**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

SO if my ressie for the singalong is 10-1015, and I want to head to the parade straight after, can you please suggest to me where we should run to catch it? I would really appreciate it!!

LovethatTink, thank you for this thread.

We did the premium party on August 30. I liked where we saw the parade. Treats were good, and they let us take bottles of water after the parade. At the sing a long, we were seated in the third row, and we arrived about 20 minutes before start. Well, 10 minutes before start, the whole second row was filled with not premium guests. The CM said that since not all premium showed, they opened the row up to non premium guests. Had I known that, I might have shown up right at the last minute. Many in my row were mad that we should have had the second row seats instead of first filling the third row seats. For me, knowing I had a close seat ticket, it was worth the package price.

I agree, the hat did distract during the fireworks, but we moved back to the far corner of the roped off area, and that did help. We got there about 8pm, and they were serving the food and drinks. Since the fireworks did not start until 9:15, my teen kids did several rides coming and going from the roped area while I sat on the ground and talked with a nice mom to pass the time.

Would I buy this premium package again? Probably not, but it did make the day easier in some ways.

Every time I get an update about this thread in my inbox, I keep hoping the subject line will change to, 'EXTENDED THRU DEC' or something like that! ;) Fingers crossed!!

Me too, lol.

The only place where you might possibly be able to catch it is near the Backlot Express. But you will have to know your way to get there, because you won't have much time. And if the show starts late, it will be really tough. Also a rope goes up in front of Star Tours blocking pedestrian traffic for the parade. So you'll need to get there before the rope goes up. Or watch from behind the rope.

LovethatTink, thank you for this thread.

You're welcome

Glad you had a good experience. So nice to get that extra bottle of water after.

At the sing a long, we were seated in the third row, and we arrived about 20 minutes before start.

Well, 10 minutes before start, the whole second row was filled with not premium guests. The CM said that since not all premium showed, they opened the row up to non premium guests. Yes, I have mentioned this a few times throughout the thread. It's possible for the last person in the house to end up with one of the best seats as they fill in all available space.

I have also mentioned seeing people with the premium package show up AFTER the return window and not being able to be seated in the theater for their show time. They were advised to go to the standby line to see if they can get a seat or to exchange their return ticket for another show.

You're right though. For the package, there is no reason to show up earlier than the return window for the show. You are guaranteed a seat in the 3rd, 4th or 5th rows. And once that return window closes, the remaining seats get filled in.

The 1st and 2nd rows are saved for guests that need accommodations and someone on this thread also said VIP. There are 4 spaces for w/c and each w/c is allowed 5 guests. If there are any empty seats in those two rows; they get filled in the same way. The remaining spaces for ECV/WC for people who aren't able to transfer is the very last row before the bleachers.

My son usually stays in his chair. So whether we are first in or last we know we'll end up in either the first or last row. Each has it's benefits. In the back of the theater you get the whole effects of the show. When Elsa works her magic it's just amazing to see from the back!! I'd like to try 1st row of the bleachers some time. I know I got great pictures from back there with my zoom lens during SWW.

When I was there a couple weeks ago, all 4 spaces in the front row were filled with very tall people on ECV. I don't think the people behind them could see. At least my son's chair sits low so he's actually lower than the standard theater chairs. Though in the back it puts him at a disadvantage of being lower than the theater seats. He's lucked out each time back there with children in front of him!

Sounds like a very nice day! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Can you change either your FP+ time or the lunch ADR?

Your FP+ time and reservation for lunch make it nearly impossible to see the parade. Your sing-along won't end until just before 11, it starts at 10:25. The tail end of the parade goes by the Backlot Express around 11:10 and is over around 11:15. Then you'd be late for your ADR.

Keep in mind there is a detour of pedestrian traffic due to the parade. So areas will be roped off just before the parade arrives until the parade passes.

If I go to H&V directly after the Singalong, will the parade route go by there? If I could watch it there, then walk into H&V at 11:10, that would be great. We would just miss the last 5 minutes. I am trying to get a later H&V reservation, but haven't found anything yet. Any suggestions on what Frozen activity I should hit at park opening? We have a star tours FP+ from 9-10 and TSMM from 11:55-12:55. We definitely want to get to Oaken's too.

The parade route goes on Hollywood BLVD. If you could get there (Hollywood Blvd) by 11 at the very latest you could see it from Hollywood blvd close to H&V. But the sing-along is 30 minutes. I remember it being 20 minutes in the beginning but it is now listed as 30 minutes in the times guide.

Great, thanks. If I stand on the same side as H&V should I be good? Or will I not be able to get there b/c the road will be closed due to the parade?

I don't know if you will be able to get there. I know how to get from the park entrance back to the Backlot Express despite the ropes. But I have never tried it heading the opposite direction.

Your show starts at 10:30. It will be over at 11 (it's now 30 min). There is no way you would make it in time to anywhere before the hat on the parade route to see it. You might if you book it make it to the Star Tours area. Because it doesn't go by there til around 11:10. But it's only a 5 minute parade.

It would make it easier if they moved it to the old AIE theater by then :)

ITA with this. There is no way possible you will be able to watch the parade at 11:00 by going to the 10:30 singalong. You'll be letting out of the Premiere Theatre at 11:00. The parade is only 5 minutes long, and there is no way you can get from the Premiere Theatre to anywhere near Hollywood Blvd in 1-2 minutes without teleporting yourself. You could watch the end of the processional in front of Star Tours, which the procession passes by at 11:15ish, but you're going to be stuck in that small area with the 1000+ other people that are at your singalong. The issue isn't your H&V reservation, it's the 10:30 singalong. If you did a later singalong, you would have time for the parade and your H&V reservation, no problem (provided that you will watch on the "right" side of the parade route). It would take you less than a minute (literally) to walk from Hollywood Blvd to H&V. With a 10:30 singalong, you're going to be late for the 11:10 ADR because there is simply no way to get from the theatre to the restaurant, and you're not likely to see the processional at all because you'll be stuck in a mass of people trying to rush to the parade just like you.

Thanks - there is an earlier singalong but I heard there is no FP+ for it. To get that one, should we just go straight there when the park opens?

It would.

Can you change your FP+ time? If not maybe you can pick up a Return Time ticket if they are still doing that when it's your DHS day. The cm seemed to think that might change, but as of yesterday they were still giving out tickets.

That show time and the 11:25 show time are tough ones. We saw the 11:25 yesterday and tried to figure out a way to see the parade first. But gave up and got a treat at the writer's stop before our sing-along

The next available FP+ time is 2:20, but the show is later than that. We wanted to be to EPCOT for Food & Wine by then.

Good catch lovethattink! You are absolutely right! The first Frozen sing-a-long is the 10:30 show.

My only hope is that the venue moves to AIE by then! I'm crossing my fingers! Or we'll just have to be casually late to our H&V ADR.

You can always use the excuse that you got caught by the parade:rotfl:
It's the truth!!:lmao:

I just noticed that we will be checking in at Disney World on the same date!
Our trip is 9/24 thru 10/1! WOO HOO! Can't wait!

Have a great trip!
