I just ordered a 6in replica of our DFTWs wedding cake. It's a 6in square 4-layer red velvet w/cream cheese frosting inside. She said that they could probably just do white buttercream outside to save us some money instead of fondant. It will have mickey heads all over the cake in black and teal and a Mickey & minnie anniversary chocolate topper (what is that? anyone have a pic?).

I was quoted $87 :scared1: She said it was $40 for the cake, $30 for the decorations and $17 for the chocolate mickey and minnie figures. Oh well, I guess we'll eat cake the whole time we're in WDW ;)

what is the smallest cake I can get customized and special flavors at Contemporary?

You know, I just contacted them about a cake for May, and they said they can do custom 6-inch cakes now! :hyper: As for flavors, you'll definitely need to check with them to see what's available. They definitely can do more than the standard choc/vanilla/marble, though.

is this a 6 inch?

how much did it cost?

and do the flavours of the cake and filling depend on where you order it from?

i'd love to order it for our 1th anniversary trip but that's not for 3 more years so i've got plenty of time

I am sooooo happy Grand Floridian is doing the cake for my event now. (At least, I'm happy until they give me a price quote next week ;-)

This was PERFECT for two people after a large breakfast. The cake was so moist and delicious!!

Just wanted to share my experience this morning...

I called the cakeline this morning to ask about a birthday cake for my June trip. I wanted something a bit more than the plain vanilla or chocolate they offer at all restaurants but we don't have any ADR's at the resorts with a bakery (except for a chef mickey breakfast)

I was prepared to ask about a delivery charge to have it at Whispering Canyon Cafe or Ohana. Imagine my excitement when the lady was telling me my options and the last one was for exactly what I wanted...a Mickey head cake!

I have only looked at the first few posts of this thread so I didn't know if this was mentioned anywhere else but thought I would mention that the Mickey head is a standard option...at least at Ohana!

How wonderful that they had exactly what you wanted! :goodvibes Mickey head cakes (or "Mickey Mouse Cakes" as Disney calls them) are available at every resort except Coronado Springs and the All-Stars and in every theme park table-service restaurant except those in the following Epcot pavilions: France, China, Morocco, Mexico, Japan, and Italy.

We are staying at Saratoga, and I would really like to have a small cake waiting for my girls when we check in. I'm wondering if its possible, and who I would contact about this. I'm looking to get two of the second cake on the site below - but with Minnie.

TIA!

Also - Who is Pat that everyone is ordering these cakes from? Do they have a website????

I do not believe you can have anything perishable left in your room prior to check-in. If they can do it, it would be at some time after you have actually checked in.
