I know this may seem like a really dumb question that I should already know the answer to, but I can't find it anywhere. What are the official dates for DIS Con II? (I know it's sometime during the first week of December.)

I'd love to be there this year, but I'm going to WDW 11/14 - 11/23 with my children and my parents. I'm trying to figure out if it is at all feasible financially.

Am I on the right track for the costs associated:
Convetion fee: $210
My AP expires on 11/23, so I'd have to renew it.
Airfare - $100 - $150
Hotel room - I'd probably look into staying at one of the All Stars.
Food ~$300

Thanks for any info you can give me.
Beth

Hi Beth. The dates are Dec. 4-8.
You're close on the costs. ;)
It's quite possible that we can get a room at The S/D for $129/night, so you might want to consider this. :D
I have no idea how much food will cost....it will depend on how many mini meet meals you plan to attend. ;) For instance, I'm going to the HoopDeeDoo mini meet on the 3rd, MVMCP on the 8th (with dinner at Chef Mickey's), and the Candlelight Processional on the 9th (with dinner at Japan) = All extra money!

I hope you can make this work for you. :D

Beth,
There is also a thread for people that are looking for roomies for DC2 (started by Brisully i think). That would be another cost cutter. It's too bad that your AP would need renewing as that is a hunk of change:( .

Tia,
Gee, my DH even got me my plane ticket for my birthday this year------------do ya think------  :smooth:

Anyway Beth, Hope to meet you there!! Keep us informed!!

Corinne, I was just talking to my DH about this very subject. :smooth: I told him that I was highly suspicious of all the women who are getting the green light to go without the rest of the family....and he jokingly said; "you mean you don't know about the big DIS-Widower's Convention?" LOL :p LOL :p I can just see a bunch of men with a kabillion children running wild meeting at DISneyland to discuss thier problems.....'yeah, that Pete is the Pied Piper!' 'Watch out for The DIS' 'My wife has left me for another.....his name is Mickey.' LOL LOL LOL

Tia, ROFLMAO (i wish my "A" was that easy to get rid of! )

As soon as you said
I can just see a bunch of men with a kabillion children running wild meeting at DISneyland
that's when I started laughing uncontrollably!:smooth:

Didn't your DH give you the green light to go without your family, dear? Careful, I might become highly suspicious....... ;) :p

Steve, I could easily spin off into a paranoid fit here! NOT! :p LOL :)

Someone just sent me this link that all of your husbands would need to be entertained at Disneyland while you are at DIS-CON II. I am up to the challenge. ;)

OMG Leslie! Too too funny! :) I'm not sure if sending my DH your way would be a good call.....you have quite the reputation for 'shakin' it up' ;) :p ;) :p However, I think my DD would enjoy your company immensely! :) :) :)

To tell the truth, I whipped this thread open as fast as I could because I thought that maybe you were going to be able to come to DIS-Con afterall. I really wish you could come. :(

Anyhow, hi to ya. :D
