OFFICIAL JULY 2009 THREAD!!! (Part 2) It's here!!

Wow! I can't believe that I am only 6 days away! :yay:
Since our trip is a secret (it's been very hard keeping this secret :scared:), she had no idea where all of her clothes were. I had to pull an outfit out of her suitcase, with the door closed of course, so that she would have something to wear! :lmao: I guess you can say that maybe I got a little carried away with packing! :rotfl:

:lmao: Too funny! How are you keeping this a secret, and when are you telling the kids! Remember - in order to dream you MUST SLEEP! 3am? Have you even gone to bed yet? Of course, I was UP at 5...

Luvmysoldier - look for us at Ohana, our times overlap a some.

I have 4 days to accomplish everything... time crunch here, I've been messing around for so long, I thought it would be easier. Yesterday I started my "gotta leave the house clean" mode, so instead of packing I organized the girls' toy box and toy closet.:confused3 Brad thinks I am the only woman on Earth that needs an organized toy box... Got all my docs to my itouch, and finished my planning journal/more info than I'll ever need/information overload, went to the bank, confirmed my room, got info for my dog sitter ready, charging DS, camera batteries and Garmin, but I am not packed!

:offtopic:Just heard the serial killer in NC/SC was killed in a police shootout last night. He'd killed 5 in the last couple of weeks. Being on the NC/VA border, I'm glad to hear he was apprehended anyway.

They are also talking about the family stick figures window clings on the back of vehicles, and police are urging people not to put their child's name under their "person". They showed a Disney family.:banana::banana:

Why don't I remember that building??

You know, I don't remember it either. Guess I'm always looking further down the street and for some reason just happened to get that shot this time. One of the reasons I have enjoyed living close by and going so much, I keep finding new things.

My DH came home yesterday and said he probably won't get the position he wants next year, I was sorry to hear that for him, but for me it means another year close to WDW.

Wow! I can't believe that I am only 6 days away! :yay:

I sort of jealous of all you that have had Disney dreams. I still haven't had one yet. Maybe one will come tonight. ;)

Okay - my middle child, DD9 (will turn 10 while at WDW), came to me today and asked if I had washed any of her clothes. I told her that she should have plenty of clean clothes in her drawers. She said that there was nothing in there, none that matched. Puzzled, I went and checked her dresser and sure enough she was right. What happened? Well, for the past two weeks, I have been sneaking in an outfit or two of the kids' clothes into their suitcases that I have in our bedroom. :rotfl:

:rotfl: That sounds like something I would do. I wish I could surprise my DS with a trip, but he has to know what is going on and I'm afraid we would have more meltdowns.

I was reading a Diser's Facebook postings and she was on ME at 3:00am to the airport and said a family of 4 from London was already on the bus and a family of 6 from MI was being picked up at POR. Wonder if it is anyone from this thread since I saw some were leaving today.

I have it copied on the second post of the thread. I'll TRY to keep it updated in your absence.

Tom, please if you want to keep it updated that would be awesome. I feel bad because life got in the way and I missed a few in the last 20 or 30 pages of part one. But I asked them to PM and I only recieved one. They have been added and the one error which was posted was corrected.

So you are good to go!

This time tomorrow we will be at the Airport!!!!

Now I need to finish packing and getting ready. Will post more later. LOis

I never posted my family's picture in here...so here it goes.

I really don't know how come photobucket won't let me make this picture bigger.

I just checked us all in and paid my baggage fees (boy does that bug me!)

Hope everyone has a great and safe trip while I'm gone, see:surfweb:you all when I get home!

Added it! Can I have your dates and resort?

No reason to start over.

Nikki, You're not getting off that easy. I still have 19 days to change my ADRs. Here's your list:

Thanks Tom, that made it easier for me. Pics and ADRs are now in post 1...you keep the Who's Going list on post 2. :thumbsup2

Yeah!!!! It worked!!!! Thanks Mindy and Nikki!!! If you are wanting to add it to our dates Nikki they are 18th at Pop and 19~26 at WL

I'm assuming the picture Tom posted was your family, yes? I added it to the list! :thumbsup2

I dreamt that we were leaving and I was so stressed. I was not "ready". Like if I went to bed tonight and I was awaken and told we leave right now.

