We still havnt gotten our disney mail
I guess we paid too late...

No, I really think it's because you didn't get a package. We never get Mickey Mail when we book room only reservations.

Started preliminary shopping for the trip, went a lil crazy at the store and bought 5 or 6 shirts without trying anything on.....AKA not a smart move....we are finishing up with our shopping tomorrow night, now I just need to go back to the store and exchange for smaller sizes in some, and larger in others....I'm busty so clothes tend to fit me weird....VERY frustrating.....the good news though is that we are only 13 days away from our reservations.... 10 days away from the wedding

Here's to hoping I get it all done.....To those of you leaving in a couple of days...Have a blast and we wanna see pictures!

I started my shopping too!! Well, the clothes shopping I've been doing for the past year. I rarely buy clothes but it seems when a Disney trip is coming up, I buy with the trip in mind!! I still need to buy shorts because I never wear them and all my shorts from two years ago don't fit me anymore since I lost 15 pounds (woo hoo! ). Last week, I bought all my toiletries and things like that. I have two bags in the corner of my living room...one with wedding stuff and one with disney stuff!!

How's your wedding planning coming along?? I feel like I have something to do every day! So busy! We went to the tux place last night, met with the DJ tonight and I have my dress fitting tomorrow. 17 days until the wedding! 18 until WDW/DCL!!!


If I missed anyone's ADRs or pictures, please let me know! This thread is moving FAST lately!!

I am stressing right along with you if it makes it any better. And I still have longer to go than you do! I decided yesterday that it would somehow be a good idea to start the search for the "perfect" park bag all over again. Keep in mind that I have already done this and purchased "the bag" months ago. But noooo, I wake up yesterday and the first thought that pops into my mind is that bag and all the reasons it won't work and I shouldn't have bought it. So here I am 16 days out and looking for a bag to carry into the parks. DH is really losing his patience at this point. Of course that didn't stop me from shopping today.

The only solution is to bring several park bags! I have several park bags depending on weather, what I'm gonna do etc. I have a tote style bag with a mickey wearing sequined shorts. That zips across the top and is water resistant, I also have a smaller version with little mickey's printed all over it. I have an LLBean backpack with a single wide strap that goes across the chest. I also have a mini boat bag. Whichever one I choose will depend on the day... oh .. and I have a straw clutch so when we go to dinner, I don't have to carry a big bag.

In 1/2 an hour I'll be at single digits!!

Never fails. I get super excited for something, then when it's almost here I think of everything that can go wrong and decide that it all will.....I bit DH's head off last night because he wouldn't answer a few really important questions like ride order and transportation to ADRs. Yeah, I know.

I think I am actually stressing b/c I have the fireworks cruise and the Mickey's Welcome set up in room on the first night as surprises, and I have to 1. Make sure we are at Poly beach at 9:00, 2. make sure we're not in the room from 6-8, 3. Try to keep the girls from falling asleep on the way back to Pop so they won't miss their big surprise..... Hopefully after the first night happens, I'll take a breather and enjoy!

I found this thread, if you click on the gallery it will have a picture of the dessert. They are going to write my girls names on the plate in chocolate around it. With tax it was right at $16, they link it to your ADR, and it will be on your bill there. If you have DDP, you'll just pay for that at the end of the meal. I called the hotline yesterday to set it up.

Flipflopmom remember that it will all work out in the end. If the kids fall asleep and don't get the welcome surprise that night it will be a great way to start the next morning which is really your first full day! Okay, I had my first crazy disney dream last night. I always have them before I leave on vacation. This one involved the dumbo ride, my one year old, not being strapped inn, and dumbo going way too fast! I was still trying to take pictures of the baby while holding on to the bar and whirring around in the air!

Yes, I know, I've lost it. My husband rolls his eyes and pats my head. He agrees that I'm totally looney and will not be better until we are actually at the World!

So, hopefully I will survive another 15 days of my own craziness!

Nikki, I like you never buy clothes for myself....I hardly ever buy anything for myself, I had to force myself to do it last night. My son needs some clothes although thankfully not many as we did but him a couple of things earlier in the summer. As far as the wedding plans go all I really need to right now is get the names on the the little cards or the seating chart. I believe they are called escort cards. next week we pay everyone! We meet with the DJ, the caterer and the florist and get them all paid off. thankfully there are no more vendors than that as I am a DIY kinda girl. Since the wedding is Mickey Mouse and hearts themed, I had to make most of the stuff mysellf, It has to be just so ya know?

That's so odd...I definitely had the "connecting rooms" box as a request option when I did online check-in this morning. It was already checked. Maybe you need to have your 2 reservation numbers linked? My TA made the reservations and linked them together, so perhaps that's why the box came up as an option and was already checked, since the TA had already requested it.

Interesting. This online thing is all new to me!

That is interesting, I booked the reservation myself, but I am sure I requested connecting rooms - I think I can try online checkin on Sunday - I wonder if it will be there.

I was reading all our bride to be's making their plans last night and said to DH "I can't imagine planning a wedding and a trip to Disney at the same time." He looked at me as if I had grown Mickey Ears and said - "Was our wedding and honeymoon so unmemorable that you've forgotten all you put me through 12 years ago to make our wedding and honeymoon at Disney perfect? You were also coordinating graduating from college and a return trip from your former foreign exchange student for the wedding. You did it then, chill out...."

I have sooo lost my mind!

My DH ~who hates theme parks ~ woke me up this morning as he was leaving for work. He told me he had just put all my stuff in my van for me. He might even drive over on my birthday for our fireworks boat cruise.

He was amazed at the amount of stuff I have for just me. I told him that one of the bags is qruthies, as she leaves stuff with me, that she needs for her visits, and that I bring all the sodas, blue tub of snacks, ice chest, bag w/dvd player and dvds, etc. I am like a storage locker for our trip stuff.

Plus we never know who might show up to visit us, so I have a bag with 2 twin air beds. LOL

FYI, there is so much more room in the minivan, when you take the middle seat out! Open the sliding door, slide everything in and out.

Well my sister is on her plane, and I have about an hour to drive there. The origional plan was for me to arrive around 2 or 3 to give her time to get all checked in.

I think I might just hop in the van now and surprise her by standing there when she gets off the magical express bus.

Does anybody have any idea what time the bus should arrive at the Contemporary if her plane lands in Orlando at 10:30??

Why am I at work today? Most people took the day off and it's so quiet and dull around here! Oh well -- plenty of DIS time! And I've putting putting the info in my trip planner so I put that together this weekend, so that's good.

I'm starting to think more specifically now about our plans in the parks each day. I'm going to sign up for RideMax this weekend and see how that compares to the UOG touring plans. Which reminds me-- has anyone here every made up a personalized touring plan on the UOG website? It seems rather confusing to me...

And the next dilemma -- to EMH or not? We didn't on our last trip -- followed our UOG touring plans almost to the letter and loved it...but I've been seeing some people just back from their trips saying that they got a lot of rides done in that one hour EMH...TGM and UOG all say to avoid EMH, but I'm second guessing...

What do you all think?

Good thing I called e-pass! I only had $4 left on my account. The way they keep raising the tolls, that is no where near enough to get me to WDW and back!

Gotta love jumping on the 429 in Apopka, and taking it all the way to the AK exit! Worth the money to me!

All right, I can't stand it! I am out of here, I am sure I can find something to do at the Contemporary while waiting for my sisters bus to arrive!!!!
