AKL is all paid off! Airfare has been done! Now I just need the itty-bitty stuff like rental car (since we will have to do some off site visits and food stuff) and car seat arrangements

No ADR's though DH is still in for "winging it" and it's just painful to watch him live in fantasyland thinking they're not needed I contemplated just booking some but if we don't stick to park plans that day, I'd be hogging up the times that other people WILL actually want and be there for.

I would make some ADRs in resorts--one or two as back-ups at least. You can always cancel if you decide not to go.

Anyone found good car rental deals? I haven't even looked. We're thinking of taking the kids for a beach day, maybe to Kennedy Space Center--one of our days. I'm just thinking car rental prices will be.

I'm a non-ADR maker, too - but, we are not afraid to eat hot dogs and turkey legs all week! Plus, we will have a kitchen so we can always fix something ourselves if we get sick of park food.
Just think of it as an adventure!!

Good morning everyone! I'm glad to hear everyone is exciting for warm(er) weather this weekend, singing birds, and paying off trips!
I've never paid more than the deposit towards my trip because we get room-only but I'm thinking we might do that just to have a little less due at check-in.

My laptop is "broken" and it currently being held hostage by the tech department in my district. I mean, I really can't complain...they GIVE me a laptop at no cost to me and fix it for me if there are any problems. I just feel so lost without it! And DH is usually on our home computer so we have to take turns!

No new ADRs from anyone?!

We rented a car a few years ago - what I found out was that renting a car on property is much more expensive than renting from the airport. But, if you are going to rent for only a day - it might not be so bad. There are several rental places on property - the Car Care Center, the Swan/Dolphin, and some at the Downtown Disney hotels. If you have AAA or an Annual Pass - those are sometimes good for discounts. I ended up signing up with Alamo - and then they kept emailing me specials. They were located in the Dolphin (I think). Check on the transportation board - they sometimes post about deals too.

I go nuts without my computer so I can sympathize. When we lost power during one of the winter storms it took an extra day to get the internet back. I think I would have rather not had the TV, than than to lose my computer! Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

We do room only too. But, I know what you mean - you get hit with the monster bill at checkin. We did a package last year during spring break and it was nice having it paid off in advance.

Went out to dinner tonight with our neighbors who go with us every summer. Only 118 more days! The mom and son just got back from a 10 day trip from Disney and they got me a candy apple that looked like a Mickey. Key word LOOKED It was delicious

Unfortunately, it was in a New Jersey mall but still....it was like a little piece of Disney in my own backyard! It definitely put me in the Disney mood...as if I'm not enough already!
