**Official Frozen Sing-Along, Oaken's, Holiday Premium Package Tips, updated 1/5/15

Can someone give me a review of the Premium Welcome Parade viewing area? Is it advantageous for both the parade and the stage? Or is there a bias? Also, I heard that Kristoff can be best viewed from one particular side, and I'm interested to know if you can get good pics from the Premium viewing area (Kristoff fan here!). Anyone?

Yesterday, it seemed as if Kristoff kept waving to his right even though he was at the front of the float. I'm sure he was told to correct his "waves" to include both sides of the parade route.

Are the magic bands selling out?

This morning I was told that they had plenty and would be selling them for quite some time unlike the LE Star Wars bands.

BTW, Make sure you have the pass of the user you are purchasing it for. I did not have my daughters with me so I was out of luck.

I was going to have somebody pick them up for me next week for our trip in August. Can they buy them and then I can activate them myself?

No, they only will sell the MagicBands to a guest if:
- guest has tickets that will be linked to MB
- guest has Memory Maker that can be linked
- guest has a MagicBand that can be linked to the newly purchased MB.

Because CMs cannot link their passes to MDE, they were unable to purchase SWW Bands unless one of the above three things applied to them. No one can randomly purchase a MB.

I guess that's good. Less of a chance of people buying them and then reselling on eBay, for 3x there worth. I'll have to wait till I get there to get them. Just hope they still have them, mid August.

If you get a rope spot, it's advantageous for the parade. Firework viewing is better elsewhere. We arrived at the park today after 10 and got front row for parade not with the package.

So, if we did the package, how realistic is it to think we could enjoy the dessert party, and then go stand elsewhere to watch the fireworks? Is it likely by the time we went to get a spot there wouldn't be anything available?

You could easily move closer to Min and Bill's or go to in front of Prime Time.

For the last SWW fireworks of the event, we left Brown Derby less than 30 minutes before the fireworks and found great, uncrowded spots at Prime Time. It's hard to see what is on the AI screen but you can clearly hear the fireworks soundtrack.

From the videos I saw yesterday, the parade definitely looked better than the "Royal Welcome." Where did you scope out a spot? Did you just stand/sit there until the parade started?

As for the fireworks, again based on the video the stage show looked kind of cool even though it limited your view of the fireworks. Where do you think is the best spot for this and what time do you think you need to show up for that?

Debating whether or not to cancel my Fantasmic Dining ADR to do the fireworks and then just catch the 10:00 pm show. Not sure my kids will make it! Decisions, decisions...

These fireworks are different than SWW fireworks. For SWW, there was a character preshow. For Frozen Fireworks, the characters appear before and in between fireworks. We stood all the way in the back of the package area along the railing for the package, (where stroller parking was for the parade.) We caught glimpses of the characters, but mostly our view was blocked by trees or people. Same for the fireworks, our view was mostly obstructed.

The area was also smaller than for SWW FTF package. So more "regular guests" fit in the front viewing area for the evening show.

Yesterday we did the package so were on that side of the rode. I got a picture of him waving. Today we stood on the opposite side of the parade and got him waving.

You should be able to eat desserts and beverages, then go elsewhere to view the fireworks. Though with the characters on stage, I'm not sure if you'd want to.

Tonight if it stops storming, we are going to try to watch the show along echo lake. It's been off and on storms this afternoon.

I have the premium package for my Aug.12th visit and I also have the Fantasmic dinner package which is for the 9:00 show..can I make it to the fireworks dessert party in time after fantasmic?..did anyone experience this yesterday?

Fantasmic is close to 30 minutes in length. Unloading from the amphitheater and getting to the dessert area will take another 10 minutes. You would miss most of the dessert party and possibly some of the fireworks' show.

For the package, we took the closest available spot we could find at the rope. Today, without the package, we picked a spot near the beginning of the parade.

Yesterday I sat until it started, then every one stood up. And I did too. Today I sat for the whole parade, so did dh and ds. We were in an area where feet were not allowed off the curb. So it was "criss-cross applesauce" for most people in our viewing area who sat.

The best spot for this would be front row in the non-package area, right up at the stage. Those people were there when the dance party was happening. The premium package is behind them and to the left facing the hat.

Our dessert package was inside the Playhouse Disney attraction. So we were spoiled with air conditioning! It was a great set-up. They should house it there every night!

The people sharing our dessert table said they wished they hadn't eaten a big dinner. We had lunch at 3pm and didn't eat dinner before the desserts. So we were hungry. The desserts were wonderful and plentiful.
