Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

I hope you'll all forgive me for not reading all the pages of this thread! But I mostly just want to know - is the first post's list of park-to-park routes still valid from '10? This is the first time we'll be doing park hopping MOST days without stopping back at the resort, so mostly just trying to figure out the easiest ways to get between parks....

Actually, that first post was updated last spring when the new bus stops went into effect. So, yes, they are fine. The only thing I can't say for sure are the stop #'s. But, each park/resort stop is listed at the entrance to the bus areas at each park.

If I am at HS and want to ride the boat to Epcot for a 3:45 pm ADR at Rose and Crown, would leaving at 1:45 pm be plenty of time to make my reservation?

That's 2 hours, which is way more time than you need. 1 hour would be plenty.

Ok Noon arrival to MCO, DME to Pop, Bus to MK and Ferry to Ft. Wilderness for the 4pm HDDR (or maybe taxi to Contemp and them Ferry to Ft. Wilderness)

is this going to work??

If your flight arrives on-time, you should be at Pop by 1:30. Certainly no later than 2! Take the bus to MK, then boat to FtW...the boat drops you off a very short walk from Pioneer Hall. As long as your flight is on-time, you will be fine.

How far of a walk is it? I'm old and have a bad back.

Well, it depends on exactly where you start and exactly where you want to end up. It's probably going to be a half mile or so. It isn't likely to be any longer than walking to the boat dock, waiting for the boat, talking the boat to French Quarter, and then walking to your destination, but that's an option also.

What's the best way to get from Port Orleans Riverside to the French Quarter? TIA

You can take the DTD bus. It stops at all POR bus depots, then FQ. The bus runs about every 20 minutes starting around 8:30am. Be sure to tell the driver that you are going to FQ, because it may otherwise be skipped if the bus fills up.

If you happen to be travelling from the POR East Depot, in the morning some theme park buses also stop there (East only) and then FQ.

If you need to get back from FQ to POR, after 11am most buses to Epcot, AK, & DHS stop at FQ and then make all stops at POR. Again, it's important to check with the driver. Before 11am, almost all buses leaving FQ go directly to their destination.

Thank you both for the information.

I should have said that I want to go to Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory to get Beignets for breakfast.

Thanks I have been stalking my flights and so far in the last week they have arrived on-time or even up to half hour early on a few occasions.. fingers crossed the good luck continues.. Michelle

I have a 7:50 Narcoossee's res., need to get there from BWI because we have to change into grown-up clothes beforehand. Best way?

Since Narcoossee's is right at the boat dock, I'd say bus to MK, then boat launch to GF.

Another option I can think of is boat/walk to DHS, then bus to GF.

What's the easiest route from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney?

You'll need to transfer at a resort. My choice would be either Pop century or Art of Animation. They're both on the way and have quick bus service.

Is the walkway from Congress Park to DTD open? I thought I had read it was closed. TIA

Yes, a new pedestrian bridge opened this summer. The walk is just a bit shorter than the old pathway.

It's one of the first elements completed showing the Disney Springs theming.

About how long a taxi ride is this? We would leave HS after the park closes at 4 pm, and I'm trying to figure how early I can scedule a dinner at San Angel.

Thanks!!

We are staying at the Pop Century Resort and have a 7:50 AM reservation at Ohana at the Polynesian Resort(on THANKSGIVING DAY), after breakfast we are headed to Hollywood Studios. Best way to get from our resort to Polynesian to HWS?

Side note-- We also will have our car if that is the best option.
