OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! (Part 2) It's here!!

How's this for a big dose of "You're not at WDW anymore...welcome back to real life!"???

School starts TOMORROW for us. Yes, seriously. School starts tomorrow.

:sad1:

We have registration this Wed. and school starts next Wed. :sad1: I still haven't bought school supplies, I guess I keep thinking if I put off buying them school will be delayed. :lmao: I'm a substitute teacher and I already have three days on my work calendar starting the first of Sept. Better than last year where I started the third day of school and taught 4th grade for four weeks straight!!

Ugh I feel so bad for you going back to school!! Work doesn't start until after labor day for me! BUT, you probably got out way before me, my last day was June 23.

Yeah, we got out on May 30, or something like that. We only get two months off for summer. That's not long enough!

Most of the schools in the area around me are starting back today. Our schools do not start back until September. I think that we are the last county to start in Georgia.

I have to report back for pre-planning on August 25th, so I have a few more weeks. But when anyone else is enjoying there summer vacations in June, we are all gritting our teeth the get out. :)

I hope that you both have great school year. :goodvibes

You might be the last county to start in Georgia! Did they do teacher furloughs in your county? DH was "off" Thursday and Friday of last week because of furloughs, and will be "off" another day in October. Sadly, he still can't go to MNSSHP with us because furlough days don't affect the regional and state softball tournaments!

I would definetly call photopass! I'm sure they can retrace your pics!

And I would read your TR if you did one! :)

TR are NEVER boring :)

Good idea -- I'll try it. You're so sweet!

It's so hard!

It's "cold" here lol

Plus my body's is angry with me. Apparently I did not eat healthily enough for it lol Well it was my first trip without my gall bladder, so the junk food got to me hehe

Back to eating fruits and sleeping a decent amount of time hehe

And work (school) starts August 26. So I'll have to get ready for that with lesson plans and all. Sigh. Back to reality!

I didn't do too badly at eating healthy on our trip...but I sure got sick of salads. LOL My body was rebelling by the last day or so of our trip, though, between not getting enough rest and not eating quite right. I hope you feel much better soon!

On my share, Jeana (WLFamily), was missing a few pics. She contacted photopass and told them she was missing the pics w/ the specific days, approx. times, and description of what people in the pics were wearing and they found her pics after about two days? Definitely give it a try!

Sorry about your daughter's camera!

Thanks -- I'll try it!

Okay guys, I said I wasn't going to be able to get to a TR for a little while but I just couldn't help it!!!!!!! Since my sister already has the pics from our wedding on snapfish, I am able to start with those SO....

The link in my sig is to my TR, I also have a link in the first post to my PRE TR in case you want to start with that, I put some pics of the morning of the wedding there first to entice my PTR readers to follow me to my TR.

PLEASE read!!! I promise LOTS of pictures!!

Yea!!!!

I'm back at work today....almost didn't make it.

We flew from Orlando to Austin. We were supposed to be on the ground for 40 minutes (staying on the same plane) and arrive in Long Beach around 7pm (PDT). Then drive the 4 hours home.

Well....40 minutes in Austin turned into 3 1/2 hours. We didn't get in to Long Beach until 10pm. Got our luggage, found the car and got on the road around 11pm, to bet around 3am. At work at 8:03am.

Someone poke me every once in a while to make sure I stay awake. :rotfl2:

Sorry you had such a rough journey home...I bet you are exhausted! We'll try to keep you awake today.

I third the rec to contact photopass about your pictures...we were missing some and as a PP said, we talked to them and told them the approximate date, time and the location and they were able to add them with no problem. It is worth a try!

I'll try it-- thanks!

I love buying school supplies...how weird is that? That and new shoes were always my favorite part of the new school year when I was a kid!

I started my TR for anyone who's interested.

The link is in my siggy.

I received an automated call from the superintendent's office asking me to vote on three possible days off. The message said that we will receive an e-mail next week on which days were chosen. I am pretty sure that we will be getting at least one extra day of summer vacation.

My ds just came in and asked me what channel Stacey was on. It took me a few minutes to figure out what he was talking about. The top attractions with Stacey that we watched over and over again during our stay at WDW. He was genuinely bummed when I told him that we do not get it. I am glad we don't because he would want to watch it all day, every day. :)

Sorry, NO MORE JULY FOR US!!! We're going back in June next year. We'll have different dillemas, hopefully not as many tour groups!

I just started my TR, also. Check it out for pics of Lois and crew on our cruise!

We are going in December 09 (10 -17) and then will return again in the fall the next time we go. Most likly not for several years. Lois

pixiedust:pixiedust: Pixie Dust to all of you who can save and go so often. We are envious! For us, we probably won't return until I have Grandkids; we are just way too close to DL and love the Happiest Place on Earth with its SoCal weather!! WDW is always a special treat for us - our trips are few and far between.

Lois - I can't believe you would not go again, after December, for several years! You are a wealth of WDW info and you did so much work for this thread. Thank You! :thumbsup2

I have a back 2 back cruise with DCL planned for October / November 2010. After that I am going to save my money so I can do 21 day in the fall of 2012 to celebrate my 25th anniverary. I want to do 14 dys on a DCL ship, maybe one of the new ones and a week at WDW for this celebration. It is matter of funds not desire by any means. I could do a samer trip every year or I can do a larger longer vacation. Only time will tell if I can hold out. Lois

Gotta use up those Annual Passes! We have a mini trip planned for October then probably a week in June when school gets out. Once the APs run out, it's back to end of August trips for us!! This July trip was mainly because of the wedding date. After the tour groups we encountered (not just crowds, I can handle crowds...but GROUPS) I would rather do August heat than July group crowds!!

Hopefully we will all meet again on another thread someday in the future!! But for now, we have to keep this thread going with our memories of our trips and read each other's trip reports!!

We will be back sometime between June 10 when the kids get out of school, and July 15 - when our APs expire. Not sure of the dates yet. We did July 4th last year and that was really fun.

Well we don't get out of school until the 3rd week of June. I was thinking we'd either have to leave immediately to go before the 4th crowds OR we could be brave and actually GO for the 4th! We'll see. Probably cheaper to go before.

yOU'RE KIDDING ?! When do they get out - or do they have a lot more breaks during the school year?

I think the price is the same until the third week of July so we are stuck with the APs expiring on the 15th. When we did July 4th we went to MK on July 3rd because they do the same fireworks both nights. We went to Epcot on July 4th. Epcot is the biggest park and the least likely to close to capacity. We were staying at BWI so it was easy to get over there. I had a late lunch/early dinner ADR - it worked out well. It was crowded but not as ridiculously.

It did start to clear out after July 4th so I am thinking we might go just before the 4th and then stay after........

When do you start school? The kids start August 26th and I thought THAT was early till I read about Born 2B a Princess!

Hey guys, here I am with Tinkerbell60 and her lovely daughter :)

I think I've talked DH into letting us go back to Disney for another trip but it probably won't be for about 2 years. and he wants to make the WDW days shorter and spend some more time at the beach so He can charter a sailfishing trip.

I think that my husband would leave me if I suggested another vacation to Disney next summer. :lmao: We have visited three times in the last year. We are going to the Smoky Mountains during Christmas and somewhere else in the summer. It will be a few years before we get back to WDW.:sad2:

I posted a bunch of pictures from the first half of our trip on my Facebook page.

Here are some highlights from Day 1:

I met DW & DS at the airport. Their flight from PA came in about 2 hours after my flight from CA.

West wanted Test Track to be his first ride, but due to lightning, it was closed, so we went on Mission: Space first.
