I believe in an earlier tiff with Susan involving Susan driving a vehicle and Edie on Roller blades and trying to keep up with her b/c of an issue...the broken ankle occurred.

oh thanks!!! i remember that scene, but didn't make the connection that edie was injured then.

Neither did I, LOL!

Edie brought it up either in a later scene, or in the next episode...I think as a guilt trip.

I remember thinking melodrama, and not anything significant happening from the tiff.

oh yeah...that would make sense!! THANKS!! i didn't catch it if it was mentioned on the show.......

I felt really bad for Caleb too, poor guy. I wonder if Caleb is slow, because he suffered brain damage at the hands of his father.

I knew Paul would be back when they showed him in the recap at the beginning of the show. I'm glad he's back, he's a great bad guy.

Wasn't Edie accidentally run over by Susan because she was upset that she was dating her ex-husband.

I think that the Dad might have caused the "damage" to Caleb which has made him slow and disturbed.

ETA: I guess I should have read what every one else posted before I posted.

i always thought that it was the dad becos of that comment she made in the first episode to her son about how it was harsh of him to say his father was dead. makes me wonder what she meant by that?

i missed that too! maybe the actress really hurt herself, like when karen on will & grace injured her leg so for the season premiere they worked it into the storyline and put her on a motorized wheelchair. but i don't remember edie's leg being explained

I have a question. I saw the scene with Caleb but I missed some of it. I saw where he was starting to get out of the basement and Mathew said something. Caleb got a sad expression and went back downstairs. Why? What did Mathew say? And did Caleb kill somebody? That's what I thought I heard.

Oh and I think he is Betty's son. I suspect he was the son she talked about in therapy that time. I don't think he died like she said. I think he suffered some type of brain damage as a result of a beating from his father (as another poster said). I suspect there is more to the story of what actually happened to the father but I don't think that is the father in the basement. That would make for another interesting storyline if the father suddenly showed back up.

I have had my doubts about Rex's death but I do believe he must be dead by this point although I still have a tiny doubt occasionally. I am glad Paul is back. It wouldn't be the same without the bad guy!

Does anyone think the guy who came out of the basement last week in a military suit(I think that was what he was wearing) seemed older than the guy this week. I did think last week that it was the father, but now he does seem like he could be a son/brother. :confused3

is anyone else wondering what Tom's big secret is?

Last week wehn MA was talking about great dads and how they make thier wives feel like great moms - something seemed off there -

I wonder if they are going to just let that drop or if it will come out soon!

You know, I didn't notice that but my dh said the exact same thing! He said he thought he was older last time. Like I said I didn't notice but the scene happened so fast so maybe it was a different actor that week from the one that played him this week? :confused3

It bugs me that Tom is suddenly the perfect father/husband. In season 1 he couldn't be bothered with caring for his kids when he wasn't away on business and the one time he did he knew it was too hard for him. Now suddenly he has morphed into superdad? Seems unlikely to me. And I remember when his dad had visited in season 1 and he told him he did something terrible and Lynette wouldn't be able to forgive him or something along those lines. I think it hinted that maybe he had cheated on her but I don't know. Now I am curious if they have just decided to let that storyline drop?

As far as Rex's death, I think he really is gone. On a local radio station a couple of months back there was an interview with him and he was talking about the fact that he is always killed off the shows he is on, and that he should have expected his fate on this one.

Caleb turned around and went back to his cell when Thomas said if theY (police, jury) learned he was the murderer they wouldn't care if he was "slow". They would execute him anyway.

Could there be 2 people in the basement - 2 'chambers'
notice how she didn't feel the need to have a gunwhen she brought dinner down?
Far fetched yes - but it is DH and I agree it looked like two completely different men (size and demener too!)

I thought Bree's head was going to pop off in the cemetary - :teeth:
I agree teh prison group councelling was hilarious - as was when the lawyer told Carlos exactly what he wanted to do with his wife :rotfl2:
she cracks me up - but I wish that dang belly would show!

the previews for Carlos trying to read the ultrasound look humorous.... :teeth:

Shock and Awe :rotfl: Go Lynette!!!

I now feel sorry for Caleb, I too think he is slow because of the father. My heart broke when he turned around and went back downstairs. He looked so sad and alone.

Some of my thoughts about this season of DH were also addressed in this week's Entertainment Weekly. First of all, there are way too many "individual storylines." It was great that there were some scenes with all the women again last night!

Second, there are just so many castmembers, that I always feel like they "forget" about issues, but it seems if I wait patiently, the writers do finally address those forgotten issues. Whereas on a daytime soap opera, I think the writers think the viewers (us! :teeth: ) are idiots and we'll never remember a previous plot, I think Marc Cherry is smarter than that. He knows that Tom issue is still out there...the writers will address it eventually!

JMO,
Amy :)

IMHO, those hair extension don't do much for Gabrielle. They seem to have gone way more "cheap and loose" with her look this year.

I did think last night's show was much better. Lynette -- wow, comb her hair and she goes from frazzled Mom to Hot Babe! :cool1:

I tried to tape it and I had the VCR on the wrong channel! It's all DH's fault!! :rotfl:

Is there a website that recap's the show in detail. AARRGHHH!!! I'm so MAD! I was looking forward to watching it when I got home late last night!
