~~*Official July 2013 Thread!*~~Our Month has Arrived!

I need to share something b/c I am super excited!!

My DH was in FL last week for an interview for a new job. It's kinda a long story and I don't want to bore anyone. We were going to probably have to move but after

discussing what an awful impact that would be on our boys we decided it wouldn't be a good idea.

So they offered a commuting option. Meaning he would work 2 weeks a month there then home 2 wks. from home. I know it sounds CRAZY commuting back and forth from MA to FL!!!!!

But he so wants this job. He said the interview went great and the people are fantastic. His boss is his old boss from up here. He has been prepping him about this for about a year.

So we will be buying a condo down there. So even if things don't work out with the job, we'll have a vacation home! My boys are just excited that we're not moving. But the youngest DS is so excited about being able to go more often. We'll have APs!!!! Yay!! :)

I'm looking into going down to look at places for a few days during Feb. vacation. (not many options since I'm a teacher)

DH did look at a few while he was there so he knows the ones he'd like me to see.

Has anybody ever experienced anything like this?? Even though I am excited I am extremely nervous as well.

Sorry this was so long

No pin codes here!!! :sad2: I've called a few times and when I talk to the agent they aways say OH!! wait a second ....... I get my hopes up and they come back and say "No not right now, but be sure to check back from time to time". WOW!! I get my hope up!!! But I will hang in there as always...:lmao:

Thanks! I called again yesterday and got nothing the agent said there will hopefully be one soon crossing my fingers!

Well after switching everything, the cub scouts sent out their tentative camp schedule and of course, the camp week is tentatively scheduled for the week we just changed to!!! My DS really wants to go to camp so we might be in the same boat again! Don't know what to do. We will have to see, I guess. I am so frustrated. I thought we had it all worked out.

WOW!! - I am so sorry for the challenge. We need to get some PIXIE Dust sent your way.

Hi there! This year I believe July is out as I really want to attend a work conference that I will have to pay for out of pocket since I have not been with the company for a year yet.. But it is something that I believe is highly useful and education for success. It is being held in New Orleans and with that expense we won't be able to go this July. I really hope our paths cross some time would love to meet both your family as well as Annjalee's family! I am going to miss being a full participant on this board as it has been the most interactive one I have participated in yet!

That's right - I forgot about the New Orleans Convention. Your right about July 2012 thread being a busy one. We'll cross paths again in the future.....:thumbsup2

Thank you! I am hoping it's a positive experience. It was definately something we couldn't pass up since we have known for a while that when the kids are done with H.S. the plan was to relocate there anyway.

I know it will take some adjusting to but I do have a good support system that said they'd help out.

So we just decided he will have to miss boy scout camp this year and do another camp instead that he really wants to do. And after all, he is having his birthday in Disney this year so how upset can he possibly be, right? We even let him pick the park that we are going to on his birthday.

So on to planning. I can make ADRs in 10 days.

We have all our ADRs for July 2-13 confirmed and on the I phone app some reservations I didn't make and conflict with others are showing as confirmed. Actually have two reservations for the same day/time at the same TS restaurant. Don't know how that happened. I will cancel the extra, conflicting reservations, but I still wonder how they were made.
Also made our La Nouba reservations a few days ago and see they have added a new section in the front and center called "The Golden Circle" at a slightly higher cost but it appears these would be the very best seats? Anyone know anything about this?
The week of July 1-7, WDW has announced the Short Time Magic to be "Red, White and Blue" No surprises there..... I hope some Long Lost Friends might show up in special costumes that week?

As everyone starts booking ADRs, I would be happy to start posting them.

The only ADR I have at this point is Rose & Crown on the 4th.

This trip will not be ADR heavy I think I'll only make 1 more.

We went to La Nouba last July. We paid for the middle price range, and got excellent seats! The theater is smaller than I expected and I would say there is not a bad seat in the house.

We are hoping to get a picture with Mickey and Minnie in colonial costume during our July 2-13 trip. Anyone know if/where they might appear for a meet and greet? Our thoughts are that they should be at Epcot at the American Pavilion, but we are planning to go to HS on the 4th and wonder if they show up there at all. I read that the week of July 1-8, the Magic is going to be "Red, White and Blue" so maybe characters will show up that week dressed patriotically. All of our previous 5 trips to WDW have been in December with lots of extra holiday magic. Anyone who has been in July have any suggestions for special July 4th activities. Our plans our to watch the fireworks on July 3rd at MK from Narcoosee's and on the 4th be at HS for fireworks. We are not real big fans of Epcot's Illuminations but assume it would also be special on the 4th?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I know for sure that Mickey and Minnie meet on July 4th outside of the American Pavillion in Epcot. Not sure at all about HS, but I would guess that with the announcement of lots of red, white, and blue other characters or spots for characters will be available. Sorry I am not more help. We have only been over 4th of July once.

ADRs for our trip July 7-14 at BLT.

7-7 Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue
7-10 Chef Mickey Breakfast
7-11 Akershus Breakfast
7-11 Chefs de France Lunch
7-12 Mama Melrose's Dinner
7-13 San Angel Inn Dinner ( no kids)
7-14 'Ohana Breakfast

Hoop Dee Doo and Chefs de France are new. We've done the others, but, with little ones, they are our favorites. My wife and I ate at San Angel late year and loved it. We are going with friends this year, and they are dying to try it. The Carne Asada was amazing.
We ended with breakfast at 'Ohana last year and are doing it again. It was lots if fun.

I listed all the ADRs. :thumbsup2 I agree. The Carne Asada was very good. I had it for the first time last summer when we went. We enjoyed our meal, but the kids were disappointed so we are skipping it this year.

The only ADR I have at this point is Rose & Crown on the 4th.

I added this to our ADR list, but didn't know if it was lunch or dinner.

Anjalee - Still thinking about taking over the thread.

Plans look great Bob. I added your ADRs so far. :thumbsup2 I really want to try BOG, but my DD wants to see the princesses so it's back to CRT for us. That's okay. I want to do something she will enjoy too. Maybe BOG next time. I can't wait to hear about your experience. We loved Blizzard Beach last year. The kids had a blast, but with a shorter trip this year, we had to skip the water parks. The pool will have to be sufficient this time around.

Our July Resort lists and ADR lists are all updated on the first page. If anyone else wants me to add anything, just let me know.

Anjalee - All I have to do now is pack. Ha! Ha! - Midori and Lucy her school friend are so ready.....

OK - me too....
