**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

We could have walked into the 10:30 sing-along show, but I still don't feel confident enough we'd make the parade in time, so we kept walking.

So I've been back and forth over this in my head and decided to give it to the experts :) Do you think it will be necessary to have a FP+ for the sing-along? I've been reading that wait times for everything are down in Sept. so I shouldn't have a problem waiting standby. My only hesitation is that we are going to HS on a Sunday. Do you think the weekends will be more crowded because of the PP and fireworks? If I trade it out it'll probably be for Star Tours which will probably be useless as well. Someone give me some peace of mind as I am driving myself crazy with our first visit with FP+. :crazy2:

Not an expert as haven't done it yet, but we are going on a Friday in sept and changed Star Tours to the singalong. Heard standby was often shorter than FP on Star Tours and this way I know I have the show time I want fitting in my other FP selections and ADRs.

I also changed my Star Tours to the sing-a-long.
I sure don't want to take any chances if by some chance my Friday at HS is busy and I miss out on the sing-a-long that works in our plans :goodvibes

I wonder why Disney isn't confirming that at least the singalong is going to be continued? I'm helping multiple friends plan their October trips, and I'm just waiting to get them a FP for the singalong - assuming it's continued. It's almost mid September and nothing beyond September. Do you think it's possible that it won't be continued, even with all the rumours around? :confused3

My best guess is it may go dark for a few weeks while they move the show into the AI building. But that's just a guess.

Of course, unless they have announced, it's always possible that it won't be continued. Also what the above poster said, that there may be a transition period. It's encouraging what's out there, but it's not definite.

Coming Oct 19th....so hope they don't do that. We missed out on free dining (we're right in the blackout period). Would be a bummer if we are also in the blackout period for Frozen sing along. And we so carefully selected our week many months ago, but turns out it may not have been the best week.
But of course...we're all in the dark with what they are deciding and are just speculating. Wish they would just tell us, one way or another.

You've got Food and Wine and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Trust me, your trip will be fabulous.

I hope you enjoy your day!

Thank you! We were just there for the morning and had a lovely time. Best part of today was Anna asking ds if he wanted to build a snowman. That was so sweet. And he answered back, "yes, of course!!" Elsa winked. They told us to stay warm. The rest of the parade was special too. Almost felt like they knew we were saying good-bye. Most interactive the performers have ever been!

It will be necessary to EITHER have a FP+ or a Return Ticket. It is more convenient, but NOT necessary to have the FP+. It will save you an extra trip to the Premiere Theater to pick up a ticket.

The weekends will definitely be more crowded than the weekdays. However, overall, things are very slow right now.

Each time I walked by Star Tours this morning it was a 5 minute wait. Not sure what the weekend will be like though.

I also changed my Star Tours to the sing-a-long.

You definitely don't want to miss the sing-along!

Typically, Disney is very careful with making announcements.

When I was there today, I asked a lot of questions. The cm haven't been told anything, but were definitely aware of the rumors, and I heard more rumors today than what I had read online.

That's certainly possible. In that case, Oaken's may go dark for a time too, if that rumor is correct?

It wouldn't make sense to hire actors Aug 28 and 29 for only 1 month. Though I guess that could be possible. But more likely the sing-along will continue.

When we were at the parade today, I told the cm we were there to bid it farewell. One said he really hopes it continues. He was aware that the floats and "stuff" were needed elsewhere, but he was hopeful something would be worked out. I hope so too!

Ha ha...didn't mean to sound 'greedy'. Of course we'll have an amazing time. Sooooo looking forward to it as are our kids. And really can't complain as after much persistence, I managed to get A&E FP for DD5 (but jealous of DH as he gets to take her). As for the above, skipping Food & Wine with our kids but we are going to MNSSHP.
Just an impatient person and want to know one way or another. And DD did see the sing along on youTube, so would be bonus if we could go...but it's not like it was even supposed to extend past the summer so can't complain.

I really hope they decide to at least extend the sing-along!!

With AIE closing ( I know many didn't like it, but the finale show became a staple for our family) and no more Frozen, DHS might become a 1/2 day park for us--- unless we decide to ride everything twice and stay for Fantasmic each time we go.

Even though we are going in September and will be able to experience the FSF, I have to agree with you about DHS becoming a 1/2 day park (at least until the Star Wars expansion). With only being able to get 1 FP for the headliner rides and then all the FP's for those rides being gone in the early afternoon what is there to keep you around for a full day? A 1/2 day PM and staying for Fantasmic will be plenty until the expansion.

Yep--- we go down for 10 days for thanksgiving , and looks like this year we are going to spend a day at Universal-- which we usually avoid due to the cost ( we are disney ap holders)

Between AK being a 1/2 for us ( can't wait for their expansion!! -- looking forward to the nighttime show more than Avatar!! Hoping its something like "Mermaids, Myths..." That used to be at sea world!!) and now DHS looking like the same, going to have to explore other options-- we spend a ton of time at Epcot for "CP" but now we can't even look forward to the WS entertainment !!

AK has amazing potential!!

September 27th will probably be very busy at DHS. It's Dapper Days. We went to Dapper Days last spring at the MK. It was a lot of fun. Everyone dresses dapper. It should look great at DHS. Expect many people at the Great Movie Ride at 6pm. Other than that, you'll just see people dressed to the 9's and enjoying their day.

I've never heard of Dapper Days. We'll be at WDW on Sept 27th. Is there someplace to read about it?
