I keep thinking about the first thing that we are going to do when we get to Disney. Can't wait to to head to Magic Kingdom. My daughter wants to go straight for Fantasyland to check out the Little Mermaid ride and then of course, we need to go on Space Mountain. My DD is finally tall enough and we can't wait to take her for her first ride!

*~*~What will everyone be doing first? *~*~

The first day we will be enjoying the resort ~ swimming then the HS the next day!!

We get in mid afternoon. Usually we take the first evening to get settled and explore the resort. I decided to add a day of tickets and head to DHS. I know most people wouldn't pick this as their "1st night park" but we've never made it for Fantasmic so I thought this would be a great way to start our trip. We'll have another day at HS but this night has one goal...see Fantasmic! With that in mind...what time should we get in line to get a seat? I've read anywhere from an hour+ to just before show time. Don't really want to do standing room only. Hoping to make the 9:00 show rather than wait for the 10:30 one. Thanks for any suggestions!

When we see Fantasmic we use start sitting down at 8pm we take that time to eat any snacks that we have or just buy a dinner and it it there!! While we are waiting

Same here! It is going to get up to 120 degrees this weekend. Orlando has to be better than that, right?

Frumpy Morning ! We want leave until Wednesday now my husband is a dealer and he needs me to accompany him Tuesday to buy some cars in Alabama. So we want be able to depart till Wednesday but hey at least we still going to Disney

Anjalee~ I noticed my arrival says July 2 but we are really arriving June 30!!!!
We switched from flying to driving a while ago and forgot to change it. Sorry!!!
I can't believe we will be on the road tomorrow at this time!

Indio, CA. They actually said it could get up to 130. Heat wave. Typical summer for us is 110-115, but the winters are amazing!!!

Ok great!! How and where did you get that?

Someone posted a link to a picture of the lime green mickey head in the thread a few pages pack, in the 90s i think? I took the picture and opened it in paint to add the words. After I printed it I used clear tape on both sides to get the laminated look. Hope this helps.

On arrival day we will pick up some groceries and have dinner off site. FIRST DISNEY day will be the very next morning rope drop at HS.

I'm so excited I can't sleep. My dh was so concerned this morning. He sat down next to me and asked when the last time I slept through the night was I said, "Ummm someone has to plan this vacation"
but seriously I need to sleep past 4-5 am in the next few days or I will be a zombie by the time we arrive

13 days until we arrive at POR! Can't believe in 2 weeks we will be getting married in Disney So excited, I can barely sleep anymore!

Eat lunch off-site, get groceries, and hopefully check in around noon.
Hoop Dee Doo Review at 4, then take the boat to Magic Kingdom to catch the Main Street Electrical Parade, and I believe the 7th is the last night for special Independence Day fireworks.
Probably throw in a trip down a mountain or two.

Does anyone have a favorite place to catch the parade? Last year, we caught it as it ended in Frontierland right next to Splash Mountain. It was a pretty good spot, but we are always looking to get a different point of view.

We are planning to watch it near the exit/train station on Main Street this time because we are planning to leave after it goes by and that it the start of the parade. We want to get back to the poly to watch wishes from the beach if possible!

Also can't wait to get to AKL... We have to meet up, my 2 - 13 yr old Girls would love to hang out with your kids.

My DD (Midori) has been on the Dis board with a 12 / 13 yr old girl who is also staying at Kadani the same time. Wouldn't it be a coincidence if the girl is your 12 yr old? I will look at your PM to see if you shared with me your groups individual names.

NO!!! - I just looked at your PM message. The Girl DD has been talking to is named A* * * *. She and her family is also from your area (Northeast). Her family is checking in on the 13th and leaving on the 20th Kadani Village.

But my two little ones- are 7 and 4 and they are definitely coming. It's their 2nd time- we went 2 years ago. And it's still a surprise!!
