Sorry they are so big first time posting a picture on here. This is from the BC Bakery delivered to Cape May, and we got this last June.

After spending ages drooling over the lovely cakes, I've finally ordered mine from Brian and the Contemporary bakery. It's being delivered over to Whispering Canyon where we're celebrating DD's birthday in July.

I can't wait to see what Brian will create and I'll be sure to post pictures once we get back :goodvibes

Here is the Little Mermaid Cake my family ordered for me for my 50th birthday party last July 30. My DD called me and asked what my favorite Disney movie was and my DH ordered the cake from the GF bakery. We celebrated the big day at Narcoosees. The cake was chocolate and vanilla, IIRC and was delicious! Sorry I don't know the cost but, whatever it was, it was worth every penny.

Hooray for lots of pretty cake pictures in the past few hours! Thanks everyone for sharing!

Do you think it's too soon to order a custom cake for July 21st? I want something very specific and we are eating at California Grill. Should I start the process now? Thanks!

Does anyone know if YC private dining or the BW bakery make the Mad Hatter cake? From what I can see on the previous posts, it's usually done at the GF bakery.

Thanks

What a gorgeous cake! My DH is taking me to the world for my 50th birthday this September. I am so excited about the trip! We are having dinner on my birthday at 1900 Park Fare. It doesn't hurt to wish really hard that DH would call and order a cake.

Thanks! It was even prettier in person. It had a fine sugar on it that looked like sand so it sparkled.

Didn't see but is there a Lightening McQueen cake you can order. DS has asked for one for 3rd B-Day.

What would be better --- chocolate with white buttercream, or chocolate with chocolate butter cream?

Yes mine in the previous page was made at YC/BC last June and delivered to Cape May Cafe it was huge I'm sure they'll make smaller ones this was the actual Mad Hatter cake not just the shape. Good luck!

So looking at these cakes is making me think maybe I should get one for my Nov. Trip (we're celebrating 2 people turning 28 and 1 person's first trip to WDW). If I do get one any suggestion for what size cake to get for 3 people? I'd want to have the cake at our first dinner which will be at the Grand Floridian Cafe

Loved your cake! Thanks :)

yep! we had one made for our ds's 3rd in april...its listed under cars if you look at what tricia has typed up for us...or if you go back to my post about 5-10 pages back. brian at the contemp made it. it was great!

Dinner at 1900 Park Fare--trying to decide between white chocolate slipper and mini castle cake for my mom's birthday. Which would you choose? We would split it between the 4 of us. I don't want a big cake because we will return to MK afterwards and don't want to carry it around. Thanks!

You can get a two-tiered mini castle cake. That should be enough for you to share. The slipper is pretty, but I prefer the cake to the slipper (for the taste of it).

Alrighty all you knowledgable cake ladies, could you please help me out with this question?:goodvibes Can I order my 3DD's the slipper dessert at the GF Cafe? I don't recall seeing it there from threads past but it is a GF restaurant so I'd imagine I could, right? Or perhaps a mini castle cake? Thanks in advance, this thread is highly addicting and makes me want to eat buttercream by the handful!
