Great episode :thumbsup2 I actually stayed awake... in fact I was very sleepy when it started BUT I found myself wide awake soon enough :bitelip: And I too, cried at the end :guilty: :teeth:

Wow - an incredible episode. I also yelled, "OMG" when she got shot. Lynette did great with her acting while Nora was dieing (sp?)

I am actually going to miss Nora. I thought she brought something good to the show.

Just like Beth said. Even though I could see it coming that it would probably be Nora, I was completely surprised HOW it happened.

Oh....and I loved Lynnette's comment to Tom earlier in the show when talking about taking his daughter full time as a 5th child. "I didn't want the first 4, but they're starting to grow on me." :rotfl:

This was a good episode. It was intense but still funny. When Nora got shot DH & I both said "Whoa!!". "I think the words you're looking for are - Thank you." That was so funny... in a crazy way of course. Nora did bring a very psychotic edge to the show that was nerve racking & funny. She will be missed.

Laurie Metcalf is such a talented actress! She can out act just about everyone else on that show.

Why doesn't she has her own series?

herc.

Great show like everyone said, now Lynette WILL have that 5th child. ;)

I have to add that I really loved Lynette's speech, where she said how we all have things that are bad, but we suck it up and deal with it and not by shooting people. (or something along those lines) I loved it. :thumbsup2

Interesting, the new neighbor saved her as he hit Caroline with a can and caused her to miss, only hitting Lynette in the arm instead of chest. Boy that Sunday school teacher is a good shot. I am surprised she missed her husband the 1st time.

Anyway, I wonder what the story with the new neighbor will be.

Did I mention I think the reason Orson hit Mike is he believed Mike killed Monique. I wonder who really did? Who was Orson visiting in the mental institution in the 1st place?

I loved last night's episode. I already knew it was going to be Nora that was shot since somebody posted the magazine spoiler on this thread a while back. However, it happened way differently than I had pictured it and I was shocked when it did happen! I won't lie. I cried too when Lynette was over Nora and she started crying. I was upset at Nora dying. I am glad she will finally be off the show but I hate how she died too. Although it did make for a great episode so I wouldn't change it! I cried again when Julie and Lynette were reunited with Susan and Tom. Very intense episode. I loved the speech Lynette gave after Nora was shot. Lynette should win an award for that I think.

On the previews next week it showed Julie and Austin making out and rebelling against Susan. I still think Julie will end up getting pregnant and that really makes me think that even more. I also forsee Kayla blaming Lynette for her mom's death and becoming the child from Hell!

Or Tom, for that matter being shocked that Lynette told on Nora about her "seducing my Husband" wow that was a shocker!

Why was Bree having a hostage party? :confused3

I remember 2 of the ladies (one Mrs. McKloskey??) coming in the front door and the one whispering to the other..."see? I told you she'd have food!" :lmao:

I cried too!! As much as I didn't like Nora, it was really sad to see that happen. I guess I get too wrapped up in it :) haha

I was worried about Lynette because she had been having the dreams blaming herself for not saving Mary Alice, and then she may have felt at fault for Nora's death too. I thought the next step would be for her to lose it, but then she had that dream about MA that sort of made it seem like she is finally at peace with it now.

Great episode!!! :thumbsup2

Ok, that really was spectacular! DH and I watched it this evening, and even though the plot had been "ruined" because I refuse to ignore spoilers and recaps  , it was still a fantastic episode! I must admit I'm still quite glad Nora is gone, but what an intense scene! I'm not sure it had to happen that way! :rotfl:

So what do you all think will happen in the next few weeks about this whole hostage situation? Obviously Carolyn is dead, so there won't be much of a legal issue. The Sunday School mom isn't much of a character I don't think, so... will they just move on? It seems to me that a situation like that, with the whole town on edge for hours would change a community a lot! At the same time, Desperate is sort of notorious for letting big plot points resolve without much incident!

Any thoughts?

There is a story behind the women who fired the final shot. She did not have to shoot Caroline. Once she no longer had a gun she was not a threat. They could over power her easy. They could of just walked out and let the police grab her. This was the women who Caroline was her Sunday School teacher.

There is a story there. Same with the new neighbor.

I agree, just something about the way she looked after she had shot her.

Good point, the new neighbor and Austin probably could have kept her down pretty easily without her gun! :goodvibes

As much as I'm sure there is some story with the woman who shot Carolyn and the new neighbor, the previews seemed like they were just moving on like nothing happened next week. Everything they previewed seemed like it was all back to the old hokey highjinks. Hmm.... :confused3

Even though I figured it was Nora (as did DH, who doesn't read these boards but figures out every show plot out there), I was still shocked by it actually happening. I too cried, mostly because Lynette was - and then of course the reunions.

I also cried at the boys' comment about Mom coming back from the store at Bree's. That kind of stuff always gets me.

I gotta think that Lynette's comment will come back to haunt her somehow - probably by way of Kayla. Somehow, she'll find out what Lynette said.

I got a kick out of the old ladies that went to Bree's to watch the events, just for the food. :lmao:

I don't think there is. I think we were just supposed to get that the lady's son was in Carolyn's Sunday School class and the lady felt doubly threatened because this crazy lady had been teaching her son and she was being the protective mama bear (to the absent child).

In true DH fashion, I bet we never see her again.

I think the storyline began & ended with that episode also.

What did you think? I thought the episode was ok. Loved the parts with Orson's mom. Dixie Carter is great! Can't wait to find out the story with them. Susan and Gabby's storylines were blah. Scary about the new neighbor guy though.
