We are back and had a wonderful time. It was awesome to be able to say "we will be back in 3 months!!" That helped make leaving a little less painful. The crowds were not too bad - not as bad as spring break 09. I had a Dis meet with Mindy from the July 09 board - that was fun - we were at DHS the same day. The first few days it was chilly in the evenings, I kept reminding myself that I will be warm in July! Sunday afternoon was a complete rain out..... worse than a July storm because it did not stop until Monday around noon....but later in the week it was sunny and hot! I cannot wait to go back!

Thanks Nikki - I have missed being on the boards! Rain is less of an issue when you are going back so soon. We made Monday a "sleep in" day and that worked well. We got up extra early the next few mornings to beat the crowds.

Wendy, Welcome home! Did those days go by super quickly for you? I am glad you were able to say goodbye knowing it won't be long before you are back!

Please get your kids some gum to prepare for the PSSA...and maybe some reading material in case they finish the sections early for the day.

You are right about this being the best time! I sometimes think I enjoy the planning and the anticipation almost more than the trip itself!

I enjoy the planning so much too!

It's the same thing with my job (and DH)...we're both teachers. Of course, we love our summers off. But the middle of June is the best time, when we have just days left to the school year, and the whole summer to look forward to!

I can totally understand that - just with my kids! DD is in high school band, so her summer is short with band camp starting the beginning of August.

I'm new to the board but not new to Disney. I started going to Disney as an infant and went all the time and now as an adult, I am so thrilled to be able to take my own kids. My kids are young, but they already have experienced the Disney magic and love it. Last year, we went TWICE in one summer. We just got the bug and had to go. We went in July and August. Being teachers, we don't really have to many other options other than summer time to go. We are going July 19- 28 this year. We are so excited to be going for 10 days. I can't wait. I made all my ADRS back in January (the first day it was 180+ 10). I couldn't wait for any of it. I love the planning too. It's so addicting. I feel like an addict around Disney time. I just always hope that my plan works out for the best. So hello fellow July Disney goers!

Thanks Debby! The week did go quickly! But, it was nice knowing we would be back soon. We did get to do a few fun new things - we rode the new Tron Monorail a few times, did the Disney Animation art lesson - that was so fun and we will do it again, and the kids got to ride the refurbished Space Mountain.

Ok - gum - does that help them concentrate? Unfortunately, our middle school has banned gum - but they can have it at high school. They both have their independent reading books to read.

Sorry. I realized I forgot to write where we are staying. We are returning to the Wilderness Lodge. We love it there. This year we are trying out the villas since grandmom is going with us. I hope it's a nice as the loge itself. We have so many ADRs since we are doing the DDP I don't know where to start.

Not a problem - I have fixed it on page 67 - I love WL too! We have not stayed there in awhile though. We have been resort hopping! But, that was the first resort we ever stayed at and it will always be special.
