Ami, sorry about your allergy. Im sure it will be a challenge to give up soy but hopefully it will make you feel better. Being swollen is no fun. I received lovely news from my Dr this week too. I have 3 sebaceaus cysts in my head. One of them is infected, so that means antibotics. then they're going to remove 2 of them on the 29th. He informed me they will have to dig one of them out. Wish he had used a better term. I already have a headache. Not to mention the hair is falling off the one thats infected. I'm trying not to be vain and remind myself that cancer patients don't have any hair. He said it should grow back. Mean time my Dh and kids are having a ball with it. I'll be wearing my hair up for awhile. I think it would be harder for me to give up food though.

Wow! I had no idea! I'll be away when you have the surgery, so I'll have to bring you a casserole before I leave! Up-do's are very becoming! Nevertheless, I hope your hair grows quickly enough for you and that your headaches get better soon!

Ami, your so sweet. You worry about your trip instead of making casseroles. They are doing it in the office so its probably not a big deal. Johnny will take care of me here. I have him trained. Oh, i worded that wrong i meant the thought of him digging it out gives me a headache.(sorry that was supposed to be a joke) No headaches since the antibotics kicked in. I'm good!!

Sorry to hear about this, don't worry about your hair it will grow back super fast, I actually had something like this done two years ago and wouldn't you know one place was right in the top part of my head whenever my hair started growing back everyone would stare at the patches of spiked hair ended up to be nothing at all so hang in there, do what you gotta do and get it over with. I have to vent....

I've been having some kind of weird symptoms lately....well, for awhile really. The doc thought it sounded like food allergies, so I went through some testing. I am allergic to soy. This really sucks! First of all, I love soy! A lunch for me is a bowl of Edamame cover in red wine vinigar! I had planned veggie burgers for dinner last night~soy! I eat a lot of Tofu, too. I'm bummed. I got even more bummed last night when I went to the store to find a soy free dinner. Everything has soy lechtin, or soy flour or soy oil in it! I ate a grilled portabello mushroom with tomato and lettuce last night. No bun...it had soy in it! I had black bean bisque for breakfast. I about broke down when I saw the soy sauce in the store!!!! How can I eat sushi without soy sauce??????

The good news is, I will definitely loose weight because I can't eat anything but fruit, veggies and plain yogurt!

On a good note, today we are celebrating Mothers Day because last Sunday I had to work and just was not in the mood. So my DS's bought me........

A WII SYSTEM and I am getting a Wii Fit!

I'm so excited! They are setting it up right now and we are going to play the games that came with it and on Wednesday I will get the Wii Fit. I will let you know how it works when I get it. God, I love my boys!

I think I'm going to join Curves. There's one just down the street and I have a friend that goes there. She's only been going for 3 weeks, and she already sees a difference in the way her clothes fit!

I used to work there as a fitness technition (sorry....it still cracks me up to call myself that!)

If you go religiously 3-4 times a week and work at it (some people use it as social time and gab more than they exercise ) than you will see very real results!!!!!

actually, Mr smarty pants....the bun has soy! I have been relagated to making my own bread now because I can't find store bought soy-free bread. I will be eating much more naturally now.....

Well, I just did my first podcast of the Couch to 5K and I have one word for it:
EVIL!
Pure and simply evil! I will be reaping the benefits of it tomorrow
I didn't make it the last 10 minutes...had to go at a leisurely pace and no inclines at that point. Heart rate was over 175 by then and I was sweating like a stuck pig. The good thing about these podcasts (so far), I only have to do it 3 times a week. I will still be doing my bike on the other days.
