OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! (Part 2) It's here!!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Piggy back ride!! I love it.

He broke his ankle back in March, skiing. He has been on crutches ever since. Unfortunately, it is not mending as it should. He has had surgery, but now they say he has a 50/50 chance of having to have it amputated.:scared1:

We see they doc when we get back from Disney. I'm still hoping for some pixie dust to come our way!:tinker:

Don't mean to complain too much, but I broke my toe last week. At least I'm walking though.

Like everyone says though, after a day or 2 in the parks he might give up on the crutches hehe :)

Sorry about your toe. I know how painful it can be. Try to stay off that foot as much as you can before you get to WDW :)

with a 32 inch inseam!). Now she loves Hollister ($$$!).

My goodness she must be a tall girl!!!
My girls are thin but their bottoms are too round to fit into the Justice jeans.

Good Morning all!
What a long weekend, DD9 has now completed National Dance Finals, Elite Top First trophies in both dances!

Congrats to your little dancer! :cheer2:

I need some pixie dust! My husband has a broken ankle and will be on crutches for our trip! Should be interesting....

Dusted! :wizard:
Oh my............maybe he'll change his mind after the first day in the parks.

What's your best "day before leaving" advice?

Time moves sooooooooooooo slow on the days leading up to vacation. Remember when you were a kid and how long that last day of school was? Omg, it was like torture. Well, that's how the day before we leave town is for me. I can't pass time by napping because I'm too excited to sleep, can't concentrate on a movie to kill a few hours because my mind is racing so I can't focus on the plot, in fact, I can't think or talk about anything other than my vacation. I'm sure I drive everyone around me nuts. They probably can't wait for my vacation either just so they don't have to listen to me anymore.....:rotfl:

Anyway, I save all of my packing for the two days before I leave just so I have something to do to help pass time so I don't drive everyone nuts. :lmao:

OMG! Broken ankles and toes!!!
I hope y'all have a good trip despite all of the injuries.

Good Morning all!
What a long weekend, DD9 has now completed National Dance Finals, Elite Top First trophies in both dances! Yea, now all the money we spend on her feet doesn't seem wasted! ;)

CONGRATULATIONS!! :cheer2:

OH NO!!! I hope things will work out! Maybe he will agree to use a scooter. Men can be so stubborn! :headache:

pixiedust:

I would def. get a weelchair or something.

Of you can leave him at the hotel, or give him a piggy back ride :rotfl:

:rotfl:

Don't leave anything to do for the last day.

Take that last day to try and nap and relax. Order from a restaurant :) Only leave last-minute items like make-up on top of the suitcase, to try and remember to put them in your luggage once you're done.

I hope this can help.

I agree. I plan on packing all week as I get clothes washed.:rotfl: Wednesay or Thursday DD & I are going to get our pedicures. Friday last minute shopping. Get the van's tires rotated and balanced, oil change and check all fluids. Saturday get the van washed and vaccumed. Then, load all our luggage. Sunday go to church and leave right after we eat lunch. We plan on leaving a day early so DS1 doesn't have to ride in his car seat so long!
:goodvibes

13 more days!!

DW has FINALLY started to get serious about her trip, since she leaves for her East Coast tour on Friday.

I think we'll be finishing up our shirts for WDW tonight. I've had the graphics done for days now, all printed and cut out. We were gonna do them last night, but I had forgetten to tell DW not to put dryer sheets in when she dried them. The iron-ons don't work as well if there is fabric softener in the shirts. So they had to be rewashed. :confused3

We picked up a couple of extra t-shirts at Michael's yesterday, so that DW could cut them down into shirts for Speedy (DS's bear that will be making the trip with us).

The good news is that I think I'm finally done changing our ADRs. :rotfl2:

We did our shirts yesterday.did not know about the dryer sheet stuff..but they seemed to come out ok...

MY throat still feels a bit weird today. My nose is really stuffy. But I don't mind the nose.

Anyone got speedy throat recovery tricks? hehe

That's just the instructions I got over on the Creative DISigns forum. Before ironing-on wash & dry without softener.

As long as we can wear them once, I'm happy.

The shirts we made for the cruise last year washed up horribly. But this new iron-on paper I got is a better quality. I made a shirt for my DL trip last month and it washed well. :thumbsup2

Tom I think it is so sweet that you are making Speedy a matching shirt too! What a good daddy you are! :thumbsup2

I am so sorry about your husbands ankle, I hope it heals and they don't have to consider the amputation. I really hope your toe feels better soon too. I am sending some pixie dust your way! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Anyone else unable to do the online check-in :(

After two days of trying I finally called. Rudest CM ever! According to him I'm just 'out of luck' because it's a 'glitch in the system' and a phone number was not associated with some reservations when they were made, so there's no way to check in online.

I understand he's probably frustrated, but I hate when people are rude when it's not even my fault!

After daily checking of Disney's website;;;
FANTANSMIC is back on the calendar. Whoo Hoo!:cool1:
Not only once but twice on Friday the 24th! Yea!!!!!!!!!

Speedy will look so cute in his new shirts! As for the ADRs...don't speak too soon...I thought I was done with mine but cancelled two today! I have a feeling there might be more changes to come....:lmao:

We're hoping to get out "reverse tie dye" shirts done tonight, and my DD14 did some tie dye pillowcases at girls' camp last week using fabric markers, so now she wants to try that on a shirt for our trip. We'll see...

That is horrible! :scared1: I hope that it doesn't go that far. Could he get a boot to wear or he not suppose to have any pressure on it at all?

I agree with PP's responses - he will definitely give up the crutches in one day.

MY throat still feels a bit weird today. My nose is really stuffy. But I don't mind the nose.

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. Salt water rinse is suppose to be the best.

We are about to head out to WDW!!!!

Hope everyone has a great trip! Can't wait to read the reports!

We are still waiting on ours to arrive from the Disney Store. I created our own. They turned out great. Just hoping they will arrive before we leave....:confused3

Gargle with salt water. Add some lemon juice to water and sip.. Hope that helps.

So last night, DH says he thinks my Dad would have more fun doing rides...while we already know my Mom hates rides (we WILL get her on Soarin' and Test Track...just not sure how yet...:lmao:) and she really just wants to shop and spend a lot of time in the World Showcase. DH suggests that I do up two separate plans...one for all of us spending all day in EPCOT, and one where Mom and I stay in EPCOT all day, but DH, Dad, and the girls split off from us after lunch (or after we've done Soarin, Test Track, Mission: Space, Nemo, and Living with the Land) and go to another park to do more rides.

So I was just IM'ing with my Dad and he thought that was a great idea...OK, so now I definitely need to have two separate sets of plans for Saturday. I'm thinking about all of us splitting the day between EPCOT and MK...cancelling the resort break I had planned for the afternoon (which I'll probably regret) and spending the morning at EPCOT until we get through those rides, grabbing lunch, then hopping over to MK and staying there until it's time for our ADR at 'Ohana (5:20, I think), then going back to EPCOT and going through as much of the World Showcase as we can before IllumiNations and closing.

What do you think? Help! I need suggestions!
