I have another question! We are using a dinning plan while at DW. The cakes I want to buy are surprises and I don't want anyone in our 13 party to see price and feel guilty. I saw that when you order a cake they take your credit card number. I would rather pay cash or actually use a gift card to pay for the cakes at the meal. Is that possible?

Thanks
Stephanie

We have always given a CC however paid cash on the day we received the cake. You can ask your server for a separate bill for just the cake.

My daughters cake from 1900 Park Fare, 6inch size, I paid $35 total for it.

How did you order this I want exactly this but instead of the brave pic I want one with Marie (aristocat ). Did magic kingdom cakes do it? I'm not sure how to fill out the generic order form to get a cake like this.

Hi All,
So I'm trying to decide what to do about ordering my 10-year-old niece a cake. Her birthday is on 1/30 and we'll either be at Epcot or MK that day. I do have reservations at Teppan Edo, but I'm confused about how customizable their cakes are. I called just now and it's busy, so I thought I'd check with you.

a) Are their cakes customizable? I'm not looking for much, just a simple, cost-effective 6-inch.

b) Is there any chance that I'd be able to get a last-minute reservation at BoG if I tell them our circumstances? I'm bringing my cousin with us on our family trip because I know it's her only chance to go to Disney as a kid. Her dad has had a really hard time supporting them since her mom, my aunt, passed away when she was a baby and this is her 10th birthday without her. I really want to make this special for her, especially since I'm afraid she'll be homesick without her dad. I wonder if there's anyone I could talk to there that could get me a reservation this last-minute, any ideas? I think BOG would be a really special place for her to celebrate and I know they'll make great cakes there.
Thanks for your feedback, guys!

I don't know that they will be able to give u a reservation but I would keep calling as someone posted a thread about a lot of times opening up at BOG.

I've been working with Theresa to design our cake to be delivered to Garden Grill on 2/7. This trip will be us, my parents, my brother and his family and my youngest brother so I wanted a fun cake to surprise everyone with. My boys (10 & 7) have been helping me design it.

We ordered a 8" vanilla cake with white chocolate mousse filling and butter cream icing (tinted blue). It will have a 2D image of Peter Pan, Wendy, John, Michael and Tink flying over NeverLand on top with Peter Pan themed decorations on top and around the cake.

She quoted me $95.00+tax (and gratuity since we're a big party).
I've ordered cakes from GF in 2009 and from the Boardwalk Bakery in 2011 and we were very happy with them both. I can't wait to see this one!!

a. You may be able to order a cake from elsewhere and bring it to your meal, but they don't have the option of a fancy fondant cake.
Teppan Edo & Tokyo Dining 407-827-8773
6-inch $23 cake in any combination of chocolate and/or vanilla
8-inch $35 cake, same options
10-inch $49 cake, same options
$5 charge for inscription or character screen print

b. If the ADRs are all taken, then they're all taken. You can keep trying. I managed to get a BoG ADR past the 180 day mark for our trip in April (I think it was around 60 days before). You could also try to walk up, but you wouldn't really be able to plan a cake for that.

I'm sure there's somewhere other than Teppan Edo that may be a little more "special" and could accommodate a fancier cake, if that's what you want.

How big of a cake would I need to order to accommodate a white chocolate Cinderella? Wondering if 6 inches would be enough or if we have to go up to 8.

Thanks!

An 8" would be the best choice, so they can add flowers or other decorations. A 6" would be large enough just for the figure but no flowers.

Thanks! That's pretty much what I was expecting. I guess I'll just have to plan on eating a little more cake. Poor me, lol.

Does anyone have a picture of the Cinderella? Especially painted? I know I've seen Belle and Tinkerbell, but I don't recall coming across Cinderella on any of the cakes pics I've seen.

Here you go!

Thank you for posting this!! I'm planning to order an elaborate cake for my sister Cindy's 50th birthday next July to be delivered to California Grill. We'll be staying at the Contemporary on 14th floor at the time. I want a two tiered cake with the castle in the top tier and Cinderella on the bottom tier looking up at the castle somehow. Don't know exactly what to ask for as far as design.

I'm sure they'll be able to come up with something I would like. Just wish I was more creative!!

Ok need some help. I emailed magic kingdom earlier this month with a cake request & they were unable to make the cake I wanted. The gave me a few options & I just decided on a cake. I go to respond to the magic kingdom email and I keep getting a permanent delivery failure email after attempting to send from two different email accounts. I tried to call and I received the voicemail. My daughters birthday is Thursday and I am starting to worry about the timing. I know waiting to the last minute is not the smartest choice however I had a few family and work issues that took my focus away from planning. Please help me figure out the best way to place my order. I can not use the order form because I am ordering a custom mini cake.

I ordered a cake and after the initial email I corresponded with them through the email at the bottom of that page. We get our cake on Jan 28 and ordered Jan 17. I first emailed on the 15 and sent a picture and detailed description. She sent a price and asked that I write her the flavors etc I sent that. She then emailed me a description of what I will be getting and confirmation number. I was very impressed by the quick response and really hope I'm impressed with the cake. I would give email I used but not sure if its ok to post it here.

I ended up calling and leaving a voicemail. I received a return phone call & placed my order over the phone. Their email box is full which is why I couldn't send my email. Feeling a lot better now that my order is in. Thanks for responding :-)

Since it's getting so close, I'd call Private Dining at the Contemporary (call the main resort phone number and ask to be transferred) and explain what's happened. They're the ones making the cake, and although they don't like taking MK cake orders directly, you're in a tight spot right now with no communication and an email and phone number that aren't getting you anywhere. Good luck!:thumbsup2

When is the latest I should order a chocolate slipper to be sure I can get it? We are unsure of which night and restaurant we want to do it at.

I'd wait no longer than 72 hours before. Where are you staying? You might be able to have it sent to your room....

We're at BWV but would prefer it at a meal. We are debating over CM and BOG just not sure which day we are going.

Birthday cake at GFV. All total 60$ Only request was mini cake to be a little pirate themey. The chocalate was delicious with the slipper. Worth the price. Was delivered to our room before we even got there.

Question about this cake.

Thinking of treating myself at my CRT breakfast for an early birthday present (February is the closest time I've ever been in WDW to my birthday... of course my birthday always falls on spring break week so I can NEVER afford the nuttiness down there!) and I wanted to know how you managed the mini cake with only one tier? Did you have a hassle ordering it? My upcoming trip is solo, and I know even a 2-tier mini will be too much for me, and I'd hate to waste it.
