For a 10-inch cake covered in fondant, made in fancy flavors, topped with the white chocolate Mickey and Minnie figurine, and made by one of WDW's priciest bakeries, that sounds about right. You can cut down the price by getting an 8-inch (Disney's group-size-to-cake-size recommendations are hilariously generouswe had a 6-inch cake at UK Pubside for 6 people and didn't even eat half of it), asking for buttercream covering instead of fondant, and/or ditching the Mickey and Minnie.
Hope you'll share pictures!![]()
Thanks so much lurkyloo. I think we will try the 8 inch version. We have ordered fruit ($9.75 per person!) as well as the cake so there will be plenty of food.
We had originally booked pubside for 2hours for dinner. We were so impressed with your experience there. However, they kept sending us buffet/banquet menus and wouldn't entertain thoughts of what we wanted to eat (a selection from the Rose and Crown!) so we opted to have dinner at the Rose and Crown and then move out to Pubside for dessert from 8:30 - 9:30. Seems pricey to reserve the area for dessert only, but you only have one 25th anniversary!
Thanks for the advice
