***OFFICIAL February 2025 Thread***

So if we have park hoppers, would you recommend visiting those parks in the morning? Are they likely to be super quiet?
I don't know if HS will be super quiet in the morning on that cheerleader party day, but I would definitely avoid HS at night. In general, if a park has extra late hours, it will have a bigger crowd than a park that closes early.

Oh, I'll definitely avoid parks that have any sort of party or event if I'm aware of it! Sounds like it's not worth making a specific effort to go earlier in the day though, thanks 😊

My DW and I are going on our first "couple trip" (i.e. without the kids) Feb. 4-9th. Currently booked for CBR, though watching for possible discounts to upgrade to a Crescent Lake resort. Primarily coming for our first EPCOT festival with FARTS, as well as revisit some favorites and see some of the new stuff. I haven't been since January '23, and there's a bunch of new stuff--like no (or much fewer) construction walls in EPCOT!

We just booked our flights and hotel, so I can officially join this group! My boyfriend and I will be at Sheraton Vistana Villas from February 8th to the 15th.

I'm glad I checked this thread because we were planning on going to HS on the 9th. We might need to rethink that plan if there is a cheer celebration there that day.

Got you both added to the master list. Let me know if any changes are made and I'll update things on the list.

Some groups in February:

Jan 31 - Feb 2: National Dance Team Championship
Accommodations at All Stars/Coronado
Event page mentions a Sunday night celebration party in HS, and Friday night extended hours in Epcot

Feb 7-10: National Highschool Cheerleading Championship
Accommodations at All Stars/Pop/Coronado/
Carribean Beach/Animal Kingdom Lodge/Delta Celebration
Event page mentions a Sunday night celebration party in HS, and Friday night extended hours in Epcot

With the large number of hotels the cheerleading event looks to be a big one!

Wow, this is the first year I've seen them at AKL. On our flight down in February of this year our plane was filled with a cheer squad that is about an hour away from us so somewhat local. Those girls were incredible respectful the entire flight. It was nice getting to chat with the young lady that sat next to us. But as a past cheer mom myself, teams like this don't bother me unless they are being disrespectful. I don't think there would be anything to worry about with 90% of the dance and cheer teams but there are some who take advantage of the "freedom" they are given on trips like this and are rude but that goes for some people in general. My trip is sandwiched between the events so I am sure I may see some of both arriving early or leaving later.

I am 2nd-8th so also sandwiched. I am not going to stress about it. The crowd levels as a whole are still on the lower side - 5s and 6s mostly - I will just avoid DHS or EPCOT on the dates Griffin 11 mentioned .

Side note - I did get the discount applied and saved some $$ .

I also got the discount applied and saved on my two AOA nights. Which is great because flights are not looking as nice as they usually do so far…

Just jumping on to see how everyone is doing. I am at 111 days away and still in limbo. The boring part of the waiting game.

I am a little sad that Big Thunder will be closed . Not going to change my trip because of it but still bummed . I am 109 so looks like we will be there the same time .

106 days for me - agreed that this is the boring part of the waiting game! Wish I could do some more planning, but not really much I can do at this stage but wait.

104 days for us. All quiet on the WDW front at the moment, but I'm very busy with wedding plans (which is in 86 days!) so I'm ok with that lol! Also saddened by the closure of BTM - was really hoping we'd just get there in time. I'm pretty aware that we should expect a fair bit of construction and closures though, so we'll just enjoy what we can.

Yep - in that same liminal space at 112 days: have hotel, flight booked, but cannot see park hours/etc. yet to lock in a plan for the week--and still quite some time until restaurant reservations...

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! A wedding AND a Disney trip is a lot of excitement and a lot of planning.

Also bummed about BTM being closed.

Still waiting on booking our flights because prices just still seem a little too high but I’m checking them frequently.

Yeah flights on southwest were higher than I normal pay when I booked but knew I could get points back if the price dropped. They haven't though. This is the first time I have ever paid over $100.00 (except I use points) for a flight down to Disney. Even the flight home is usually only a few dollars over $100 but this time they were both $166.00 when I booked.

I decided to go ahead and book our flights out there because they are $108 which isn’t bad although I’m still hoping they drop below $100.
Our return flights on the 11th are still all over the place. I keep checking the prices and it fluctuates from $150-$600+ 😅
Meanwhile the 12th is $108 so maybe we should just stay an extra day…. Disney math 😂

We're going the last week of Feb and the flights are not less than $400 round trip which is too expensive for RDU to MCO. I'm watching it, but we may end up driving if I can't get them for $275 or less.

SWA flights have been very high but our flight home in Feb dropped to $116. I booked that one and will wait for more sales before buying the flight to MCO.

That's my kind of math :rolleyes1
