Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

We are staying at the Pop Century Resort and have a 7:50 AM reservation at Ohana at the Polynesian Resort(on THANKSGIVING DAY), after breakfast we are headed to Hollywood Studios. Best way to get from our resort to Polynesian to HWS?

Side note-- We also will have our car if that is the best option.

Be at the bus stop for MK at Pop @ 6:30am. Tell the bus driver that you are going to Poly for breakfast. If the bus driver does not offer to drop you off at Poly, exit the bus at MK, walk to the Resort Monorail entrance ramp, and ride the monorail to Poly.

After bkfst, there is a direct bus from Poly to DHS.

You could drive, if you want. Allow at least 30 minutes to drive, park, and walk to the restaurant at Poly. Expect heavy traffic entering DHS and exiting at the end of the day.

About how long a taxi ride is this? We would leave HS after the park closes at 4 pm, and I'm trying to figure how early I can scedule a dinner at San Angel.

Thanks!!

The actual drive is about 6-8 minutes, but then you have to add the time it takes to enter epcot and walk to the back of the park.

You can walk or take the boat from DHS to Epcot in about 20 minutes. A taxi will cost $10 to $15 and will only end up saving you about 5 minutes.

Hi All,

I'm not having luck searching this thread:upsidedow. Wondering if there are buses direct from Blizzard Beach to EPCOT?

Thanks for your time!:yay:

Yes, while BB is open, there are buses that run from BB to Coronado Springs Resort and then continue on to Epcot.

After BB has closed, you may have to take a shuttle to CSR and transfer to an Epcot bus.

We are doing a split stay from All Stars to CSR. It looks like they are really close so might make sense to take a cab instead of taking two busses. Are there cabs readily available at all resorts or does a CM have to call one? TIA

There are usually one or two cabs sitting at each resort. You might have to have a CM call for one though. It doesn't take them long to get to you. Taking a cab is really the most efficient way to move from one resort to another. I used to use Disney transportation, but I hated having to wait all day for my luggage. So now I just take it with me! So much easier.

Thanks. I did not realize the boat would take us park to park!

Is the info from the first thread still valid ( bus stop numbers) just wanted to double check before I copied and paste it since it was posted 4 yrs ago :)

Bus stop numbers are always subject to change - they have even been known to change a few times over the course of one trip. You should always check the directory by the bus stops. There's no need to keep a list of them with you.

Ok thanks!! :)

Is the traffic bad in DTD? Looking to possibly stay at the Hilton at DTD, and was wondering if it was worth if there is bad traffic. We will be there the 10th of Oct.

We have booked the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise for the night of our MK day. I know we can take the monorail to the Contemporary, but how early should we leave MK and how do we get there? We have to be at the Cont. by 6:30. TIA!:confused3

It's also possible to walk there. Gate to door is 10-15 mins, but the CR boat dock is in the back of the resort, so add another 10?

Ok, I'm too lazy to mull through oodles of threads/posts to find an answer, so please bare with me...

I've stayed at BWI a few times but the last time was 2008 and I'm hoping against all odds that the bus system has improved??? :rolleyes2

We have ADR's for Kona at 9:25 AM on a Sunday (late OCT) and we are staying at the BC.

Questions: how reliable is the bus system for the Epcot resorts lately? Better? Worse?

And if you have stayed at one of the Epcot resorts recently and had a morning ADR at Poly, what amount of time did you wait?

FYI:
Our last trip we missed our AM ADR at Ohana because no bus for that area showed up. AK buses were plentiful, but nothing else. We showed up 90 min. early at the BWI bus stop, and by the time we gave up there were at least 25 other people waiting for the same bus.

I don't want to have that same fiasco and we are willing to call cabs (party of 8) if ya'll advise it. Just wanting to plan accordingly...

Thanks in advance for your help! :goodvibes

Thank you. Do you know how long this takes? Want to plan so we aren't rushing to an ADR.
Plan on 90 mins! I have arrived barely in time due to buses or boats messing up!!! It should take 10 mins for the bus to MK to get there, then 15 mins to MK. Off the bus and walk over to CR...10 mins. So, theoretically, it should be about 40 mins, tops. But, it never is.:confused3

Buses are about the same as always. No better, no worse. Buses start running to the parks by 6:30am every day. They tend to run about every 25 mins. By about an hour prior to park opening the regular buses start running. I doubt you will have a long wait for a MK bus at 8:30! To be sure, and not stress, be out at the bus stop by 8:15. Then, if the boat to the GF/Polynesian is there when you get to MK, or it's coming in, hop on. If not, just take the monorail over.
