Official 'how to get from point A to point B while at WDW' thread.

Okay, second question?

How would I get from AoA to OKW for a 7:30AM ressie?

...thinking about taking an Olivia's breakfast instead and not fret over Ohana as much as I am.

For that one, I would definitely take a cab. I can't think of a reliable way to get there that early using disney transportation.

Bus to Epcot, then bus to OKW. At OKW, get off at the 1st stop (Peninsular) and walk to Olivia's (less than 5 minute walk.)

You could also transfer at DHS, but I think there are more buses from Epcot to OKW in the early a.m.

But in this case, a taxi would be worth it. The resorts are close enough together that cab fare should be under $10.

In March I have a 3:30 pm reservation at TRex and am planning on spending the morning at Animal Kingdom. What time should I leave AK and what is the best way to get to DTD?

I am staying at POR, so I thought at first it might make sense to go back to POR or POFQ and take the boat. Is that the best way?

Yes, that's a good option. Transfer at POFQ, since that's the 1st stop for the bus and the last stop for the boat. I would allow 90 minutes. That's early enough that I don't think you have to worry about the boats filling up.

The PO boats dock at DTD Marketplace. That's only about a 5 minute walk to T-Rex.

So if I have reservations at the Garden View Tea Room, what is the best possible way to get there from the Port Orleans Resort- Riverside? (I'm really very excited about these reservations, too!) :woohoo:

Take the bus to MK and then the boat to GF.

I tried to look through for an answer but couldn't find one - apologies if this is a repeat.

We're staying at All Star Sports and have a 7:50 ADR at Narcoosee's. Best way to get there - I'm thinking bus to DTD or MK, to GF, and back? Wishes is at 10pm that night. Is one way better than the other? Other options?

Thanks!

A bus to DTD seems to be out of the way so I'd bus to MK then boat or monorail to GF.

I've seen the criticism of the OLP transportation wizard/calculator, but I haven't seen this one discussed: wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/transportation/transportation1.cfm (sorry - haven't posted enough to include the link properly). Is it reliable? I'm not at all familiar with the routes so I can't easily judge. One that struck me as weird, though was the Animal Kingdom --> Hollywood Studios @ 1-2 hrs and the reverse of Hollywood Studies --> Animal Kingdom @ 20 mins. Really??!

Completely unreliable.

I have the app, and I've been told not to rely on it too much. However, I just typed in both routes you listed and they both are showing as 24 minutes for me.

What is the easiest way using disney transport to get from DHS to Downtown Disney? We want to open Hollywood studios, go to down town for lunch, then head back later...

Walk or take the boat to the Swan and Dolphin and then take the bus to DTD.

I just snagged Ohana breakfast at 7:50am on fri 2/7 for a total of 9 ppl. We are staying at POR. Within the group, we have one ecv, one infant (jogging stroller) & 2 young kids (double stroller).

Can we use WDW transportation for this and make it on time? If we took a cab is there room for the accompanying equipment?

Should I just give up and eat at the food court that a.m.? :-)

ETA: I forgot - in a cab would the infant require a car seat?

Yes. Children 3 and younger are required to be in car seats.

And with 9 people, you would need 2 cabs.

Each cab would cost about $15 to $20, plus tip.

You can make it with WDW transportation. The buses start running about 6:30 am. I would be out there waiting for the first bus.
