We are surprising our kids with their first ever trip (DH's first too). We are announcing our Feb. trip on Christmas Day, so I don't want to have the MB sent to our house if I can avoid it.

I had no idea we were eligible to customize now, but checked today, and we are

If I have them shipped to DH's work, will that cause any foreseeable issues?

Hi all, after reading the last few posts, I went to MDE and guess what? We are picking our MagicBand colors! Our check in date is February 28. Now I just can't wait to get a BOG lunch res.

Yes! Waiting for the BOG lunch reservations to be released!!!!

I was able to customize bands today. Will do later when kids go to Grandmas for the night. We are surprising them with the trip in Feb. Also how to you get a BOG fast pass, or reservation for lunch?

There is a special website for it. You use the number that comes on your luggage tags as your id but they haven't release dates for February BOG yet. There are multiple thread on DIS if you search.

We customised our MBs yesterday. I chose red and Mum pink. Then we plan to buy some little charm things for it and decorate the bands when we get there- Mum has her eye on the jewel like Mickey heads.

Woohoo - just saw this thread! We're heading down (we live near St. Augustine) for 10 days at Bonnet Creek Feb 21-March 2. This will be our 2nd trip as a whole family - DH & I, DS11, DD7, DS5 & DS2 (almost 3). We went for 6 days last year and are really looking forward to the extra days this year - 2 whole days in each park! We're also getting APs for the 1st time, and I'm crossing my fingers that we'll ba able to do fp+ w/magic bands, even though we're staying offsite. I'm not really expecting it, just hoping.

ok so I just went to the BOG lunch reservation site and logged in and put in my reservation number.. it gave all the members in my party and even asked if there was a special occasion that we're celebrating.. My dates were there when we 're in WDW... I picked a date and it said no fastpasses are available for the date I choose..

So, is it to early to fastpass or did they already sell out!!?

FP+ opens at 60 days although some can get into Epcot earlier than that. I have not yet been able to but many others can. That is the only park that has been reported that you can get into earlier than the 60 days.

I talked to a CM about this same thing the other day and she said that BOG FP+ doesn't follow the same 60 day rule. She said its in a different reservation system and that the dates become available when Disney decides to release the tables she said that it is sometimes less than 60 days and sometimes more and that it could be at any time of day. She said the only way to be 1st is to be vigilant. I have been watching January group threads too and they aren't able to book yet either so it is my guess that if you start looking everyday at the 70ish day mark you'll catch it. Of course this is all based on one CMs information. This is my plan though based on the info I received. That and watching the DIS boards because the minute someone gets a BOG FP+ it'll be on here!

BOG FP+ is a different system. It doesn't count against your 3 FP+ each day. Also, I'd be careful about booking EPCOT early. It's a glitch and I've read reports from people who did it and then tried to add other parks/ dates later or change their EPCOT FP+ and either the didn't show in MDE or it caused interference with planning other FP+. Lots of people dealing with IT on their 60 day mark when the system opened to them because they did that. Everyone had to make their own choice but that's one glitch that may not work in your favor in the long run.

You are right, this is one of those areas Disney apparently doesn't want to open up to equal access apparently. Hopefully this all is part of testing too and they eventually will open it on MDE for fast pass. No one really knows what their intentions are with this- sometimes I think even Disney by the response I've gotten about it from CMs. All that aside, currently, it can be accessed by the be our guest lunch reservation website. You use your all numerical reservation number (starts with a 4 off luggage tags or MDE site under reservations prior to pay off) to access the page. Currently dates for January and February have not been released. It is all speculation as to when they will be since BOG FP+ Isn't part of regular FP+ on MDE. I hate to say it but BOG may eventually be integrated with regular FP or done away with all together in a moment without notice- since it is technically supposed to be by invite (although accessible by all with reservation number), they can do whatever they want with it. So all we can do is hope dates are released and keep a watchful eye. Even if we end up not being able to get BOG FP+ it is still open for lunch by wait. From what I've seen posted on DIS the longest I've heard of someone waiting is 45 minutes. It's not great but it'll do! Try not to get frustrated, it just puts stress into your magical Disney vacation that ruins the magic. Where there is a will, there is a way, with some patience. Hope that helps some.

That is absolutely up to you! Straight to table requires you to decide what you want to eat for everyone in your party at the time you make your FP+ reservation. Expedited just get you past the "rose" waiting time, then you order inside at a kiosk. Hope you get your FP+ you are hoping for

Thanks for clearing that up.. I didn't know what the difference between the two was..

Now how can someone better their chance of getting an invitation? I know it's through email, but I'm never lucky..

And, now that you mention it, I need to buy more luggage!
