***Official January 2025 Thread***

Any word on when the sky liner closure will occur in 2025? When did it close last year? We have a res at Caribbean beach from Jan 5-11 specifically because we like the convenience of the sky liner. If it’s shut down I would like to try a different resort. Thanks!

Waiting on that announcement also

It’s usually down for like a week during the “20s” but last year I think was a little longer and started on the 16th.
No word yet for 2025. Here's the closure dates for the past few years:
  • Jan 16, 2024 to Jan 27, 2024
  • Jan 22, 2023 to Jan 29, 2023
  • Jan 23, 2022 to Jan 28, 2022
Last year, the announcement was made in late October.

We have moved our February trip to January; probably 7-17. We are usually end of Feb/early March people, but I’m clergy and Ash Wednesday is on March 5. Since we do not want to be dealing with spring break, we decided to try January for the first time. Even if it’s cold, it will be warmer there than New England!

Thanks! I went ahead and added those dates to the first post. If anything changes, please let me know!

This only impacts the very end of January, but:

Jan 31 - Feb 2: National Dance Team Championship
Accomodation at All Stars/Coronado
Event page mentions a Sunday night celebration party in HS, and Friday night extended hours in Epcot

Just checked again with a cast member and no word on when. His response was to "keep checking back on the website." 🙄This is so annoying. January is just around the corner.

As a former New Englander (Central Mass), I predict you'll go swimming down there in January! When we lived up there, we'd be the ones swimming in the Orlando winters at WDW, while the lifeguards would be sitting in their chairs, with their puffy winter jackets on, along with hats and gloves, shaking their heads. Now that I'm in South Texas, I'm sitting with my winter jacket on, but the New Englanders are still in the pool.

January discounts are out!

  • Save up to 20% on rooms for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights from January 1 to February 20, 2025

However, the system is currently glitching and not applying lower prices when you try to change the reservation.

Save Up to 25% on Rooms at Select Disney Resort Hotels in Early 2025
Ok, I cleared my cart, logged out, logged back in, and it worked.

Saved $65 for the first week of January. Not much, but at least it can go towards lightning lane passes!

Just called reservations and even though my first reservation falls into those dates, I can't get a discount because our WL category is sold out and the offer will not apply. Unless I want to change my dates. But then I would have to change flights also and the dinky little discount they are offering isn't worth it.

VERY Disappointed to say the least!!!

If you get a chance, you could always play around with different resorts or room categories online to see if anything else will work for you!
