaxed because we just went in January. However, when I posted a thread about whether it is possible to do the pool and then tour the parks in the evening, I pretty much got laughed off the boards! Is it really that busy? Was I crazy for making June reservations? I knew it would be crowded but now I'm beginning to doubt myself...
I can't stand it! We are surprising the kids, and it's KILLING me!
I booked in February, and I don't think I am going to make it! ARGH!!
23 days..
Our plan is to hit the parks early and stay until noon-ish or so, then we'll hit the pool until dinner time and then back to the parks, is that feasible for you & your DH ?
We're headed down June 21st to the 28th and staying at the Grand Floridian!
The ADR's are all booked and I just made the last payment last week!
I like the idea of hitting the parks in the morning then chillin by the pool in the afternoon before heading to dinner. It sounds much more relaxing than making everything a mad scramble. It is a vacation afterall!
In 20 days I will be waiting to see Fantasmic at this very minute!
