Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

If you remember, Jessica first saw Nikki in the reflective surface of the floor signage. When she ran down to the next floor she once again heard Nikki, looked at the signage and did not see her. Jessica then looked up and saw Nikki within the stairway itself... she was definately shocked at this.

I do not think it is just a "TV" thing... if that had been the issue then they would have just showed her in the signage again. Instead they purposely showed them as both in the stairwell. I think it was showing a gain in strength in the Nikki part of the personality and perhapse if she gets strong enough the personalities can split.

I do have a question... why don't they listen to you when you yell at them on the screen? I screamed at Mohinder when Sylar wanted to come with him. Did he listen? NOOOOO! :scared1:

My thoughts...

Sylar is so ewwwwwwwwwww. And Mohinder is a naive idiot to trust *anybody*. Also, the melting power...can people be melted or just inanimate objects?

IMO, Nikki & Jessica are not "personalities", Nikki's body is actually being 'possessed' by Jessica.

Claire's bio-mom was talking to Nathan about their daughter(Claire). I don't think she intended to ask for money at all, he just seemd to assume that's what she wanted. He offered 100K. Claire's bio-mom then told Claire that her daddy was giving the bio-mom $50,000 & she could split the 50K with Claire(therefore Claire then would only end up with $25,000).
Now we know that super-powers seem to run in Nathan's family(Nathan, Peter) + the bio-mom has them too...I just have to wonder about Nathan's mother/father. Has it ever come up if either of them have any powers?

Claire & Nikki's son are the only two I know of that are off-spring of two parents with powers. I wonder why Claire's adopto-dad didn't kidnap the little boy. Maybe he doesn't know about him yet?

Claire overheard some of Nathan & the bio-mom's conversation & threw that rock but Nathan didn't see her. I don't think she knows that bio-mom lied about the 100K.

Claire's adoptive mom has had her memories erased too many times, now she's lost it. Doesn't recognize anyone or even her dog. And what is up with the adoptive mom & that doctor visit? Did they ever say what the neurologist supposedly told the parents? It seemed to me that the adopt-mom probably has a tumor or something similar, I would say as a side-effect of all that memory-erasing.

agnes!

I'm pretty sure that adopt-o-mom never really went to a real doctor. I'm guessing she had an intensive brain-wiping session with the haitian that maybe wiped a little TOO much

Adopt-o-mom and adopt-o-dad? :confused3 Is that the way people are referring to adoptive parents these days? :sad2:

I don't think anyone says this IRL. Just helps differentiate Claire's moms and dads on the show. After all, I'm pretty sure nobody calls their biological parents "bio-mom" and "bio-dad" IRL:rotfl: .

I personally am using the term only to refer to the specific people on the show. I would never even think to say that to/about anyone IRL, and I apologize if it seems offensive.

As an adoptive Mom, I took no offense. I knew what you were doing and I think its a cute way to refer to them.

Just don't refer to me that way, please. ;)

Thanks for the apology. I didn't think you meant any offense by it, and as an adoptive mom myself, I know we need to differentiate sometimes.

I have no problem with "adoptive" mom or dad when it's necessary, it's just that "adopt-o" thing that sounded belittling to the adoptive parent/child relationship to me. Kind of like how many security guards hate the term "rent-a-cop".

Thanks again. :)

ETA: Sorry for going OT, everyone. Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion...

I agree that Claire's mom has had her memory erased too many times. So sad she is completely losing it. I wonder what's going to happen to her.

I agree that this "neurologist" was probably the haitian...I think Mr. Bennet is in way too far to take her to a real neurologist at this point in time. If the haitian wasn't involved (this time) and their really was a neurolgist then IMO she probably developed a variation of Alzheimers  as a result of the repeated memory wipes from the haitian...Just goes to prove that too much of anything can be bad...(Except the DIS of course :rolleyes1 )

PS. It's good to see that at least someone (Claire) has some ethics in that family!

Actually, they do. I was just talking to my sil on Monday and she said bio-mom. She's adopted and her bio-brother is getting married this summer. She uses the bio-relative (whatever relative she's talking about) all the time. I guess I should mention I'm an adoptive mom too. And I cringe every time I hear Claire says "real" mom or dad. I sure feel real. :guilty:

I agree. Mohinder is aware that people are being killed for their powers isn't he? At the very least, he should realize that his own father was killed because of his research. He should take more caution.

It is so weird, how does the tatoo appear? Jessica has a tatoo and Nikki doesn't. When it is jessica, the tatoo is there, like a birthmark. This is way more than split personality.

Glenda...you mean Nathan right? Peter's the younger bro.
Yes! I did! I knew it was Nathan - just checking to see if you could catch the mistake . . . :rolleyes1 :rolleyes2 :smooth:

Favorite Hero to Date: The Haitian (check out his website) or Mohinder.

hmmm, is it possible that "Jessica" is the only one that can see the tattoo but thinks others can see it

oopsie i'm a little late with my posting lol.

so when Sylar showed up at that other guy's apartment and said he was Mohinder i have to admit, i did an "oh s@$" lol. and then when Mohinder showed up and Sylar ANSWERED THE DOOR, i did the same thing!!

i'm sorry, but Mohinder bores me to death. i really don't know why. at least he wasn't really in this episode that much.

i wonder what the "bag" was all about with Hiro and Ando?? weird. "We not Chinese, we are Japanese!" i love that he did that! *squishes Hiro*

poor Claire. i feel bad for her. and her mom.....that poor woman. her memory has been messed with way too many times.

i still don't really like Nikki/Jessica. i think that whole story is just stupid. so, are they like, 2 seperate people now?? since Jessica saw Nikki on the stairs without a mirror? *is confused*

Favorite Hero to date: oh gosh....i can't pick, there's two. .....IssacPeter.....does that count as one? lol. seriously, i like them both.

Hey what's YOUR super power?

Ummm..I can melt household objects.

lol yeah when i saw that power i was thinking "wow, that's such a lame power. i'd hate to have that"

i think Peter's is the most interesting "power". and also the most "powerful" if you'll excuse the pun. everyone keeps talking about how Claire has the most power but i really think it's Peter that does.

and i love that Issac's eyes go white whenever he gets his "power". i don't know why....don't ask me.......i just do! popcorn::

My favorite Hero is Claude!! Even though he is new he is hilarious! And seriously, how cool would it be to be invisible?!?!

Interesting side note, the woman that plays Audrey also played an invisible girl in Buffy.
