Have a reservation on August 18th for Oga's and reservations for August 19th and 21st for Lamplight lounge that I will be unable to attend. Anyone interested please let me know and I will try to coordinate.

If anyone has a Lamplight lounge for evening time between August 13th-18th they don't want any more please let me know! I'd love to coordinate if possible.

Just got my waitlist DVC for Grand Californian end of Aug (been waitlisted for months, didn't think it was going to happen so I booked a regular room). Now moving from our standard room to DVC studio. Feels like I hit the DVC lottery!

I was just reading the thread of lack of reservations for AP holders in the last 2 weeks of August. Does that mean it will be extra crowded? We will be there on August 19th and are preparing for regular summer crowds. Would this be worse?

My last day is the 19th and like you, the week I'm there is all sold out for AP holders. I'm mentally preparing for large crowds

My last day as well. I wasn't planning on buying Genie + but maybe now I should consider it. I have used it at WDW and hated it.

Me too. And I was hoping it would be a slower time of the summer. Had no idea about this.

I'm hoping maybe the local APs will be going at night during the weekdays (from East Coast so have no idea of local AP patterns). Or that the reservations for APs are really limited or will offset the decline of regular ticket holders.

However, I do wonder if Disney expects lower crowds around August 8. That's when they start all the extras.

I was hedging my bets that with kids going back to school the influx of AP holders would balance each other out. During my week ( 12-18th in the parks ) only the 2nd tier of APs open up. Oh well! That's what beers and margarita's at DCA are for!

My last day as well. I wasn't planning on buying Genie + but maybe now I should consider it. I have used it at WDW and hated it.

I haven't used Genie+ at either park before. But, based upon reports I have read in various threads, it appears that guests prefer DLR Genie+ to WDW Genie+. Obviously, this isn't anything scientific and just based upon my review of what others have said. I'm not sure I fully understand why the Genie+ lanes don't sell out at DLR as fast as WDW, other than volume of users? Enjoy your trip!

Heading down August 7 - 11 to DL Hotel for our 10th Annual Father/Son Trip before he heads off to college!

Have a few ADR (Lamplightx2, River Bell, Oga's, Carnation), WOD Dessert Party, and the Tomorrowland Terrace fireworks

It should be a great time.
