Hello from Disney World,
Ever since we got here, I've had trouble getting DISboards to load. I just finally go the pages to load.
Let's see. We went to the Magic Kingdom the first day. My MIL and DN went with my older kids to Stitch's Great Escape. DH, DD7 and I went to Tomorrowland Speedway because DD7 insisted. It said a 30 min. wait. It was less then 15. However, as it started to rain just before we boarded our car. We decided to do it anyway, but as we got further along the track, it started to down pour like you wouldn't believe. By the time we got off the ride, we were totally drenched. I couldn't have been wetter if I'd jumped in the pool fully dressed. As we were going around the track, as it rained harder and harder, it was difficult to open my eyes. By the time we ran over to Anti-Gravities, it was flooding in Tomorrowland. Pretty soon there was at least 4 inches of water on the ground. Scooters were going through it making a wake. I had on slip on tennis shoes because our villa wasn't ready yet, and we went to the parks not dressed as planned. I had "park" shoes, but they were still packed in the van. Anyway, I had to take them off because they were so sloshed. Its now Tuesday, so maybe they are dry!
We now have called housekeeping 5 times for missing items. Never had that happen with DVC before. Still waiting for my 4 spoons and pot holders.
We have our tea at the Grand and DH and DS17 are at Ft. Wilderness on their Segway tour.
We ended up eating dinner Sunday night at TRex. We showed up without reservations. They told us 40-45 min. It was more like 20. The food was very good. Drinks are expensive but very good. The only real problem is the noise level!! OMG it is SOOOOO loud. My MIL wears hearing aids so she had to take them out. It was hard to have a conversation, especially with her. So, I would only go there again if she weren't with us. DN still wants to do Rainforest on Friday for lunch. Hope MIL can bear it. Its noisey too, but not as noisy as TRex. I dont' think I've EVER been in a ressie that loud before. Its cool though. The cool factor is high. The service is also very good.
Oh.. and during our drenching, our camera Kodak 7590

became sopping wet. We let it dry. We used it. But now the programming is all messed up. No matter what setting you put it on, it thinks its on another random setting. I have no idea HOW to fix that and if it is worth having it repaired since it is a 5 megapixel. Its several years old, but has a lot of great features and is a very good camera. Sigh!

We discovered it completely NOT working when we tried to take pix at our character breakfast. We now only have the pix on MIL's OLD camera and DD21's camera. I guess when we get home, we're buying a new camera. DH forgot to pack his backpack which we usually use in the parks. That would have protected the camera at least somewhat in the downpour.
See... now matter how much stuff I brought (alot) we forgot something important because it wasn't on the list. Why I have no idea!
Oh.. and on the way OUT of MK drenched wet, I swear I passed Emma Ford, but I wasn't able to stop her. They were rushing in and we were running for the bus. I hope I bump into her again.
