Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

2 questions...
We're staying at AKV. What are the routes for buses? I thought I read something about the bus going to Kidani first then Jambo then the parks...

Also the boat from HS that goes to Beach Club... is there another boat that goes the opposite direction or just one that goes all the time?
DTD buses stop at Jambo, then Kidani. All other buses stop at Kidani, then Jambo -- normally, but some buses may be sent in the opposite direction if everyone waiting at Jambo is not getting on.

The Epcot resort Friendship Boats run in both directions between DHS & Epcot's International Gateway entrance. They make all 3 resort stops in both directions. The number of boats on the route varies by time of day and expected crowd levels.

Exactly what I needed to hear :) Thank you so much!

Is the info. on the first post up to date and correct?

Is the only way to DTD from the parks via one of the resorts?

The modes of transport are correct, but the stop locations have changed. Check the directory boards at the entrance to each bus area for current stop assignments, or ask a transportation cm.

Beginning 12/15, buses will run directly to MK from DHS & DAK, instead of thru TTC.

Yes. Full service out of DTD begins at 11 a.m.; before that, buses run into DTD from all resorts, but direct outbound service is limited to nearby resorts.

Hi. I'm looking for some expert advice. We're heading down on 12/5 (yay!) and staying at CR. We have 2 days where we will have free time to hit up some of the other resorts to see their decorations. One day we have early breakfast ressies at Cape May and then plan on spending the rest of the day at MK for the MVMCP. The next day we plan on doing DTD, dinner back at Cali Grill and then watching the fireworks from their obsv area later that night.

What transportation should we take to hit up as many of the other resorts as possible on the way back from Cape May? (no time before)

What do you think is the best plan for on the way to/from DTD? I was figuring we could do the other 2 monorail resorts and head over to FW (via boat) after dinner/before the fireworks. Does that sound logical?

We're really hoping to catch POR, BWI, CBR, YC, AKL (maybe), and OKW (maybe).

TIA for any suggestions :santa:

Hello, best way to get from the Grand Floridian to Port Orleans? I was thinking Monorail--->MK--->Bus to Port Orleans. Or possibly GF Bus--->DD-->Boat to Port Orleans.

I have an 8:00 am ADR for Hollywood & vine with park opening at 9. Staying at AKL. Do I need to arrange for an early pickup with the concierge?

The first option is the best option. DTD bus service is slooooow - I would only transfer there as a last resort.

Nope. Bus service starts at 6:30 every morning, but they do run a bit less frequently until an hour before the park opens - about every 30 minutes. You should be at the bus stop a little before 7:00. Or, for about $20 you could take a cab and be there in 10 minutes.

Disney transport newbie here! I was happy to see that Beaches & Cream takes reservations so I nabbed one for 6:40pm on May 5th. We were going to be spending the day at Epcot and then walk over to Beaches & Cream. My question is, I see Epcot closes at 9pm that night. If I park in the Epcot parking lot and we don't finish dinner by 9 for some reason, how would I get to my car? Would it be better to take the bus from Art of A. (where we are staying) and then take Disney transport back at night? Would we have to take a bus from the Boardwalk to a park and then the hotel? TIA!

My question is similar to SnapesGirl but I'm adding....

Are there taxes available at the Boardwalk to take back to other hotels?

In all my visits to Disney, I've never been to the Boardwalk area before.

There are taxis available at all resorts.

Suggestions on how to get to Contemporary resort for dinner without using the monorail. Concerned about a breakdown that would end up causing us to miss our reservation and be charged $10 a head!

Where are you coming from?

Haha! Oops- sorry! EPCOT. That's why I'm asking. The only direct route is via monorail but that makes me nervous.

You could walk to the beach club, take the bus to MK, and then walk to the contemporary.

Or you could just take a cab from Epcot to the Contemporary.

Humm... Can sounds like a much better option. Do you know can you just hail a cab for
EPCOT or do you have to call for one?

There will be plenty at the taxi stand outside of the park. Plan on it costing $20 or so.

No car, so prefer Disney buses. How can we get from AKV to make a 8:00 a.m. reservation at Magic Kingdom before park open?

TIA!
