Official Fan of DDP

We used it this time for the first time and LOVED it! I will never go back without using the DDP. Hassle free and more food than you can eat. When they rang up our first CS meal, I knew the DDP would pay for itself. One CS meal was over $43.00. WOW! Anyway, we loved it and are now major fans of the DDP!

My family loved the plan also. While a lot of people seem to have problems with it, we had none at all during our trip in December.

Love to see positive comments, we love it, and nearly have always participated in some form of it. The sticker shock is completly removed, and DH always has a better time knowing everything is already taken care of.

As a side note, in January, as an experiment, just the two of us went, without the plan, ate where we would normally, ate half the ammount we could have on the plan, and spent roughly $150 more in the 7 days than the plan would have cost. Great experiment, and verified what we already knew, GREAT VALUE!

We're using it for the first time, and I'm very excited. I too think that it's a great value if you get all your TS meals (ADR's) taken care of before the trip.

it really is a great deal. we took advantage of free dining in 2005 and were able to eat at places we wouldnt have even considered paying OOP. last year we went back without it and regretted it, because we tried to budget ourselves and ended up having mostly CS meals, which is okay, but TS is much better. we're going back this year and paying for the DDP (hoping for free DDP, but may not be likely for our dates), but that goes to show that we are big fans of DDP and i dont think we will go back without it even if we have to pay for it every time.

We too are big fans. We did it for the first time in September 2005 during the free ddp. Then in May 2006 DVC members could add it to their ressies. I told the CM that I had used it free and it's a great deal and was a great promotion and she agreed that that was exactly Disney's intention to show us what a great deal it is. Since free DDP in September 2005, I used it in May 2006, free again in August 2006, paid for it in October 2006, paid for it February 2007 and will be using it again next month when I arrive April 29 (12 nights). Even my adult kids are convinced that it's a great deal.

I agree with everyone. I will never do Disney again without the DDP. I like being able to order whatever I want on the menu without worrying about the price. And I like not having to figure out who owes what on the bill. It's just so convenient.

Obviously this is where the fans are!! We are thinking about going on the Disney plan for our trip for Easter. Our concern, is not the cost but eating a table service meal almost everyday. With the heat and having such a big meal, we are just worried that it will make us tired and uncomfortable.

I loved having a TS meal everyday. It was nice to sit down for a while and just relax. We usually planned our meals for the evening, so we really looked forward to that at the end of the day.

I say do it and plan your TS meals for supper and that will give you a chance to sit down, cool off and relax after a long hot day at the parks. One thing we realized is that if you have young children and do all the character meals, you won't have to wait in line for many autographs or pictures which will free up a lot of your time at the parks.
