I know that the thyroid is controllable, it's just one more thing to worry about.:sad2:
The MRI did make me the most nervous, not the MRI itself, it's the waiting for the results that is making me crazy already....They told me I wouldnt get the results of either test until my follow up visit w/the ear doc that ordered them-11/21:scared1: by then I'll be a basket case...I already am now!

:grouphug: We're here with you!!!

:grouphug: We're here with you!!!

Thank you, darlin':grouphug: I'll keep you posted...Tonight is the ultrasound on the thyroid....While I'm there, I'm gonna see if my doc can try to get the MRI results quicker, otherwise I'm gonna need anxiety meds too, LOL.

amloveaffair-not sure that we've met before....Nice to meet you!:)

ETA:I just realized amloveaffair was the OP! Awww, sorry you lost your post count, but nice to have you back!

You get the test results and send me the anti-anexity meds;)

:woohoo:
Update us later-although I think the thyroid might need to be read by a radiologist(and if your are having it done in the evening-it might take a day or two-to get official results):grouphug:

And I just realized that this thread started in 2003! :scared1:

Four years - that's an awful lot of Orli-lovin'!

canwegosoon- Thank you!!!!
GREAT NEWS:
I called my doc and was telling the receptionist I CAN NOT wait for my evil ear doc to give me the MRI results:laughing: ....She actually put my doc on the phone with me:woohoo: He said '' I have your MRI in my hand right now'' NO BRAIN PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

The ultrasound tech said that she isn't supposed to suggest this, so not to tell my doc, but she said call my doc tomorrow around 2pm and they'll give me my ultrasound results.

So now I just have to wait for evil ear doc 11/21 to find out what the heck IS wrong with me, and what do we do now.

willis- thanks hun, I appreciate your support.....I did ask Kim here about her brother, but she didnt reply....I hope we hear from her soon!!!!

diznygirl- well, we love us some Orli:cloud9:

Athenna...I am telling you...you have what I have with the dizziness. The Dr's can't find a thing, but I have it-and at times it is really bad, other times not so bad. Mine came on at 39-40 ish. My old internist said it might be allergies after trying to rule out Meniere's(my mother-the I'm not going to a Dr no matter what-who also has dizziness) and that might be part of the problem, but I thing there are several parts to it.

Mine gets much worse with stress, and lasts for months. But I have yet to have a dizzy spell at WDW:cool1: But I can walk into walls and look like I am really drunk when I am tired(gave up drinking 10+years ago). I have fallen over at school looking up to adjust a clock. 5+ years later...I just live with it. But I do need to find a new Dr.

I am thinking about you-I am glad that it is not some kind of neuroma.
Go have a good time on your trip-you have been through enough the relaxing atmosphere will be a needed change....I'll be waiting for your post after 3 tomorrow.:teacher:

We need a pic!!!

Oldie, but good with the hands:rolleyes1

I've heard of that Meniere's, the nurse practioner mentioned it, but she cant do anything for me.....She said to try Claritin-D in the mean time.....I just have to sit and suffer until I go back to the ear doc on 11/21...And what she'll do for me next, I have no idea....I am starting to get disguested & depressed with this whole thing.
There is no way I can go on the trip like this...My ears still hurt, no doc is going to to tell me it is ok to fly, unless they get me on antibiotics before then...And I cant even imagine walking through the airport, let alone walking around WDW, no way.
Now today I wait for results of thyroid ultrasound.

I just came across this thread and wanted to say Hi! Yup, I am also an Orli fan....I admit it. Is it just me, or does Orlando look so much hotter with the mustache and goatee? Ahh:cloud9: ...the days of him being a pirate....

Wanted to update you all---I got the news today on the job

From the principal I have been working for-for 5 years
"Sorry Terri bad news, I went with a younger teacher with experience in teaching this subject to this age group" (yet I have 3yrs experience, plus 2 years volunteer experience at this grade level)

So no luck for me, and I am going to stop subbing at this school since his major(and only objection) was that I was a parent(my children are older then the level I would have been teaching at). No more volunteering either!!!

I just feel I will never find a job or sell my house. DH recinded his resignation at the request of his CIO, so at least that is good(I'm not broke living on the street-yet):rotfl2: And when did 45 get old...I still love Orly:love:

Athenna-I hope you have good news.:cheer2:
