Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

The TTC is adjacent to the main MK parking lot. The MK parking lot trams drop you at the TTC for monorail, ferryboat, or bus transportation to the MK. There are also monorails to Epcot and the MK monorail resorts (buses while the monorails are down for maintenance.)

There is no transportation to DHS, AK, DTD, or the waterparks from the TTC (except for early morning service to DHS & AK.) You need to travel to a monorail resort to transfer to DTD or a waterpark, and to either MK or a monorail resort to transfer to DHS or AK.
Thanks for the information! I've always stayed on site before but couldn't pass up free lodging this time around. I really prefer to just park my car for the week but this time I won't have that option.

We will be park hopping and am trying to decide to park at the parks, transferring in my car each time or parking at the TTC and just winging it from there. What do you think?

Simple question that I'm sure has been asked before, but can you get
from DTD to other parks, or do you have to go to a resort first? Thanks
so much!

There is no direct transportation between DTD and the parks, so you'd have to go to a resort first.

Hi everyone I was hoping someone can help. From what I understand there is the Epcot International Gateway that someone can take (walk or ferry) to the boardwalk? I also understand that you should not really leave the parks in case it may reach full capacity around New Years and especially on New Years Eve, but can you, if you are already in Epcot's World Showcase, walk over to the boardwalk for awhile and go back to the World Showcase without any problems, or can you be turned away from that point, even though you were there earlier. Thanks everybody!

Does anyone know how long this change of monorail schedule is for? We go to Disney Dec 12-21 and have 3 early breakfasts (2 @ 7:30 & 1 @ 8) at the 3 monorail hotels. Basically we will have to catch the respective resort's bus at MK? We're staying at Pop

The International Gateway works exactly like any other park entrance - Staged closing rules still apply.

Here are the stages:
Stage 0 - Due to limited available parking, Guests may be directed to alternate parking areas where they will use Resort transportation to travel to the park of their choice.

Stage 1 - At this stage each Guest in a vehicle must have a valid multi-day ticket. Also Guests with a Park Hopper or re-entering the Park, by showing a currently dated Parking Receipt, will be allowed in. Also, any Guests using Disney transportation are allowed.

Stage 2 - At this stage, Theme Park admission is limited to Disney Resort Guests*, Annual and Premium Annual Passholders, Guests with Park Hopper tickets crossing over from another Park, Guests re-entering this Park today. Guests with written confirmation of reservations for Dining or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or The Pirates League within one hour are also admitted. Guests using Walt Disney World Resort Transportation will be admitted. Guests not meeting the above criteria are told the Theme Park has reached capacity.

Stage 3 - At this stage, Theme Park admission is limited to Disney Resort Guests*, Annual and Premium Annual Passholders. Guests with written confirmation of reservations for Dining or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or The Pirates League within one hour are also admitted.

Stage 4 - Nobody is allowed in.

Also, if you are staying at a Disney owned and operated Resort and have a ticket, you are guaranteed entry into A park. Not necessarily the one you want (unless you want to go into AK). And if you have entered and left a park and do not have a hopper you may not get into anything.

*Guests of WDW Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green at the Walt Disney World Resort are considered part of this group for Stages 2 and 3. In addition, Guests from Hotel Plaza Boulevard hotels arriving by bus are included.

The good news is that Epcot is not going to reach stage 3 or 4 closing - it never does. You aren't going to have a problem getting back in.

I generally always stay off property & I drive to the park I know I will end up going to last & take internal transportation to the park I'm starting out at. IMO, it works out better for me instead of having to drive to multiple parks every day.

I always plan to do Hollywood & Epcot on the same day & either take the Friendship boat or the bus, depending on what area of Epcot I'm coming from/going to.

The only exception is when I start out the day at AK then hop to another park.

The schedule has been released thru 9/26. Nothing has been announced beyond that date.

You can walk from MK to CR. If the reduced schedule is still in effect at the time of your visit, yes, there will be buses from MK to Poly & GF (and CR also, if you prefer not to walk.)

Thank you! I hadn't thought of that. It pays to ask questions!

Does anyone know if any buses go from Blizzard Beach to Hollywood Studios around 11:45 or noon?

Please help...

We have FP+ scheduled for FOF Parade at 3 p.m. and dinner at Boma at 5:00.

Is it going to be impossible to do both? I envisioned watching the parade, making for the exit, and hopping on a bus from MK to AKL. Will we be cutting it too close? Any advice appreciated.

Thank you!

What time does the International Gateway open? If we have an 8:15am breakfast at Cape May and are planning to walk to Epcot afterwards, will we be able to enter via the International Gateway area? Thanks in advance!!

Same time as the front gate: 9:00.

Sorry if this has been asked, tried to find it but no luck. We are considering using the bus from pop to mK to make opening show, since monorail will not run until 8:30. Just curious how long it should take to get from pop to mK. Just looking for the best/quickest way. (Trip is in 2 wks) usually we drive car around property because we have a little one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Looking for the best/quickest way to get from port orleans riverside to whispering canyon cafe using disney transportation. Have a 5:05pm reservation for 17 people - would being at the POR bus stop at 3:30 be enough time? Thanks so much!!!!!

With that many people they might bus you directly over you never know and it couldn't hurt to ask.

Taking the bus to MK is faster than driving because the bus drops you off right at the MK gates. I usually leave 1 hour before the park opens. Generally speaking you can expect a 0 to 15 minute wait for the bus and then 15 minutes of actual drive time.
