Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

From All Star Sports to HS, driving our own van? This is our first time driving to a park (normally we take the bus, but need to get there super early).

When you exit the All Star Resorts, continue straight for approx 2.5 miles, the entrance to DHS will be on your right hand side, directly across from Epcot Resorts Blvd and the Hess gas station.

Have never taken the boat from POR nor caught YeeHaw Bob's show despite staying @ POR.

Will be staying @ the DTD Hilton and thought it might work out to walk across the street from our hotel and catch the boat up to POR. We don't want to drive since we plan on enjoying adult beverages.;)

Need to know:

1) Would like to confirm that via search here it appears as though the last boat would depart back to DTD somewhere in the area of 11 p.m.?

2) How long does the boat take to make the run?

3) If we miss the boat assume we have bellman call a cab back to hotel? We've taken them before in WDW just not sure how easy it is to grab one after 11:30 pm.

1. Sounds about right.

2. About ten-fifteen minutes.

3. Well, you could take the bus back to Downtown Disney. It runs later.

The monorail def sounds more fun but in case we are short on time I was not at all sure how long the two options would take. Is parking at GF easy for breakfast? Thank you so much!!!

Gf self parking is actually across the street from gf itself! You have to push a crosswalk button and everything to get there. So, unless you wanna pay for valet yes, monorail is the best way.

I can't remember, but does the bus from Pop that goes to DTD go by Blizzard Beach? Or is that the bus that goes to Animal Kingdom?

They used to do park to park. Do they still do that?

There is park to park transportation. Usually it's buses, but there are a few exceptions.

Between MK and Epcot it's the monorail.

Between DHS and Epcot it's a boat or you can walk.

To get from DHS to MK, you take a bus, but it lets you off at the TTC rather than the front gate like the resort buses do. You then need to take either the monorail or the ferry to get to the MK. Another option would be to take the bus to the Contemporary Resort and then walk to MK. (You would also go this way to get from AK to MK and then reverse to get from MK to either DHS or AK.)

AK bus goes to BB, DTD bus to TL.

Could someone tell me the best way to get from Hollywood Studios to the Magic Kingdom?
Bus, but it will drop you at the TTC. Other option? Bus to the CR and then walk over to the MK.
Isn't there park to park buses?

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & POFQ Sept 8-15, 2013
yup.
To MK from other parks...from Epcot, monorail. From DHS and AK, bus. All go to the TTC first and then you can boat over to MK or transfer to the resort or express monorail line. Reverse that going to those parks from MK

Others all have buses that run directly between each other...buses have stops along side the resort buses. While there are buses running between Epcot and DHS, you can also walk or take a boat...those two options will get you to the back door to Epcot...International Gateway.

Not sure if this is the best place for this question or not....

We have an 8:05am ADR at Crystal Palace in May and we are staying offsite. I have read that the monorail from the TTC to MK does not start running until 8:15-8:30 for a 9:00 opening. What is my best option to getting to the MK for my ADR, walking to the Polynesian? How far is the walk and what time does the monorail from the resorts to the MK start running?

The monorail, at least the resort line, starts by 7am. I imagine the Express starts shortly after that. I'm sure someone will come along and correct me, and give you the correct start time for that line.
There are lots of offsite guests that drive to the TTC and need to get over to MK for early ADRs so it shouldn't be an issue.

In any case, the walk to the Polynesian is under 10 mins...very pleasant walk.

Hi all!

My family is staying off site at a hotel on International Drive.

I was concerned that if we miss the last hotel shuttle that takes us back to the hotel or that last shuttle is full..

What's the best way to get back to our hotel?

Taxi would be expensive I assume...

but is there a number we can call to get shuttle service to hotels on International Drive? What's the most time and cost efficient way?

No experience with off site shuttles, so huge grain of salt. ;). I would guess that if you are staying off site, and relying on your hotel's shuttle (no car) if you miss the shuttle or they are inconvenient, I would think that you would be limited to taxi service. I recall the Mears' site had a taxi fare estimator, you might check out estimated taxi costs to/from your hotel just to get an idea.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards App, please excuse any typos or autocorrects!

You can check taxi fares at taxifarefinder.com

Generally, offsite hotel shuttles are less than adequate. It's probably going to end up cheaper for you to rent a car.

Public transit can be iffy. There is a Lynx bus that stops at both TTC and DTD.
It might be rather convoluted getting back to your hotel using the Lynx system.
You are probably going to have to rely on either cabs, or rent a car. This is always an issue for those staying offsite.

So everyone... I need to know how to get from Epcot to all the other 3 theme parks in the shortest time.

We'll be at Epcot at around 9:20am every morning. How long woukd getting to the other parks take approx.? :s
