First trip to DL for DH and I Jan. 14-17th! It's our 15th Anniversary, and my 40th birthday are earlier in the month. So we wanted to get away without the kids. Original plan was a cruise, but we couldn't find good airfare to any ports. Found great prices to Orange County, so we are going to Disneyland! I grew up going to WDW, and have taken our kids 3 or 4 times, so DL is a whole new thing for us.

FYI, in case you didn't know, those dates are during Star Wars 1/2 weekend so expect crowds to be heavier. But overall it'll be a fun trip! We will be there at the same time for our first DL trip so I'm excited.

Less than 60 days out for us! I can make the 11th and 12th reservations but I still haven't decided on when we're doing what each day.

We made a list of things we want to do/haven't done this year yet and mapped out where everything is so we can separate the lands into different days... so we're not crossing the park multiple times a day lol

Happy to report that it appears that F! Dinner and dessert packages can be booked (as of today) until the 12th! Looks like the rumor that it will be performed weekdays is true. I was able to book the dessert party for Monday!

I just found out that we may be going again for Jan 23rd. Apparently that is Homeschool Day! I was able to find a reasonably priced room, but boy did I have to look for a while. Most seem to be sold out or very expensive. You can put us on the list for Jan 22-25 staying at the Desert Inn and Suites.

That is NAMM days (huge music convention). Many of the hotel hold rooms for convention goers. There should be room releases soon, so keep checking if you were looking for a particular hotel.

We have stayed at Desert Inn several times. You will love the location!

Do you mind if I ask how much it cost? I have tried to do a search but can't find any info....and another question....with F! Do you HAVE to book in advance to watch it? And pay more to watch it? Or is it free and included with park admission and anyone can watch it?

Hi again I also posted previously about our upcoming January trip. We fly in Jan 2 and return home on the 13th. Our family of 5 made a holiday trip in Dec 2012 and loved it!

We will have 5 day hoppers. Right now, I'm trying to get a tentative plan of what days we will be in the parks. We'd like to spend at least one day before the holiday season is over so we can see the parade, WOC and do some rides (Jingle Jangle, HM, IASW). What day would be best for this - crowd wise? Saturday (3), Sunday (4) or Monday (5)?

We have an adjustment to our dates. We will now be staying Jan 4 - 11! I got a pin code email and was able to add an extra day for less than our original cost. I'm so excited! My daughter is jumping up and down like a crazy person... LOL!
