I got an extra special Christmas present this year... an engagement ring!!!!! I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!
It was totally unexpected - been with DBF (or now... DF!) for over 5 years, we live together too but not really spoken about weddings & marriage!!

Thank you for the congrats guys.. i've not stopped smiling for 3 days!!!

we are thinking June 2011 for the wedding... 18 months to plan (hoorray!) our perfect day and Disneymoon

Steve is a huge soccer fan and the season finishes in May and there is no world or euro cup in summer 2011 either ... I do NOT want him or any other soccer fan at the wedding sneaking off to watch games at a bar or checking their phones for scores!!

I was looking into the Disneymoon yesterday ... it's so easy to get over-excited about that and forget the wedding beforehand hehe!

I want to do a 4 or 5 night cruise on the Disney Dream to the Bahamas and then 7 nights at the Grand Floridian.. in as good a room as budget allows!!

(Nikki I read your TR and decided to do the cruise first.. in case we don't like it, still a week at wdw to enjoy after!!)

we'd already planned to go to NYC and WDW in December 2010 which steve says we can still do.. I'm calling it our 'engagement vacation' now!!

I am incredibly excited!!! I'm marrying the love of my life!!!

Believe me...the Disneymoon was the only thing that got me THROUGH the wedding planning!

Hey fellow July '09ers! Tom and I just booked our next trip. We are going to stay at POR from July 1-8. A little nervous about being there over the 4th but I think we can handle it. Spent the majority of the morning sketching out a basic schedule and booking ADRs online. All of that made me miss you guys!!

A year ago at this time, we were compiling a list of where everyone is staying at, everyone's ADRs, planning to meet up. I can't believe the number of people from this thread I ran into on my trip! I looked for a July 2010 thread and didn't even see one. I wish you we were all going back again this July so we keep on going!

We had such a great group, I think probably the BEST official thread of the month there ever was!

There is a good chance we will be there again this July when you are there. We have APs that expire July 15. We are probably going over the 4th. Not sure yet of our dates - and we will most likely stay at Pop or the All Stars in 2 rooms. Depends on if any other good deals come out.

We did July 4th a few years ago. We went to MK on the 3rd because they show the same fireworks as on the 4th. Then on July 4th we spent the day at Epcot. It worked out really well.

I think there is a July 10 board here somewhere - not sure what happened to it. If I can find it I will put a link.

Hmm, go to the thread. Copy the url in the address bar. Then come back to this thread and post. Click on the icon at the top, under the smiley face, the one with the globe. Past the URL that you copied into there. That should do it! Hope that makes sense!
