I don't see any indication that he cheats on her. I don't think she would stick around if he did. Looks to me like it's all show, he just likes to keep up his image.

The one part of the show I didn't like was when Shannon did not like the gothic-inspired family pictures. She seemed so grouchy. lol
Yes, it was last minute on his part, but it was so unique. He made it up to her, I guess, by buying her a new sportscar.
They make a good couple, though, that's for sure... and they are all too funny!

Yes, I thought she over reacted to that whole thing, so did Sofie.

Its so weird that Sophie is like her Mom and Nick like Dad. Nick is silly like Gene although I do not think he will be like Gene with the ladies. Sophie is like her Mom and demands to be treated like a lady. Love that!

Had to say..I LOVE GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS!

I tivo'd the first ep because I wasn't sure I'd like it. I like some KISS music, but mostly because my parents told me not to.

But I have fallen head over heels in love with this show..especially little Nicky. Well ok. NOT SO LITTLE Nick. They all seem so well balanced and down to earth for a rock star family. And Gene is a hoot..he always cracks me up.

I think the funniest thing so far was on the bull semen episode where Shannon and Tracy (her sister) go shopping. "It's free..it's on Gene's credit card!"

If you google him, you can see where he claims to have slept with 4,800 women in the last 30 years and he supposedley has a Poloraid of every one of them. So obviously it doesn't bother her. He is very open about his sexual life. Also I believe she used to be a porn star so maybe that is why it doesn't bother her. But I would hate my dad if he did that to my mother. His kids don't seem to mind.

Count me in as a fan also!! I think that the bragging about the number of women Gene has been with is for image only. He probably had a lot of fun before he met Shannon, but I get the feeling that she would not tolerate him sleeping around. He seems to be so commited to her and his kids that I can't see him jeopardizing that with a breakup.

I don't think she would put up with cheating. She's a strong woman on her own. I get the feeling that the womanizing was pre-sharron and is flaunted to keep up his rock star image. His kids seem to grounded and happy to be in a home where that kind of chaos was going on.

I too love this show - and I am so impressed by his kids...especially if you compare them to Ozzy Osbourne's spoiled brats (esp. Jack).

On the episode where he goes to the Hooters Casino opening in Vegas he said something to the effect of "...have to live up to the rock star image" with girls hanging off of him...I took that to mean it was pretty much an act. I'm sure back in the early days he was wilder, but I agree that Shannon (A good Canadian girl BTW) wouldn't put up with too much crap.

I also loved it when she said (when talking about the first time she met KISS) "I actually thought Paul was cuter!"

Okay, so I watched it for the first time last night (they were probably repeats?)...Gene is a complete dork. He still skeeves me out, though.

I found it to be a lot like Ozzy, only coherent. And the kids aren't mopey.
