Official "Heroes" discussion thread - Caution: Speculation and Potential Spoilers

She was impaled by the branch when she was "dead". When that was removed, she was miraculously awakened. I thought that was an interesting side note about her power and her weakness.

Yes that makes sense now. I missed the part about who removed the branch because I was in the other room. I thought she pulled it out herself. I re-played it last night and it makes sense now :thumbsup2

Memo to self:Do not do laundry while Heroes is on

I think the reason she "died" was because the stick or branch was preventing her from regenerating. Once it was removed, she was able to heal?

First, I hope you don't mind that I edited your post and changed the text of the spoiler to white. :) In some cases I don't mind spoilers but there may be those out there who want to wait. Needless to say, everyone, TV Guide had a spoiler about the true nature of Peter's powers, and it will make for an interesting twist.

As for Claire, where was the stick in her? Spine? Heart? Maybe if she has damage to a major organ like that it slows or prevents the regeneration process. Her power sounds like a cross between Wolverine's and the immortals on Highlander. I need to rewatch the ep.

It looked like the stick was in the base of her neck, up and under the skull (sort of behind the ear) :scared1:.

The stick was impaled into her head and thus would have impacted the brain area. Perhapse it impacted the part of her brain that controls her powers/abilities... a part of the brain normal human's have not accessed and used as of yet? Hmmmmmmmm

No problem! In fact, I thought about going back and trying to do just that and then I got busy with work and forgot...

Anyway, thanks for fixing it for me! :teeth:

It might not be just because it was stuck in her brain. Heroes could be taking the same route one of the comics (sorry graphic novels) DH has. I can't remember what it was, but the hero was invincable except when something impales him and is left in the body because it interrupts the blood flow and stops his body from being able to heal itself. Once the object is removed, the healing resumes.

can i just ask one question?? now....i love the show......don't get me wrong. i think it's great, i love shows like this.

but....what's up with the one girl's powers? the one that kills people? how is that supposed to "help with humanity"?? i don't think that going around with multiple personalities and killing people is really a great thing for the world.

and on another note on her, you think she killed her husbands "Gang" members??

Depends on who is killed and why.

I think it's great this show is dealilng with what so many other comic adaptations have not, the grim reality of what would happen if this was stuff was reality. I like that they are showing people get killed, complete with all it's ugliness.

The technicolor optimism on the other side borders on glurge. Villians do very bad things and they can't all be sent to jail or Arkham Asylum.

And I read in TV Guide that Peter's power is going to be (spoiler highlight to read)...snip....
Either way...whatever, it's all speculation so far and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds! :teeth:
I was thinking the exact same thing...which also goes along with the theory that he is *highlight*an empath

I too like the Indian hottie...

Just bumping this up for tonights show.

It was awesome. I wish it were twice as long.

Did she really hit the concrete wall??? Or was it just a dream or thought???

I really think she hit the wall. Next week looks really interesting!!

I think that the congressman will "go bad" and I think the Indian guy is Hot, too :groom: (I picked this smiley b/c I don't know what to pick)

I do love this show, though.

Just need to settle something: I'm sure I saw someone from Gilmore Girls(am I right?)

Yes, you did. The young man that was in the subway while everyone else was frozen. He's the one that dreams about flying.

So, Peter is able to assume the power of the person with whom he is present? Did I get that right? Didn't he say something about being able to see the future when he was with Isaac?

Pretty cool that Hiro has been hanging around from time span to time span that he can now speak English. I was amazed that he didn't have a thick accent when he spoke in English.

Oh, and Mohinder  made me mad when he was ready to throw in the towel last night. I screamed at the TV, "you wimp!"

So, let's also get this straight... who found Claire when the QB killed her? Why weren't her parents notified? Why was she taken into an autopsy so fast... before her picture could even be posted on the news as a Jane Doe? I hate when TV takes such liberties that wouldn't happen. You know, because levitation, mindreading, teleportation, etc., are so real and plausible. ;)

I think it's funny how we're all crushing on Mohinder  But dang...I hear that voice and I just melt.

Now I liked last night's show the best so far. It's finally all coming together...sort of...

ETA: Wait a minute...I just realised...Future Hiro...he'd obviously been around long enough to learn to speak English fluently and without an accent. Yet he hadn't aged :confused3 ? Or didn't look like he had...

I agree.