I'm at 10 days. Whoo-hooo! I'm stressing the on-line check-in thing. I don't think I can do it. It's a control issue I guess. My DH actually went out and bought himself a pair of shorts yesterday. Will wonders never cease. The plaid ones I picked out for him were way too cool and he would not buy them. Camouflage it is. That's all right, the Grumpy t shirt I bought him matches his shorts. So if you see a pair of glaringly white legs in camo's with a Grumpy shirt on, that's my man!
I mentioned to him last night that we could actually leave Thursday night if we wanted to. He gave me a look, but I might be able to make that happen. I can stay off property another night and make it to the parks by Saturday morning. We'll see.:woohoo:

Yeah, I don't think I can do it either! I'm usually all about doing things online and in advance for some reason, I just don't feel comfortable checking in online yet. Maybe if it was just another trip, I would but I want to make sure they know it's our honeymoon! ;)

Ugh, I have to get future DH to go through his clothes. I'm the kind of person that pulls out all my options, tries the outfits on and makes a list of what I'm wearing each day. Tom will pack the night before. But I'm worried once he starts packing he'll realize he doesn't have enough shorts, or something, and by then it will be too late to go out and buy more clothes...

I love ya Tomorrow!! My trip is only a day away!!

So excited!! :woohoo::yay::cool1::banana::cheer2:

We are a night before packing family. I, however, have my lists of my clothes, the kids' (3) clothes, tolietries and misc. park stuff. My DH lays everything out on the bed and chooses that night. Oh well, to each his own. He gets it done.

I'm nearly in panic mode. 5 days and so much to do. Still have pictures to scrap. Still have to sew up the banner and make our towel ID tags. Need to plan meals to eat in the villa.

Yeah, I'm still trying to get our July 2007 WDW vacation scrapbook done...I think I have 4-6 more layouts to do -- and that's just getting the pictures down -- I haven't done any journaling or embellishments yet. That darn album WILL be done before we leave next Friday! Oh my gosh, we leave next Friday. SO much still to do!

I did it, we'll see. One less thing to do when we get there. If it makes you guys feel better, there is a place to put in your celebration, and then yesterday I got a sweet little email from Disney with info about our hotel, driving directions, phone numbers, and of course asking us to order something from the Disney florist. I did it at 10 ten days out, and reconfirmed by phone yesterday at 5 days with our room requests (they were already noted), so you can always call and speak with someone, too!

My mom just mentionned I should wear like a green ribbon on my wrist :)

ohhh....what if I find a lime green bracelet!

Claire's has lots of lime green jewelry -- bead necklaces, various bracelets, those rubber ("jelly") bracelets...lots of stuff. And really inexpensive.

ROTFLOL! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That is hilarious! That's one good thing about my girls knowing about the trip -- I haven't had to worry about sneaking their clothes out. Of course, I do have a few little surprises that I need to manage to get into their suitcases without them knowing about it (character pajamas). I bought them each a little stuffed Minnie Mouse and I'm going to sneak those out to the car and buckle them in to the girls' seatbels just before we get in the car so that the girls will find them when we get in the car. I'll sneak their new pajamas into their suitcases when DH and I take the suitcases out to the car, so that when they open their suitcases at the resort their new pajamas will be on top. Two new t-shirts will be in their welcome baskets when we get there...so now I just have to figure out when to surprise them with their new bracelets....any thoughts?

I started putting my planning notebook spreadsheets together last night...and when I started filling them in, I realized that I have lunch AND dinner ADRs on two of our dates...we're only doing 5 ADRs total, so I really don't think I want to have two each on two of our days...the problem is that two of the TS restaurants we want to go to are both in EPCOT and we only have a day and a half in EPCOT scheduled right now, and we can't do the ADRs on the first day (my parents will be with us that day so we're doing a family dinner at 'Ohana)....and then the other day is DHS and one of those is our Fantasmic dining package, so I can't change that but my girls really wanted to try 50s Prime Time Cafe, and we're only planning one DHS day.

UGH. I knew when the reservations all were, but I guess seeing them on the spreadsheet in table format made me realize that I really don't want lunch and dinner ADRs on the same date. So now I need to rethink the ADRs. And I was SO proud of myself for not changing any of them....

Stress! :scared1:

I'm counting down days, but also stressing because I have so much to do before I leave (we're leaving a week early to visit family first...why did I do that????) I keep debating whether to change a couple of my reservations. I was reading last night at barnes and noble and thought perhaps I should have picked Jiko instead of Cali grill as our one NICE dinner. Or perhaps I should have picked Cape May Cafe instead of Biergarden for our Epcot night. Online ADRs are killing me, because I can switch at will :)
