I would always choose the bus at the CR for transfers for MK and DS.
I would say that is about right since CBR has several internal stops to make before heading off to the parks. It likely won't take that long, but if it is important to you that you are there by those times, I would stick with about an hour.I've never done rope drop via busses. We would like to be at AK by 7:45a one morning and to MK by 8:15am the other morning. We are staying a CBR so the busses are out only option. How much time should I plan for the bus transport each morning? I was thinking 1 hour?
Thank you!I would always choose the bus at the CR for transfers for MK and DS.
I would go with bus from DS to CR. Raglan Road is pretty close to the DS bus depot, and you might have a little trouble finding the SSR Congress Park bus stop if you're not familiar with the resort.Hi all, I've read from about page 200 and couldn't find the answer to my route question so I'm hoping this isn't a repeat. This is my first trip to WDW as an adult and taking my DH & DS (4ys). I'm planning on us leaving MK to eat an early dinner @Raglan Road in DS on our last day (Friday) but want to get back to MK for parade/fireworks that night. Is the quickest Disney transport from DS to MK to walk to SS from DS then bus to MK? Or should we bus from DS to CR then walk to MK? Or am I all wrong on both of those routes? Thanks in advance!
Actually, that's not a factor in this case. There is one more stop within SSR after Congress Park, but the bus from DS to CR stops at WL before CR, so it's a wash. You are correct on both routes, but I suspect bus from DS to CR is the faster route since there are several internal stops at SSR before the bus will head out to MK. Hope that helps!

But some folks have reported long lines and extended waits for buses from DS. If the line for the bus to CR looks like more than will fit on a bus, and you see a bus for Poly or GF coming in without a full queue waiting, I would take that bus and then hop on the Resort Monorail for 1 or 2 stops to MK.
I'm pretty sure I've seen the Alamo van at DHS. Call the day ahead to reserve a pickup. If they say no, use Uber.We have such a packed schedule, the best time for me to pick up my rental car would be late afternoon, direct from DHS. I thought I read that Alamo at the Car Care Center picks up from resorts, but from a park directly, am I correct in assuming that Uber would be my best bet? Thanks!
If you are tight on time, take a cab to the BLT and walk to MK. Its a 10 minute walk too.Any tips for getting to an 8am BOG from the Poly with a MK 9am opening? We tried this last week and it was a major fail. We were told the bus was our only option at that time. We walked about of our room to see the resort boat running, but we had just missed it (a little before 7am). We then walked to the bus stop since the resort monorail wasn't running yet. Waited for 30 min, asking every bus driver and not one bus came for MK. Front desk told us buses didn't start til 8:30 even though every other park ones were running at that time. I have no idea if the resort boat came back, should we have tried to walk to the TTC (not sure if that monorail or boat were running). There was a bus that was running the monorail resort loop, but each driver insisted they were not going to MK. Around 7:45 we got on that bus and got off at the contemporary and walked to MK, but it was not a fun start to the morning. Instead of arriving early we were late to our reservation and were not able to eat in time to beat the morning rush. It was very frustrating to be staying so close to the park and have it take over an hour to get there. What could we have done differently?

I think, to be fair, you're supposed to call in advance, possibly the night prior. But, I could be misinformed. Not sure on Alamo running their shuttle to the parks, but we were staying at POR last November and rented from the Alamo at the CCC. I was told to call for their shuttle to come pick me up. After we checked in (DME from the airport) we grabbed lunch and I called for the shuttle. I was told it would be 2 hours+ for the shuttle so I ordered an Uber and was picked up by the time I walked from Riverside Mill to the front door. Super easy. At the end of the trip I dropped off the car and the Alamo shuttle was sitting there at the CCC so I did use it to return to POR. With Disney, time is of the essence and I think Uber is going to be your fastest choice as opposed to the Alamo shuttle since it's an unknown as to when it will be available to pick you up.
Yes, get the bus to DS at BC.Grateful that those of you who frequent WDW and know your way around are able to assist the rest of us.
Here are a few situations I am needing help with. I am wanting to use WDW transportation and these situations are not dependent on rushing to get to any ADRs:
1) We will be in Epcot WS and needing to head to DS. Is it best to walk out the IG and then catch a bus at Boardwalk or Beach
Club to get to DS? Or ... ?
There's no bus from AK to TTC. There is a bus from AK direct to Poly.2) We will be closing AK and then heading over to the Poly. MK closes early (4:30pm for a cast party) so taking a bus from AK
to MK and then Monorail over, won't work. Is it best to take a bus from AK to TTC and then the Monorail to Poly? Or...?
I think the last boat leaves at 10:20, but it could be 11:20. Check the sign at the dock. The PO boat docks at the Marketplace dock, behind the Hanes T-shirt shop. If the boat is full, you'll have to take the bus back instead; buses run until 2am.3) How late into the evening can we catch the boat going from DS to POR ? Is the boat pretty crowded where we might
have difficulty getting on it?
Buses run as normal from the MK until the park is clear after the party, but I'm not sure about the monorail. If the monorail shuts down early, the boat from Poly to MK will be running until the end.4) If MVMCP is occurring (but we are not attending) I am guessing we can still go from the Poly to MK on the Monorail and then
catch the bus from MK back to POR anytime up to an hour or two after MCMCP ends, correct?
Thanks in advance.![]()
