The Grand Floridian only delivers cakes to the GF or the Polynesian. However, all the Deluxe resorts and Epcot have pastry teams that make beautiful custom cakes. Post #2 of this thread has all the contact information. Just look for the resort or park where you wish to have the cake delivered.

Awesome, thank you! I thought that was how it worked but couldn't remember exactly. It's been too long since I've been on the boards, I feel rusty with my Disney knowledge!

Here is the cake I had delivered to our room at the Contemporary for my husband's birthday. It was about $77 with tax and gratuity. White cake with white chocolate mousse. I added the figures to the top myself.

And my daughter's princess cake from CRT

How big is the princess cake? and was it part of that package that Disney offers?

Yes, it's part of the Her Royal Highness package. But you can also just get the cake if you want. We got the cake and tiara but decided to skip the balloon that comes with the package since we were leaving the next day. The top tier is 4 inches and the bottom tier is 6 inches. Disney says it feeds 6-8. We had six people in our group four of which were adults and we didn't even eat half! They will box it up for you but we were in the park for hours after dinner and it was melting within minutes outside in the heat so sadly we had to throw it out. It was delicious though. We got chocolate with chocolate mousse.

Does anyone have a picture of a 2 tier mini cake with Tinkerbell or Minnie? Looking to do a mini cake for my mom's 74th birthday in Dec at Chef Mickey's.

thanks

Here are 1-tier mini cakes with Tinkerbell. Shouldn't look too much different with a 2nd tier....

Thanks for all the great information on this thread! It has helped tremendously in planing for a "surprise" graduation cake for an upcoming trip.

I have a question about a response time. On 6/14 I emailed the pastry team at the CR as I need the cake delivered to Artist Point - what is the normal turn around time for a response from their pastry team? Should I wait several more days before sending a follow-up email? Our trip is in 30 days.

Thanks in advance!!

At least one of the CR pastry chefs is off on Mondays and Tuesdays. You might send a followup on Sunday and see if he has time to respond then.

Thank you lurkyloo - I received an email response this morning!! Very excited to order a cake from the CR!!

I just wanted to send out a quick "thanks" to everyone on this thread -- I have been reading it for a few months and just ordered a cake for my daughter's surprise 4th birthday trip in a few weeks! We are going to get a 6" Minnie Mouse themed cake for dinner at Chef Mickey's -- chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling and peanut butter frosting! I will post photos once we see it up close and personal :)

Does anybody have a picture of the crown or can direct me to where I can see it?

You just email them to order the slipper dessert at

wdw.magickingdomcakes@disney.com

You can order these by just emailing them with your name and reservation confirmation number and the following details:
· Whether you would like white chocolate or dark chocolate for the slipper (crowns are only available in white chocolate)
· What you would like written on the plate (up to 4 words)

They do require at least a 72-hour notice for the above options. They will email you back a confirmation and you pay for it at the restaurant. I know your DD7 will love it, my DS4 was with us and he loved it.

We had dinner at 'Ohana for DS's birthday. Cake was delivered to our table at the end of the meal. When I ordered, I got the standard choices of chocolate or vanilla cake, and the white or dark chocolate mousse. I wasn't up for a lot of back and forth to get a different flavor (I really wanted almond cake and the amaretto crunch). So we went with vanilla cake and chocolate mousse. This was a 3 layer 8" cake, it was huge. It fed a party of 8 twice with some left over. The lighting effect on the tree was really cool. And the cake was very good. Honestly, the vanilla and chocolate flavors were absolutely yummy. Surprisingly, the fondant even tasted good...I normally peel that off.

Anyway, I was charged $120 for the cake beforehand. There was nothing on our dinner bill about the cake at all, no delivery fees nothing added.

DS was completely surprised and didn't expect it at all. The over the hill was a joke for his advanced age of 23!

These are so pretty! Where are they available to order?

These were made by the Grand Floridian pastry chefs for a Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings bridal showcase, so the Grand Floridian for sure. But any Deluxe Resort pastry team should be able to re-create them if you send in the pictures. Post #2 of this thread will show you if the place you're staying or dining is serviced by a Deluxe Resort bakery.

My family will be there the end of October and we are celebrating my twins 10th birthday while there. And we love Halloween so I was hoping to do a themed Halloween cake and I was wondering if there any pictures of cakes so I might get an idea.

Ok so this may have been asked, but I can't find the answer. I know that a cake can't be delivered to your room unless you're checked in, but how does this work with online check in? If you get a text with the room number, does that count as being checked in? Or do you need to physically use the magic band to enter the room? Or do you just have to check in up front?

You just have to be checked in and physically there. This is in case you change rooms from what you are originally assigned prior to arrival.
