I think someone on the show had to be a SAHM....you have married Lynette, divorced, single Susan & Edie (what the deal is with her boy's Dad, we don't know), Bree, happily married (well, sorta), Gabby, married and wants NO kids....I think the show was about the different types of "housewives" and the different "walks of life" they have. If it wasn't Lynette, the writers would have put someone else in the SAHM now working Mom role/storyline. I'm not offended....I'm just glad I don't have to be in that situation because I couldn't imagine...and sadly, there are real Moms who's life is exactly like hers... :( Does the storyline need to move on?? ...absolutely!! People watch tv

I agree, while I am offended or at least bothered by the lynette story (because it is the one closest to my life) I think it is exagerated too much. Always one extreme or the other. They both have more choices then the show presents for the sake of covering the boadest spectum of mothers of young kids struggles. Then again I only have the 2 kids, both girls (pretty well bahaved) and none are twins. I dont' think I take myself as serousily either. (btw, part time working can be a great thing, something they haven't expolred and the kids are mostly in school now, why not have her work part time for a family friendly place, or better yet herself , and DH full time and both win a little?) They sell the situation short for the sake of drama and desperation (hense the name.)

I think the only 'unrealistic' thing about Lynettes storyline is her husband.

She gets home and he greets her with a hug and kiss, completely calm and in control.
He asks her how her day went.
The house is clean (now anyway!!)
The kids are tucked in bed nicely.

He isn't going crazy yet.
He isn't sitting in front of the tv with a beer watching the game with the housee messy!

Does anyone else get the feeling that Rex is somehow still alive?

I think it might be possible since the body was "dug up" for insurance reasons. Nobody really said insurance reason except bree. They just said she was a suspect. So basically we have no body which means he may be hiding.

I think the dug up the body to do a test for poison or something like that, since they found the note he wrote.
:confused3
But I wish he was alive!

I thought every "got" that the whole point is that all of the primary characters are basically bad people.

Guess not.

I don't know about that. Maybe basically good people who do bad things out of desperation? :confused3

He's dead. They had a wake for him! He's not going to lay there pretending to be dead and not have anyone notice. Don't you remember Brie changing his tie. If they bring him back I am not watching the show anymore, that would be just to over the top!

i think rex was a horrible person! why do people want him back? :confused3

I agree he was a bad person because he cheated on his wife, and i have no respect for people like that. However he didn't deserve to die like that, and George is a criminal he must pay for what he did.

Is it me or are the latest episodes (including last Sunday's) getting too dark? There wasn't too much humor too it. Too serious.

And what's up with Lynette's twins? They haven't been on the show this season. They're hilarious!

I agree I miss those two...they were always up to no good. I thought they went to the same school as the one who just started kindergarten so I was suprised we didn't see them on Sunday's episode.

I wonder if Zach will actually leave and try to find his dad or if something will prevent him from doing so.

Okay kids.....watching E! this morning......have some spoilers....hilight to read...IF you dare.................... ;)

George's Mom is coming to town! Guess who's playing her....soap vet--Linda Dano!! THAT is gonna be great!! Also, Susan is running into work issues...her publisher is leaving his firm and asks her to come w/ him..she agrees. (I guess he's starting his own firm??) There is going to have to be a problem with that...why else would she have "work" problems?? Maybe she'll be forced to sell her house and move in with Mike?? They also mentioned Susan's secret, but, I'm guessing that she is going to "come clean" to Mike about Zach..... Also, TONIGHT they will reveal the man chained up in Betty Applewhite's basement....oooo....gonna be good!! (hopefully anyway!) Lynette will be having problems with committing extra time to work (barhopping w/ the client) and they mentioned yet another new mystery coming to the "lane"......hhhmmmmm.......
That's about it for the spoilers!! Catch you all tonight!!! ;)

I heard some of the same last night on Hollywood Extra, but they said the reveal of who is in the basement would be in November for ratings sweeps...now I'm really ready for tonight's episode just to see if we find out! :cool1: It is on tonight right? We were out of town last week and I thought I remembered something about it not being on this week.

Hollywood Extra also said that November would be a jam packed month of surprises on DH! One being that somebody on Wisteria Lane would die. :earseek: Only 2 more weeks unitl the juicy stuff begins I guess. :cheer2:
